Billings PD Need Public's Assistance in Search for Amelia Brooks

A candle light vigil was held last night at Two Moon Park for a missing 22-year old woman who has been missing for more than two weeks, according to the Billings Police Department.

On October 15, Billings PD put out an alert on their Twitter page asking for information about Amelia R. Brooks, who was reported as "missing/suicidal" in the post.

Billings Police released more information today saying Brooks was last seen on October 13 at a home in the 800 block of Caroline Street, and she was wearing "a tan wool jacket and yoga pants."


Family and friends of Amelia Rose Brooks have been sharing pictures of her on social media, along with flyers that include the following details about her appearance:

• 5'3, 200lbs with brown, bleached hair and braces.
• Tattoo's left collar bone chest - music related.
• Semi colon tattoo on hand, and roses on hips.

Not critical - but missing poster lists DOB as 1995 and title (and article) states she is 22? I am guessing the DOB is correct...
Either way, I really hope she chooses to stay with us another day and see that it gets better.

Will you join me, friends?" They all barely have any content posted while her FB has multiple posts a day -- mostly about Save Our Children.

That's what I was thinking but every single thing regarding her being missing states she's 22 so I am thinking maybe the DOB is incorrect?

She also goes by Emma. Local ppl seem to be doing ground searches and getting the word out. It's hard to find anything she's posted online bc she has so many aliases and reverse image searching some of her recent FB profile pics didn't lead to anything

If the ex was the last to see her and the one saying she is suicidal that is hugely concerning.

If you look in the official FB page for her search, one of her family members said her greatest fear is that she may have done harm to herself due to her battle with mental health. She said Amelia had severe depression

Amelia Brooks, 22, was last seen Oct. 13 at a residence on the 800 block of Caroline Street in the early evening hours. She was wearing a tan wool jacket and yoga pants. She is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 200 pounds.

A missing and endangered person advisory was issued for Brooks on Nov. 4 and later expired.

Bilings police detectives are investigating but have no actionable leads on her whereabouts.

On the second week of her disappearance, friends and family gather in Billings for Amelia Brooks

Leonard said Brooks went missing after an altercation with her housemates. The area she disappeared is near her work at a nearby gas station. The family is still searching for more information.

“We’re still pretty much at a loss. We thought we had some stuff, but it just turned out to be, as leads happen, they were just accurate and they were not the truth. So, we’re basically at ground zero," Leonard said.

Leonard said Brooks has mental health issues with depression and people should call the police if they see her.


“If you see her, please don’t try and communicate with her. She might not be in her right mind. We don’t know the circumstances. She may not be able to communicate with you, we just don’t know. If you see her or have heard anything, please just call the police," Leonard said.
