The only way I can see this being solely her doing is if it was attention seeking that culminated in an accidently hanging.
If she only intended to look like she was hanging but she was so intoxicated that she passed out.
Or actually died from a drug overdose in the process. Though both of those would really take a perfect storm of events...

Did you see her arms?

@ DeDee
Some people are saying its a post-mortem indention
from the mailbox's wooden post.

@Normancita
It's briefly shown on the news link. Jessy had meth and xanax in her system.

Any comments from LE about why there are bruises and sores on her arm?

In the picture of crime scene her purse is actually Away from her hand.. seems like maybe there's a second purse or something she's clutching to! I think she overdosed and everyone at the house panicked! Boyfriend left because he knew the family would blame him! My aunt died in a similar manner 18 years ago and me and my WHOLE family blamed the boyfriend because you feel a need to blame someone else because you can't blame the deceased! Accident OD.... a girl from my town died last year in the woods while with her boyfriend...she overdosed on heroin..her death was and is considered a suicide by the police and people around town!

No comment from LE at all regarding either. They're classifying it strictly as a suicide and they've shown no interest in investigating anything otherwise

"I wouldn't let anything happen to her," he said. "You know, anybody do anything to her, you know, if I could, you know,*help it."

Jessica's body was found on a Friday, but she and her "off and on" boyfriend showed up to this man's house on Wednesday.*

"From the time that they showed up Wednesday to Thursday, she seemed out of her, you know, normal self," he said. "That's the first time I've seen them in a few months*together, and she just, I don't know, she was just really, I think, love sick. She was more dramatic than I'd ever seen her."

The night before Jessica was found dead, the homeowner said there were several people at his house. At some point, Jessica got into a fight with her boyfriend.

"One of my roommates and ------ both told me she was out in the drive way and pulled the shoe strings out of her shoes and was threatening it," he said. "And he basically kind of just shrugged it off and told her, 'Get out of here with that. I don't want to hear it,'*and he shut the door on her."

He said later that night, Jessica sent the homeowner a text.

"I got the text message from her, talking about she just didn't want to feel the pain anymore or anything," he said.*

That was the last time he heard from her.

When asked if he thinks Jessica committed suicide, he responded, "At first I didn't, but now, I'm kind of leaning that way, yeah."

He continued, "It's hard to believe that she sat out there from you know, 6 p.m. on Thursday until 9:30, 10:30 Friday morning without anybody seeing her, you know? She just appeared out of nowhere it feels like. Because, I mean, you had people riding up and down the street all morning."

So she and bf showed up on Wed, evening, noon, morning?

She started acting weird the whole time? or that started Thursday?

Then we have
One of my roommates and ------ both told me she was out in the drive way and pulled the shoe strings out of her shoes and was threatening it," he said. "And he basically kind of just shrugged it off and told her, 'Get out of here with that. I don't want to hear it,'*and he shut the door on her."
Who did he shut the door on? Jessica? the roommate? Way that reads is that the TWO roommates supposedly saw Jessica doing this?

So obviously, to me, MOO, they were partying!
The night before Jessica was found dead, the homeowner said there were several people at his house.

When was 'later that night?
He said later that night, Jessica sent the homeowner a text.
Was she still out by the mailbox with her shoelaces?

So 6 p.m.is later? Is it dark there at 6pm? This house full of people KNEW she was 'supposedly' out there 'threatening' suicide with her shoelaces? No one went to check on her or call 911 or anything?

WARNING--This part is graphic....

Unblurring the picture, her head is up and against the post, her mouth is pulled up on the left only. No protrusion that I would think would go with asphyxia or hanging. No bitten lip, no blood where she might have bit her tongue.
Lastly, the shoelace does not appear to be bitten into her skin, there does not appear to be deep bruising Again MOO.

And her purse is upright, intact and close to her body. More like it was placed versus her setting it down.

If her arm was leaning on that post that hard to make a mark, the mark would be wider, deeper and quite possibly go down towards her fingertips. So I can totally see how it looks like a shoe print.

It is stated someplace, it is known she had a drug addiction, what exactly is her addiction? Just the Xanax? Heroin? Meth?

I'm leaning towards she or someone else was injecting her with Meth, hence to load in her system. Does one inject themselves like that on their hand?
She did not have heroin in her system.

Do we know what drug addiction the bf has? if he has one? Which to me, he does. MOO

I wonder if said 'man' is a dealer, many here, go to the 'dealer's' place, buy and share! or the dealer goes to a designated house, he sells and is invited to 'party'.

ETA: Would her body still be in that position 6pm to say 9:30am, so 15 or so hours?

ALL my two cents and own opinion.

Any updates? Looks like several of the links on this thread are already "404." It's hard to find anything new on the innerwebs about this case.

That's really sad they're already like that. There was some good info in those articles. I haven't found anything new. I wish we had a VI.

Has anyone watched the "Crime watch daily" episode about this? I just watched it and I don"t believe it was a suicide. I would like to know your thoughts on this episode/case.

yes! I think he's a weird one. Did you hear him say that he didn't believe it was a suicide either?

Took a needed break in between videos.

What are the holes on her hands caused from? That is an oddity. Perhaps the cause will be revealed in the last few videos.

Jessica's is not the only mysterious death centered around Horn Lake. There are several others.

I attended couple of days in a trial regarding the death of a small child, a young girl. Her young brother, father and her brother's friend, who was currently living with the family, went out on the Lake.

Their boat stalled. Horn Lake is very large and the waters were choppy. The father placed his children in life jackets. He left the boat to swim to shore for help.

When he returned, his daughter was missing. His friend was found clinging onto the little girl's life jacket. It was a disturbing murder. The trial had to be moved from Desoto County to another County. He was convicted and sentenced by a jury of her peers.
