JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — A truck driver who was suspected in the 2009 death of his girlfriend, but only served time for burning her corpse, has been charged with raping his ex-wife.

Mark Andrew Rice went to his ex-wife's house in the neighborhood of Bayside Park on Saturday, where he severely beat her, taped her mouth shut, tied her hands and sexually assaulted her, said Glenn Grannan, chief investigator for the Hancock County Sheriff's Department.........more......

What a very dangerous guy! I can't believe he was let out of prison so soon, when it's obvious that he was responsible for the death of his girlfriend. Only six years for burning her corpse?! And he didn't even serve that.

Hopefully, he's put away for life this time for what he did to his ex. He's too scary to be walking around in society, IMO.

A Mississippi man will spend the next 25 years in prison for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a Hancock County woman.

Mark Andrew Rice, 53, was sentenced by Circuit Judge Chris Schmidt after he pleaded guilty to the charges stemming from an investigation that began in September 2013.
