Lol, of course it was because that is what makes the least sense with how the car was positioned :/

photo of JC's car on wrecker
Just wondering if you believe more than one accelerant was involved? Arson/fires are not my area of expertise. And I know nothing about what happens to people or cars during a fire. I leave these technical questions to those of you with the knowledge
Oh, and do you think it is possible she could have been knocked out in the car, doused and lit and then maybe stumbled out of the car after coming to?
Was there ever confirmation that the car-- when found by first responders --- was found with the rear of car near the tree OR
was the front of the car near the tree?
for 2 hours Ive found nothing:gaah:
i posted a pic of the car on the rollback on the previous page.
What I see is opposite of what you're saying.
the car's front end is facing the cab of the wrecker.

If you look at this picture (a little broader aspect), notice the orientation and location of both the toolbox and the visible lettering

Then look at this image of a very similar if not identical rollback.

The Jeer Dan lettering is at the front edge of the rollback, the tool box as well. The trailing edge of the toolbox is present near the rear end of Jessica's vehicle.
O, SOOOOOOOOOO im BACKWARDS.:thinking::laughing:
aha, thank you.The front of the car had to be facing the tree. It makes no sense to back the car in. Pictures at another site show that the tree was heavily burnt up to about 12' on the side the car was near it. Front end damage does not indicate the car actually hit the tree, only being very close to it. The front of Jessica's car also appears to have extensive discoloration on the hood from burn damage, while the rear trunk portion does not.
I like your thoughts...
I wish someone would explain why Haley got the call on his personal cell.
Why didn't the caller call 911?
Who thinks --- hey, Ill call the fire chief on his cell and not 911 to report a fire?
i know it's likely LE confidential info but I wonder if the chief's phone records were examined for info regarding the person who reported the fire? WHO REPORTED THE FIRE>
Does anyone know where the party was that Jessica was supposed to have been at that night?
I'm new here and this is only my 2nd or 3rd post so bear with me if this is a big "duh" post.
The caller possibly knows the fire chief and wanted to remain anonymous. While working as a reporter at a small town newspaper in Mississippi I had a rapport with the sheriff, deputies, fire chief, etc. I mentioned to the fire chief shady neighbors that stunk up my neighborhood burning furniture among other things-which is illegal in the city limits. I didn't report it because I didn't want trouble with them. He gave me his cell phone number, assured me I would remain anonymous. They don't burn their trash anymore.
My town is small but much bigger than Courtland, which in IMO, makes it even more likely someone would feel comfortable calling a fire chief rather than a fire department.
We don't because it has not been verified anywhere else except the rumor mills. The rumors are interesting, however.Does anyone know where the party was that Jessica was supposed to have been at that night?
A lot of conjecture, mostly gleaned from SM, but there has been no confirmation of a party location in MSM that I remember.
Charlotte Wilkerson talked to Jessica on her Cell phone that night.
Charlotte is the only one who claims Jessica was at a party and said that what happened to her occurred after she left.
One of the people of interest, Eric Bibbs, lives within easy walking distance of the crime scene. Coincidence?
Remember...Jessica was supposed to have whispered a name that sounded like Eric, or Derrick.

oh yes, I remember.I initially brought up volunteer fire chief CH as the person who has lots of key info & someone who I'm highly suspicious of----and got my head chewed off!!!
Anyway.......let's hope that **everyone** will be investigated & no stone left unturned.
As I've asked recently: who is comfortable around fire, iykwim???
