Can anyone tell me if family has been ruled out? I read on the J4J page that they're not updating the family on the investigation. Would they update them, even if they have suspicion a family member was involved? Would there be any significant financial gain from Jessicas death, an insurance policy maybe?

One can never say never, but I think the family is being left out because of Ben's penchant for giving interviews. I think LE was unhappy with all of the info that got out at the beginning. And let's face it, some of that info didn't make them look good. So, IMO, I think famiky is being left out so LE doesn't have a repeat. Lol

Yep Yep Yep, that is my take too. Mr. Chambers divulged a lot of stuff during initial interviews. Some may be facts learned from investigators and some I think were rumors or info he gained from that allegedly quiet enough to hear a pin drop "street".

All that did was create a nightmare for investigators IMO and so now, they are probably very careful about what they share.

The more I think about the info that came out at first, the more I really do believe accelerant was poured down her throat. In later interviews, we had Champion saying they couldn't confirm that, but an experienced ER doc could come to that conclusion imo. And we had that info coming to us from two unrelated sources--Ben and AA. I think the only reason it hasn't/won't be confirmed for awhile is that they don't want us to have any info. Most of the info we have is from Ben and AA. Very few details have come out-save for Cole Haley's statement about what JC said. I'm kind of leaning towards the accelerant down the throat as being true.

That's how she strikes me as well. I had a co-worker like that. A girl she knew died in an accident. She acted like the girl was her best friend, but she didn't even know her last name.

that's what I thought at first, but have been looking at her more closely the past week.

I agree. The one thing that stands out about LF to me, though, is that she was near where JC was found around the time it was occurring, by her own admission. And then she was back the next day. Doesn't necessarily mean anything, for sure. Just maybe worth a second look :)

also looking at who she is associated with, and who her family members are leads to some suspicion. if I can say that much.

True about some things being weird and also some people liking to be in the center of things. Another thought is that she was driving around that night on "auto pilot," i.e., thinking about something or listening to music, etc. Hopefully she's also been carefully questioned about anything weird she might have potentially seen ... and about the particulars of her story.

I hope she has been questioned. no way of knowing.

It's probably that I may be out of touch with reality, but I've never seen a DA being interviewed so many times not wearing a suit or dressed so casually like he does. I understand it when it's impromptu, but when it's a planned, sit-down interview it just strikes me as unprofessional and it doesn't inspire much confidence in him. I know I'm nitpicking, but it does matter how you portray yourself when you're speaking about such an incredibly heinous murder and promising people you're doing everything you can. He just seems so casual. :/

My opinion it is.

Any other surveillance tapes released from the service station? Other angles for instance?

I would like to know if other possible cameras showed another vehicle leave the MM after Jessica left.

Maybe things are simply just done differently in a town that small. idk

Country lawyer dressed for 2014. Looking better than he would in a suit and bowtie!

Is it possible that this is because it is hard to wear "color" when wearing a suit? (Loyalty, fam) lol

Yes, I can go with this explanation also.

He added that many on social media don’t realize the scale of what’s being done to find Jessica’s killer(s). Bryant said it would be an unimaginable conspiracy for federal, state and local investigators to decide, for some reason, not to exhaust all their efforts to solve the case. “Law enforcement officers are designed by nature to solve crimes. That’s what they do every day. They put their lives on the line to make sure they accomplish that task. So I have every confidence in the world that they (Panola County authorities and other investigators) are doing their job.” - See more at: http://www.newsms.fm/mississippi-go...ssicas-justice/#sthash.V2U8TbCC.FKm9hAAi.dpuf

Things are done in a more casual way in a small town and if people saw him trying to act like something he isn't by dressing up, they wouldn't trust him and they are the ones who elected him. ;)

I've been getting an education lately, reading offsite about gangs. Did anyone else read sources that said gangs in small rural towns aren't big fish, usually pay 70% of their "take" upriver so they're bottom feeders not kingpins. But, BUT, they have become very important for their ability to store/warehouse BIG dollar items in quantity, like guns and certain drugs. And they will often temporarily "shelter" a big city member who is under too much heat.

Anyone know of anyone in the Batesville area seeking to move their "business", "office", or "operations" elsewhere? More traffic than normal in and out of rural gated property with buildings out of view? Cargo trucks? Uhauls?

Or just hidden in plain slight. Check out Google Street view side and rear:
