So, if she was abducted and they believe she is alive....why are they calling off the search? Wouldn't determining she was abducted and is alive make them search more? I know they need tips to search, but the announcement of abduction = calling off search, makes no sense to me. None.

Well they've found no proof of a crime there I guess, and this is the only other option. With no where to look and not one viable tip, this was bound to happen. This poor child!!

"Several law enforcement agencies were involved in the search for the 2-year-old, including the FBI, the Madison County Sheriff's Department as well as the Camden Volunteer Fire Department."

So, they are no longer involved? Why? Sorry to keep posting, but this is baffling me and making me very upset. She is still missing. I don't understand the reason why they are announcing the search called off for a two year old they have declared abducted. I know there clearly IS more to this.

Maybe they are referring to a ground search of the Camden area being called off? I don't know unless that's it.

I am now even more confused because this article and news piece from the same station, from the same day...doesn't mention anything about abduction and mentions nothing about it being called off. In fact, it says they work on it daily!

Did LE provide an update on the polygraph results? They have only said no comment from what I have read.

They have not as far as I know. However, the fact that this is now classified as an abduction tells me that polygraph results apparently lead them to believe this.

Nor I hockeymom4. I take it to mean that the ground search around her home has been called off but they will still be searching for her in other ways.

Confusing alright! And if they believe her to be abducted, then by whom? A stranger? Someone connected to the family? Wonder just what the heck they think????

Totally agree. I sent a message to WJTV to see if they can clarify, because IMO, the two articles don't send the same message.

If I get a response I will let you all know.

Thanks hockeymom.

No news is wearing on me. So sad for that little one.

I don't think that classifying this case as an abduction rules anyone out. Just that they believe she was taken out of the area, Imo, and that continued searches on the ground locally are unlikely to produce results. As far as I know, family members can abduct other family members. Jmo

Two year olds do not disappear ! I don't understand this. Is anyone else beginning to think of some unbelievable accident theory ? Dingo in the outback kind of thing. I just don't understand. :(

Do you mean an accident unknown to the family or known but concealed? I've thought about all of these so much til I'm just all out of ideas.

I don't know which I mean. :(
I would think at this point if LE had any 'goods' on any familial involvement, it would be out by now, right?
I just keep thinking about the case last year where the little boy climbed into a trunk playing. :( Do you remember that ? Dad was a mechanic maybe and had lots of cars in the driveway , but they looked all over first , then at the cars and he had died in the locked trunk. I know shes' not in a car trunk but I'm thinking of some kind of accidental wild thing that just did not end well and no one knows :(

I live in Ms but have been away from home helping my mother for 3 weeks. On my trip home yesterday I stopped to refuel in Oxford,Ms. As I turned the pump on a video of Myra with her amber alert began playing. She has not been forgotten.

Goodnight sweet baby girl..
Sweet dreams..

Angel of God, my Guardian dear,
To whom God’s love commits me here;
Ever this day, be at my side
To light and guard
To rule and guide.
