The more that comes out in this case, the hinkier it gets.

I understand the importance of the picture but it's just so sad that it's out on the web forever. Regardless of what happened. Poor lady.

Well take comfort in that without the pic, there would be less interest in determining if someone is responsible...

I totally believe this was a suicide death by asphyxiation. This beautiful young lady had a troubled past, due to no fault of her own. She was a victim of circumstance in her relationship with her mother and her ex - boyfriend and, consequently, drugs. Her system was full of meth and Xanax at TOD. The toxicity is enough to understand she was not behaving well.

JJ could not seem to get enough of the feeling of freedom from pain by using drugs. Self-medicate with drug of choice. She was extremely attractive and could have been someone awesome, if given the opportunity denied.

Robin Williams, RIP, was in a near sitting position when he was found after using a black fabric belt to hang himself from the closet door. While in prison, Aaron Hernandez poured soap on the floor, before he hung himself naked in a near sitting position, so his feet would slide on the slippery surface and he wouldn't be able to save himself.

These people are in excruciating pain when they decide to end their life. JJ threatened to do exactly what she finally did. JJ ingested enough drugs to aid her decision and subsequent actions. RW also cut himself first. Lots of people are cutters but most family and friends are not familiar with the signs and symptoms of cutting. I haven't given much thought to her wounded arms yet but perhaps she was a cutter, too.

Desoto Co and Panola Co, MS are wrestling from crimes, gangs, MS-13, illegals, gun running and drug infestations. That area has experienced its share of trauma and loss due to murders, suicides and drugs.

JJ left her home for personal reasons that also kept her from returning. Her mind was in turmoil due to those in her life who were not healthy for her sustenance. The confusing messages received in her relationships created constant chaos for her. She ran to seek shelter to the wrong crowd because she was accustomed to being mistreated and abused by others.

Who will raise her two children? I wish their mother could have seen her beauty and value. They deserve the very best life has to offer and I fear they shall not receive it.

Yep....but there is one thing that bothers me. Robin Williams and Aaron Hernandez were in mostly private places. She was in a highly public place. I find it inconsistent....

With the amount of drugs found in her system I can actually visualize that perhaps she only half intended to commit suicide. Once she was set up it may well be she nodded out, or just pulled enough to black out. Her hand actually looks like it was in her open bag. I'm going with early intent or attention seeking then drug induced passing out and choking. I really can't see a set up like that. A mailbox? Nope. She had lots of drugs in her system.

I just can't picture a peaceful hanging where her body wouldn't involuntary react to the loss of oxygen. Idk. This one has confused.

How long was she missing before she was found? I wonder how long the autopsy says she was dead for...

Well, I understand the openness of the scene but it clearly is not congested area. In fact, it is a fairly remote portion of the Horn Lake area.

This lovely lady, JJ, really was without her own place.

The hanging took place around 6PM Thursday and she was discovered by the mailman the next morning around 9AM. Meth users do not think the same way they would without the illegal substance.

, I also could stand by your theory of a dramatic event that ended in reality. He told her not to bring that drama to his door and then he closed the door on her. This is incredibly sad. I just cannot imagine functioning on that level of intoxication but I've never had meth so I don't really know what feelings to expect :/

I could be so wrong about what happened. It's just a hunch, and reading the info available, that I came to the conclusion that she was not murdered.

[Includes image of her dark sneakers without the laces were found inside the house.]

"One of my roommates and ------ both told me she was out in the drive way and pulled the shoe strings out of her shoes and was threatening it," he said. "And he basically kind of just shrugged it off and told her, 'Get out of here with that. I don't want to hear it,' and he shut the door on her."

He said later that night, Jessica sent the homeowner a text.

"I got the text message from her, talking about she just didn't want to feel the pain anymore or anything," he said.

That was the last time he heard from her.

I can't see how this is considered suicide.

ONE thing strikes me as strange is that as a woman, with long hair, I could not imagine having the shoelaces over the hair instead of pulling the hair throughout to where the shoelaces sit directly against the neck.

This whole setup screams staged.

Totally agree. It's as absurd as wearing a necklace over your hair.
It's instinctual to pull your hair through (male or female, with long hair it's instinct.)

DeSoto County, MS doesn't have a high murder rate. The gangs aren't MS13, and the suicide rate isn't high. However, accidental overdoses from heroin is the highest in Mississippi, mainly because it's so close to Memphis.
In the news interview, the home owner contradicted himself on several occasions. Also, he said himself that he was leaning more towards a suicide than anything else. Why is he in doubt? Lastly, if she committed suicide at about 6pm, how did she text her son at 3:29am?

The only way I can see this being solely her doing is if it was attention seeking that culminated in an accidently hanging.
If she only intended to look like she was hanging but she was so intoxicated that she passed out.
Or actually died from a drug overdose in the process. Though both of those would really take a perfect storm of events...

I actually think this is exactly what happened.

Family members stated that post-mortem photo taken of Johnson*shows a footprint on her arm*in addition to other marks on her wrists and arms.

Dr. Maurice Godwin, a criminal investigative psychologist, told*HuffPost*that it was highly unlikely that someone could commit suicide with a shoestring and a 38-inch mailbox post.

“In this examiner’s opinion, Jessica died at another location and was then positioned at the post with the string and [the] scene [was] staged as a hanging.”

:fence:

Guess who is found sitting on the fence after being totally convinced the manner of death was suicide. When I saw this image that seems to depict a post mortem shoe print on JJs arm, it gave me pause to reflect. At first sight, I assumed it was scratchings of a name, with the last letter being a letter T but the article states the family believes it is a shoeprint.
