On to point #3…M&M gas station. It is very close to "downtown" Courtland which is a railroad , a church, a fire station, a defunct car wash, an abandoned wood church. You cannot really call it a town! As headed east out of Courtland and turned North onto hwy 51. The gas station was literally a minute away. The main gas station was well lit, the empty buildings to the south were not lit, nor was the gravel parking area located on the north side of the station. I walked my dog and observed the area, thankfully she took a while to do her business. The store was a remnant of an old station back when 51 was a main road. It had grills across all the windows and doors, the windows were a greasy yellow, and inside smelled thickly of deep frying food. Business was steady and increased the whole time I was there. I arrived around 5:40-left at about 6:15 (tried to be there at a similar social hour as JC was). At first, I was a little nervous being alone at this station considering my background knowledge, especially since my husband went to pick up my daughters from Notre Dame and then on to Michigan and I didn't tell him about this adventure I was planning. He thinks I went to go look around at property at Lake Arkebutla-I didn't want to have him worrying about me.

People were generally courteous and it also seemed like they were curious. "Who is the tall white woman with the long hair and long legs and driving a big black Suburban?" I am sure that most suspected I was there about the JC case in some manner or another. I got many looks, nods and hellos from the men. The women had different responses than the men, they were polite but not nearly as friendly. Almost every customer was African American, I only remember two white guys. Everyone was generally 20's to 40's range; only one child (2 years next week) came accompanying his mom. He was excited for Santa to come. Interest in the child relaxed everyone toward me. Soon some banter struck up. I had one man kept talking to me, I couldn't understand a word he said…I tried to be as polite as I could. Anyway many of these men came in and hung around kept asking for this and that , looking at things while I talked with AA. I avoided talk of Jessica mostly, partly because there were too many ears.<modsnip> The men all laughed, sorry I'm a terrible flirt, but it can have advantages as the men were now finding me approachable and conversation got better.

Inside there is not a lot of room at the register area and everyone gets clumped up together and the other customers either have to be polite and try not to be in your business or they are looking right at you…I'm sure tonight they were looking at my legs. Let's just say, I used them to my advantage and it was planned ahead of time. Anyway whether the men were interested in my legs or the conversation most of them stayed near the register for 20 or more minutes while I talked to AA just a little further past the register. There were others hanging around outside, cars were at the pumps to the north of the door I only saw one car in the dark part of the gravel lot.

Next bit after a quick break…conversation with AA.

Missed this the first time, but on Jessica's behalf, I thank you. (Cherokee ancestry here)

GrayMatter, thank you for your perspective and for cleansing the site.. Glad you protected yourself.. What was your instincts telling you of the aura at and around the crime scene site, if you don't mind sharing? <Blackfoot ancestry here>

GrayMatter, thanks for your 1st hand observations! I realize there was only so much time to drive around town;but did you check your GPS or (using old school) maps like I do notice any signs to Lake Enid?

I am intrigued with that idea.Let me explain my theory, it was a full moon & the place where Jessica was found was likely the primary route anglers used to trave to the lake.(Or fishing was a ruse or alibi for being in the area of the accident).Or,could Lake Enid have been the rumored party destination?

Thanks again for reporting back!

BBM Actually, I did not and I love old school maps; it was also getting dark and I was alone in an unfamiliar area.

I was nicknamed "the navigator" years ago on a trip with friends in London, it kinda stuck. Anyway, my husband is an avid fisherman and I could probably slide back down to the area on the premise of checking out fishing lakes with him. I was also planning to go to the Holly Springs State Park over the holidays sometime, it is not too far from Courtland and it has a very lovely woodland hike around a lake.

Yeah, there's a session limit, I hit it frequently and it drives me crazy. P.S. Glad I'm not your husband, you must drive him nuts :) lol

I also saw that picture the other nite and it sure did look like she had been scrappin'! Wonder how that happened?

I had never seen the News3 video of Sha Sha. She looked really anxious with interesting body language. No black eye though.

Usually I pay closer attention, but I was nervous about burning sage in my abalone shell due to the nature of the crime at that place. It seemed like the right thing, good cleansing/healing fire against bad fire but I thought if someone saw me it would bring unwarranted attention or even anger so I was especially cautious. Overall I did not like the site it made me anxious. I did feel good about performing the cleansing ritual, it felt right. I also gave a tin of sage to AA with instructions. He was both surprised and pleased that I treated him so kindly.

Something tells me it won't be the first time he burned a few herbs.

It shouldnt log you out. There is a check box somewhere that you can check asking to stay online. Maybe someone else remembers how to access it.

Nor did I. I thought it may have been posted and gotten yanked before I got to it....dunno.

It did exist. I think it identified an address for an individual, that is probably a bad thing.

I hope she will edit it and put it back out here...would love to hear all that she can tell us within TOS

There was! I don't know what happened…I might not have posted it right. Having to re-log in I might have thought I posted it and didn't.

I think my first post post might have been about JC's address and her mom's comment about JC's regular activity: hanging out at home, going to work and hanging out across the street with a friend. It appears the only house across the street (diagonally across is the only house there) is an address for Charlotte Wilkerson aka Auntie Sha Sha.

FWIW, when my aunt was murdered in her home in 2004, there were 3 people present. 2 were inside the home and 1 outside as a "lookout". Through hard work and probably more than a little bit of luck, they were arrested. Well, 2 were convicted but they kept the identity of the 3rd a secret from everyone as he/she turned from a "lookout" into a witness that spilled the beans on what they saw/heard that morning. It haunts me to this day that that person may very well have passed me on the street, came by to visit, knew my family, etc. IMO and personal experience, I'm sure I will never get past the feeling of "was it you" whenever I am visiting my hometown.

Whether or not this is relevant, idk, but it could be possible JC's case could be reliant on someone that saw something or was involved yet won't be charged. So, if it seems like there is a lot of first hand knowledge and not hearsay (which they wouldn't base an arrest or indictment on) it could be a situation like my aunt's case. If it is, I hope the family/loved ones can get closure and a sense of justice for JC. I know I didn't/haven't, the only thing I can hope is that the 3rd person is in prison on a separate crime. The 2 boys (15 & 16) were convicted of my aunt's murder, but they were also involved in the beating death of another person one county over the same week and were not alone in that crime. Just thought I'd throw that out there since I've seen it repeated throughout these threads "someone knows/saw something". It is a very good possibility.

The person that called 911 was cleared. Have the 911 calls been released? Also, does anyone know if that person(s) assisted JC in any way? If you could provide links I'd be ever so grateful. TIA! (sorry such a long post)
