Identified! MS - Starkville, Male skeletal remains, Feb'12 - Jamshed Aryana

... found Tuesday about a quarter-mile from Reed Road in the sparsely populated Adaton community.

Sheriff's Cmdr. Brett Watson told The Dispatch Wednesday the remains appeared to have been there for "several years." Deputies aren't sure whether the remains were that of a man or woman, but clothing recovered from the scene helped determine a likely age range.

Stewart is 33 miles from Adaton (by the highway), Kilmichael is another seven miles from there. It's a long way to walk.

Wonder if he was known to have hitchhiked. Someone should know where they dropped him off.

More bones were found today along Reed Rd.

As for the identity of the person, Hunt says they have an idea who it may be.

He says they will conduct DNA testing to be sure.
