Not sure that would necessarily make someone feel safe. Leaving friends and extended family behind would also be of concern. Your life, as you know it, would end.

On the other hand, if you were keen on getting away, it could certainly be a great option :)

Anyone thinking about talking has considered the fact that their life will end, one way or another. The witness protection program gives them an alternative and the ability to do the right thing. Whole families have gone into protection, not extended, but immediate families. It's just about the only alternative available, and while I'm certain criminals have gotten their hands on one or two witnesses, they have a pretty good track record of preserving lives.

The worse thing that could possibly happen at this point would be the erosion of faith in a program which could very possibly be responsible for bringing her killer(s) to justice.

Oh, I totally get what you are saying. I'm just thinking about my grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, nieces and nephews I would have to leave behind. Not an easy decision there

It looks like the old one we know about, I don't see him mentioned in the records for the two publications prior to todays.

Probably has brothers with the same last name...Dunno. We may not solve the mystery, but they give us great fodder for sleuthing, which is what we like to do! LOL JMO

Have there been any more witnesses come forward to verify a party? If no one else confirms they were at a party, what would that say for Auntie? I am still just astounded at this cast of characters. I'm re-watching these interviews and I'm just floored!

Just saw the pictures of the flowers at the site. Wreaths and balloons were added. It is a beautiful tribute.

The U.S Marshals may also be there to catch POI who try to flee. Now I truly thhink that the feds only give Full Service Witness Protection when the defendants have money and long reach. But I do agree that they can help a witness relocate but it will probablu be via bus ticket for you only while your family deals with the aftermath.
I'm not 100% certain, but we can safely assume Jessica was transported against her will, or kidnapped. Doing so for the purpose of committing another crime or crossing state lines changes the severity of the crime, and also makes it a federal offense. Regardless, LEAs don't interject outside their jurisdiction.

The U.S. Marshal service doesn't have a publicly well defined mission, however one of their primary activities is the protection of federal witnesses.

Something tells me that particular agency isn't there by request, the federal government believes their presence is warranted.

Shootings today in Batesville. May be gang-related. But they are shootings. Jessica was burned alive. As far as we know, she wasn't shot. Who burns someone alive? The method was so cruel.

JMO Someone who really enjoys the horror of fire. If this was just a hit,she would have been shot. The torture by fire is either extreme hatred for her, or her death was an assignment that the torturer REALLY relished. SICK. JMO

Nothing shows up in the search.

Thank you for looking, this is something I found.

There's tree farming place around Muggy Hill in Courtland and there's a peach orchard near Batesville. It seems tree farming was an industry going back a while, with the turpentine, or spirits from the pine trees.

That article was dated Sept 2, and updated Sept 9...I did the same thing the other day, so don't feel bad.
Lol!! Thank you for pointing that out! :blushing:

The area looks completely devoid of employment opportunity, rife with drug addiction, poverty, and crime. Imagine a chance to turn over a new leaf, get away from the ********, and 20k in your pocket. For some the decision wouldn't be nearly so difficult. If this really is gang related and you wanted out, here's the opportunity to sing, and sing loud.

I agree one hundred times! That sums up what I feel perfectly. This was pure hate by someone who wanted her to pay for some perceived slight.

Send me to the beach. I'm tired of these PA winters. :)

Just out of curiosity, I think someone here posted a few days ago that he/she made a spreadsheet for all the known aliases of all the names that keep popping up here and elsewhere. I would love to have that if someone knows who it was or has a copy. With so many people going by so many names, you dont know if the family trees in that town are giant redwoods or Charlie Brown Christmas trees.

I'm confused too. It took me 24 hours to figure out Rachel and Denise were the same person! Lol

So, it may be the case that they may have kids that they'd like not to have come up, which explains the body language in the video a little bit more to me: his protective stance, her pushing information out, while he's still reluctant, both trying to get clear of this, being revealing personal of discord with Jessica even, for a reason, it may be possible.
Now the goverment knows who to get the child support from. Lol.

Remember Jessicas Mom said that since she had returned from "safe" house, she really just did not go out much except for work and visiting her friend across the street. The is Charlotte Wilkerson, AKA Auntie Sha-Sha. Auntie, as far as I can tell, is the only person who claimed that JC was going to a party. Auntie may have been a confidante of JC and may have been covering for her real destination. No one else claims to have seen JC at a "party". Did Auntie spill the beans? I do not know, but Auntie had to tell LE SOMETHING because they knew from JC's phone, that she had spoken with Auntie Sha Sha. JMO

Since I'm watching these videos, it made me wonder how I would come off during an interview with a reporter. I don't like attention and even though I am confident, I am somewhat camera shy. I guess I give Mister and Tutor credit for speaking because I would probably go down the "no comment" path. I'm especially thankful that they gave the interview because it opened the door for us to sleuth some more ;)

The pedophile sexual predator that I have been researching on another WS thread; Dwight M.Z. York, has 72 confirmed aliases and is presently serving 135 years in CO's Federal Super Max Prison for multiple child molestations and RICO..
