I adore, admire, and respect Mark Lunsford. But let's be fair in making comparisons.
First, it is not "years AFTER his baby was murdered." Jessica was murdered only 14 short MONTHS ago, an incredibly raw, short time in comparison to nearly a decade.
Second, personalities are different. Mark Lunsford is all raw emotion on his heartsleeve, the same way we saw with Ed Smart. (In the Smart family, you'll notice that Lois was the more "stoic" one, while Ed was sobbing all the time.)
Third, and this is important, Mark Lunsford and his father were thrown under the "umbrella of suspicion" for only a very, very brief time period, the same usual time period all family members are put there. I'm not going to get into a long dissertation on the "whys" of how it is the Ramseys have never quite been able to escape from the umbrella of suspicion, because I'm certain my take on it would be in some ways distinctly different from many on this forum. But suffice it say, JR and PR spent nearly a decade from nearly day 1 in defense mode, simultaneously trying to mourn their daughter while watching their images splayed out in tabloid headlines screaming everything from Burke-did-it to Patsy-did-it to John-did-it to whatever. We do not know how Mark Lunsford would act after a decade or even a year of that.
Last, I can back up the poster who said he/she saw interviews with Patsy sobbing over JBR. There's some selective memory going on here, and failing that, I'm sure there will be creative psychological interpretations.
