Agreed. I hope there was just that and a record of it, for the sake of justice for her. The no smoking gun comment always makes me think I'm wasting my time wondering about this, but did you notice the woman in red by the bins? Now, if that is SR/CM, then she was there before Jessica walks back into view from distance from the wall of the store. So Jessica's conversation in that corner may have not been with SR/CM alone, it may have continued with others, if SR/CM was waiting for pink deli shirt lady for a loosey or something. Maybe SR/CM did leave with her brand after all?

Yes. I noticed the man in a red next to the barrels a long long time ago. The "chicken" handoff was suspect by me a long long time ago. But watching the video (of the sequence of time footage during that exchange) does not imply to me that Jessica's eventual demise has anything to do with it. Jessica is nowhere around; she is off-camera at the time that the "man in red" first appears at the barrels (as I recall). Jessica reappears from the off-camera location, then stoops to the pavement, and then enters the store.

Sometime around there, the clerk in pink exits the store a second time and "hands off the chicken package" to the "man in red".

Shall I review the video?

At the time of this writing, I am 75% in the alcohol-bag. Please tell me to go away.... *oooohhhh*

Can't find the one about a photo. The reporting in this case has been awful. imo
<rsbm>

With all due respect, the gossip, rumors and social media circus have been more than awful. It's one big clustermess which has caused enormous confusion, and brought injustice to individuals who are guilty of nothing more than being related to, or acquainted with, Jessica and/or her family.

I agree. :( Never seen it this bad in other cases I have followed.

ETA I don't mean here. I mean on twitter and the rumors coming from facebook, etc.

Someone mentioned the possibility, one which I have not even thought of until now, that she may have been unconscious when she arrived at the location on Herron Rd.

Now that's something worth deep consideration.

Ok absentia, I'll give you that about the ear flap guy not on a cellphone.

BUT-----who puts a cig out by bending down? All you do is drop it & step on it. Did JC put the cig out on the ground & bent down to pick up whatever was left of it to smoke it later (shudder)????

Moo

she saved it and put it in her pocket. saves money

I remember AA being asked if LE showed him a photo. But it was never explained who or what was in the photo. sigh.

There are a bunch of come-on headlines in the WMC website that don't appear to have any substance to them. Sigh.

Stuff like this tweet drives me nuts. ugh. He says it was off the record. Why even say a thing or tweet if it is off the record? :gaah:

I seem to recall that she was in her car for 54 seconds. That's actually a long time, and could conform to a telephone conversation.

there are times...(confession here)...that I pull up to the gas station and realize too late that there is someone there who I just don't want to talk to. Not that I'm afraid of them or anything like that, I just don't want to get sucked into a long winded conversation about their latest gallbladder attack or gossip about my ex inlaws.

So I pretend I'm cleaning my car, or on the phone or reading my mail until that person gets in their car and goes.

YOu all should know that the intensity with which you want to avoid someone is DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL to how long that idiot will hang around the gas station waiting for you to get out of your car so they can come and talk to you. It's A$$STOUNDING.

Juvenile records are sealed in Mississippi.

On another note, I think "Karen" sounds like "Eric" or "Derrick."

I don't. Not at all. Not even close. Cryptic I think. JMO

So why not gas up in Batesville especially if you work there?

I certainly wish I had the answers to all of this. I just don't.

I'm certain that if she had any glimpse of what her future held that night, she would have made alternative plans.

I thought you were speaking of a pattern of behavior not just that night.

I wonder if some of it could be grounds for libel. Seriously.

I doubt she chose to be on Herron Road, that she went there cognizant even, perhaps she may have been knocked outed prior to that. If she had something up to go there or there had been a party, the phone records would have helped pin point circumstances that would take her there. To me the party rumor is just that, people trying to make sense of why she would be there, then rumor becoming like fact, which may be why LE doesn't confirm it, apart from all the official hush required, wild guessing.

Without facts being released all we can do is try to connect the dots. You could be right. Maybe she was knocked out and that is why the seat was reclined. She may have been dumped there. It is certainly a secluded place. Evidently some people are saying she was at a party and police are talking to them.

Police have also been talking to "many, many people," including those who say they were at a party with Chambers, and Champion confirms Chambers herself spoke to one of the firefighters who found her, though he didn't reveal what she said. He simply tells CNN, "It has certainly given us a lead we're following up on."

I found this and have no idea if it is legit but it quotes CNN: http://www.newser.com/story/199889/phone-may-be-key-to-case-of-teen-burned-alive.html

Now that's some great insight. What if her plans weren't to go to the party at all. Maybe she was asked at some point to drop someone off or pick someone up from the party and bring them somewhere else. In fact, you may have nailed it right on the head.

She clearly wasn't dressed like a girl who planned to attend a party.

Some of it has been muck-raking at its worst. Have they no compassion for the incredible nightmare this family is still going through? I just don't get it.
