DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. —
A man is charged with murder after police say he performed illegal implant surgery on a woman who died as a result.
Morris Garner is charged with depraved-heart murder. Investigators said Garner posed as a doctor and used fake silicone.

In his court appearance on Wednesday, Garner dressed as a woman and said he goes by the name Tracey Lynn Garner. He was denied bond.

Opening arguments are scheduled Tuesday in the trial of a woman charged giving unlicensed buttocks injections that prosecutors say killed two women.

Attorneys Tuesday morning completed choosing jurors in Hinds County Circuit Court, where Tracey Lynn Garner faces charges of depraved heart murder in the 2012 death of Karima Gordon of Atlanta and 2010 death of Marilyn Hale of Selma, Alabama...

Natasha Stewart was convicted in January of manslaughter for referring Gordon to Garner. Stewart was sentenced to seven years in prison.

A Jackson, Mississippi, woman was convicted of murder Friday for illegally injecting a woman’s buttocks with silicone injections, which prosecutors say led to the victim's death. The jury ruled Tracey Lynn Garner responsible for the 2012 death of Karima Gordon, 37.

The AP reports Garner 54, was found guilty of "depraved-heart murder" and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. She is facing in a maximum of life in prison...

Her sentencing will take place Tuesday. A date for Garner's sentencing in another case, the 2010 death of Marilyn Hale, has yet to be announced.
