GUILTY MS - Linda Reed for embezzlement, Copiah County, 2012

There is a contradiction in that one report stated that her cell phone and reading glasses were found inside the vehicle, while in the AMW report these items along with a blanket were found "a short distance from the vehicle."

IMO she probably wasn't in the car when it was parked in that remote area. I can only think it was staged a bit to look like she was there and then the person who drove the car there must have walked back.

Yes, another possibility.

I wonder where Mrs. Reed kept her bookkeeping records? If she came across some type of questionable, i.e., criminal activity concerning one of her clients, it doesn't seem that it would do them any good to disappear her unless they got rid of the information she had on them as well. Wonder if the IRS is going to get involved.

Maybe by having the dog sniff driver and passenger seats? to get the scent to follow...

If you look at those videos, I just don't think that scene was secured until later after they decided it was a crime scene.

And according to the AMW article, her cell phone and reading glasses were found outside the vehicle on the ground with a blanket. Was she sitting on a blanket while waiting on someone there while talking to someone on her cell phone? Of course phone records would show that. And since there's no evidence of any other vehicle being there, as in tire tracks, etc., how did she disappear? The dogs lost her scent so it wasn't by foot away from that area.... omg, I'm not sure if this case makes me more confused or more crazy, I think both. :pullhair:

The blanket info threw me off at first as by reading it it sounded like she may have found a cozy spot and was reading text messages or something. In the video though you can see the crime scene tape and what looks like a blue blanket as well as a couple of yellow markers where some evidence was (possibly the phone and reading glasses). It is surely not somewhere one would spread a blanket and stretch out to watch the stars or read messages in the dark of the night. I can't see a 65 year old lady doing that but that is JMO. From the satellite view on google maps, there are houses nearby. IMO it was staged or they ditched her vehicle there because it was within walking distance to their home/vehicle.

How many employees heard her say to leave the gate unlocked I wonder? That could have been thrown out there so they wouldn't look at people that had keys. I am sure they are looking at all these things.

I am impressed with LE and her family keeping her in the news, getting TES involved, looking at videos, bringing in dogs, etc. I hope they keep it up until they get the answers they deserve.

I'd like to know what time that farmer saw the white truck backed up to her trailer. I am so hopeful they will solve this.

So since she does bookkeeping for other businesses, I assume that means authorities will be investigating all of her customers and their records. I wonder how long that list is.

i think that if she uncovered anything illegal or otherwise, that would not necessarily mean that every company that she worked for would be in the same position, but that is JMO..

That is something that seems strange to me, if she was waiting for someone why sit outside on a blanket?, could those items have ended up outside after a struggle, dragged out along with the lady?.

Reading glasses and phone on top of a blanket in the car. Pull the blanket out and it all ends up on the ground.

Man, I wish work would allow me to go help search. My thoughts and prayers are with all searchers out there. It's a hot day and I hope they are careful. I also pray they accomplish their task and bring Mrs. Reed home.

Hmm, just going to throw this out there....what if AM encountered Linda and needed her help with the 2 Bain girls? Would he head that way en route to FL? Didn't want her cell tracked or car spotted....
