Oh no, this scenario doesn't sound good at all.

In this article his sons plea for help and also add this about the other person traveling with their Dad (BBM):

"Jones disappeared on Oct. 25, the day his family says he left his home with another man heading to a casino in Mississippi. The man, according to his sons, is someone Jones barely knew — someone he’s only recently met during visits to the Birmingham Race Course Casino and a casino in Mississippi".

Dec 23, 2021 article. Vehicle found, plus, link includes video. Hopefully they’re on track to find Mr. Jones in good health.

[…]

Agee said more than one individual is likely involved, “We think there may be a couple of people involved in the disappearance of Mr. Jones. Some things that happened clearly could not have been done by one person, so we need to identify everyone involved.”

"Agee wants anyone who may have information about the individuals who may be involved"

Like WHO, for instance ... has it occurred to Agee (LE) that having at least the known participants name would be helpful to those who may be able to help -- if they only knew that they knew ?!?

LE should fill in some blanks if they want the public to help: did they ever make it to the casino (with cameras all over the place); what was the planned schedule (details: times and locations); this story is too vague.

The Birmingham Race Course casino is not a nice place, and is in a bad area. It was built to showcase Thoroughbred racing and casino gambling but Alabama shut those events down. Now it simulcasts races and has some "bingo" slot machines.

Jan 18, 2022 article: I’m glad the family is keeping their dad’s case in the spotlight. There are so many missing people. Authorities certainly have lots of different duties they are expected to perform.

Longtime Homewood resident missing since late October

Noah Jones said his family feels the sheriff’s office is not examining evidence they turn over and not working as hard as they should to find answers about his father’s disappearance. Agee said detectives work hard on every case and they follow up on every tip and piece of information they are given.

There is evidence in the case being processed at the state crime lab, Agee said, and there are “people of interest.” Charges will be filed based on evidence.

[…]

They’re also afraid that if foul play was part of his disappearance that those involved might be able to cause harm to the rest of the family, he said.

In Rosedale, where Jones grew up and lived in the same home for decades, Noah Jones said there are people that might have information but are not talking.
