Found Deceased MT - Andrew Hossle, 31, Missoula, 1 August 2019

The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office, are looking for Andrew Hossle, 31, of Missoula.

Hossle’s last known location was on Thursday August 1, 2019 near Triple Bridges, off the Fish Creek exit at approximately 10 p.m.

Hossle is 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. He has a red beard, auburn hair, and brown eyes. He goes by “Drew” and was last seen wearing a v-neck t-shirt, khaki shorts, and green Chaco sandals. He was also wearing a red-billed hat with blue on the front. He has two matching wrist tattoos and a large back tattoo. Hossle was driving a dark blue, 2018 Ford Fiesta.

Hossle has a history of epilepsy and is without his medication. If you have any information, please call the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office at (406) 822-3555.

His car was found parked at the Triple Bridges near Alberton at 11pm.

ETA: His coworker/friend last spoke to him:

"I was on the phone with him and he hung up at 10:01 p.m. It was not a completion of a normal call. He was talking to be about a couple of things and then just hung up on me.”

More info on the car location from his friend's statement (the same friend that was mentioned earlier):

“His car was located by Mineral County an hour later, parked at the trail to Sandy Beaches,” Idhe said. “He took the Fish Creek exit outside of Alberton, and we haven’t seen him since.”

Ihde said Hossle was an avid kayaker at one time, but he said it was doubtful that he went to the area to kayak. Ihde said he did not believe that foul play has anything to do with Hossle’s disappearance.

So Andrew hung up on his friend at 10pm and that was his last known contact. According to the article at the link, Andrew seemed dispondent.

His car was found an hour later. What happened to his phone? Was it left in the car or switched off?

Mineral, Missoula Co. officials search for missing man

"The body of a 31-year-old Missoula man reported missing on Monday has been recovered, Mineral County authorities said Tuesday.

Andrew "Drew" Hossle's body was located late afternoon on Monday by employees of a local rafting company, according to Mineral County Sheriff Mike Boone. The sheriff said Hossle was positively identified and transported to the Montana Crime Lab. The investigation into his death is ongoing, Boone said.

Boone said in the Tuesday press release that Hossle had been exhibiting suicidal behavior, according to Hossle's friend. Hossle's friend told authorities he had last heard from Hossle as he was approaching the Triple Bridges near Alberton on Thursday evening."
