Since her purse was found in her vehicle, I am curious to know if she was carrying it when she was seen on the 8th with Mr. Poisso. Have they released any surveillance video yet?
So the family confirms the phone is hers and they also found a piece of clothing? Grateful for the volunteer searches. I think a profession search team could be of help. Or did I miss something....
The link above referencing the phone and piece of clothing being found is the first time, unless someone can show otherwise, this information has been released to the public. Even though it was mentioned LE nor the family have confirmed this information publicly. So, take the information for what it's worth.
It does however, lead to a LOT of other questions though; ie who were her last calls or texts made to?, did the phone's gps provide any further details about her travels that day?, what article of clothing was found?, what was the condition of her car when it was found?, was a forensic search completed of her vehicle?, etc.
Sadly, there are so many unanswered questions.

from the link: Roughly 30 volunteers showed up. Many with horses and ATV's were used to search the area where the Roughly 30 volunteers showed up. Many with horses and ATV's were used to search the area where the family says Rebecca’s cellphone and a piece of her clothing were found.

During our interview this afternoon, the Hendersons received a phone call from a Lauderdale County investigator saying a cell phone had been found in a field just south of where the car was abandoned.
Rebecca’s phone has not been active since last Tuesday.
It has not been confirmed whether the phone found does belong to the Rebecca.
The quotes are from two different time frames the most recent quoting the family. No MSM reports that the authorities have confirmed the phone belongs to Rebecca.
I found the report encouraging.
Here is the timeline as I see it, correct me if i am wrong. Rebecca left her parents home at around 7pm on September 7th to travel from Demopolis, AL to Meridian Ms. and was last seen at a business with the suspect and maybe others(girlfriend) on Tuesday September 8th; then finding her car on the evening of September 9th.
Suppose she was en-route to her home in Linden, Al taking a "short cut" via backroad getting lost; and ending up in a ditch.
I find it encouraging it 30 people showed up to search for Rebecca, private citizens, including Natalie Holloway's father. I find it encouraging that people showed up with horses and ATVs. I find it encouraging they were able to search in three groups one up north which I hope is where Rebecca was last seen although I cannot say that.X c
What do you find encouraging?
Do we know who found her vehicle in the ditch?
This came after a passer-by reported seeing an abandoned vehicle to the sheriff’s office in Lauderdale County.Do we know who found her vehicle in the ditch?
We dont have a lot to go on. We processed her vehicle on Tuesday (Sept. 8) and so far we found no signs of foul play, but we still havent been able to locate her, said LCSO Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun.
It has not been confirmed whether the phone found does belong to the Rebecca.
being found on Wednesday doesn't necessarily mean being left there on Wednesday. Maybe it had been there since Tuesday. And what if 'she' wasn't the one driving that vehicle. Her last cell activity stopped on Tuesday, the day before her car was found. Something tells me she didn't put her car where it was located.
