Don't they go from animal to humans? Maybe this one can be put down before that happens.

Yes Jeana, they do. Our county is part of a study on the link of animal abuse to child abuse. And there is a HUGE connection. Our Director is getting some stats for me so I can post them here for all to see. Sick that did this doesn't deserve to live.:furious: My dogs are not just pets, they are members of the family. My 100 pound lab sleeps in our bed with us most nights and our weenie dog sleeps in our daughter's bed. They get kisses and hugs and snuggles all of the time. It's just beyond me how anybody could harm animals...or children for that matter.

Sadly, much like the the baby killers and abusers we read about on websleuths, it takes awareness to hopefully someday putting an end to these kinds of crimes!

I'm sad too when I read this stuff- makes me sooo sick inside!

Peter, thank you very much for the kind words. I must respectfully disagree and deny your request though. We know from the past, that these criminals who do this sort of thing go on to humans. I think just not wanting to know that these sort of things exist is a little like sticking one's head in the sand and hoping it will all just go away. That's unfortunately not the case. I can only offer that the subject of each thread is usually pretty telling of what you'll find if you read that thread. If its something on a crime forum that you'd rather not read, my advice would be to just not click on that particular thread. Believe it or not, there are even a few here that I won't venture into. Hope this makes some sense and that you'll understand at least even if you cannot agree with it.

Oh my god, this is so horrible!
I hope the puppy didn't experience too much pain before it was brutally murdered. Poor thing.
What a sick, sick girl! I just want to slam her to the sidewalk and see how she likes it.

I want to cry. I can't believe people are so damned mean.

Please dont stop posting these. If more and more people read these stroies then they will start teaching morals again. I am not saying every parent is to blame, but if WE teach our children from young ages not to hurt animals maybe they wont. But when children grow up watching mommy and daddy be cruel to pets we do the same. I also dont understand why there are not tougher punishment for the people who commit these crimes.:banghead: If they got more than a slap on the wrist maybe they would stop and think. JMO. I hate reading these but I do and I make it an effort to pass it on to people.

Here's a case that's local to me in the Los Angeles area. A man stabbed his niece's dog between the eyes! The dog, thankfully, survived! More good news, the judge sentenced this to 9 years! I'd like to see him spend the rest of his worthless years behind bars, but this is a step in the right direction.
