GUILTY MT - Beverly, 79, Gregory Giannonatti, 57, murdered, Deer Lodge, 24 Oct 2015

  • #321
I think this guy spent some quality time with the Giannonatti 's prior to their death. They may have told him where the gold bar was, truthfully. He may not have believed them........ he didn't like their answer......or.....he may have gotten it and buried it somewhere.

IF Nelson wasn't told where the gold bar was, then ransacking their homes makes sense. If he was told where the gold bar was, then I'm assuming that their homes were ransacked after it was announced they were missing, by opportunists and thieves made up from the same fabric that Nelson is.

What's hard to fathom here is that Beverly told no one what became of that gold bar, nobody legitimate that is. The sheriff has stated repeatedly that they haven't found the gold yet. I would think that if Beverly had told someone what she did with it, they would have come forward and offered up that information to LE by now. Her banker, her accountant, her pastor, her doctor, her lawyer, her best friend..........if any of those people knew where she put the gold, wouldn't they say so ?

What could she and Greg have done with it so that not a single person would know ? More so, why ? Why not get it to the bank to either cash it in or keep it secure ? It was 9 days from the time the gold bar was found, until she was seen eating lunch with the mystery man. 9 days.

Well, she could have said something like she got it from her ex's house and "now would have to figure out what to do with it." or something else along those lines. Vague enough for whomever she told not to know exactly where it was stashed away, but clear enough that she still had it. I mean, originally the gold bar was just hanging around her exhusband's house, so maybe she was going to do the same with it. If he didn't keep it in a safe deposit box, maybe she wasn't going to either, at least not right away.

I have to wonder if this creep was posing as some sort of investor of the real estate type. Acting as if he was going to buy or sell some property and that gained her trust. She may have even told him herself about the gold bar. Who knows? If he made himself out to be someone with money, she may have even asked him if he knew about gold trading to get some advice on how to deal with the gold bar.

I'm only suggesting this since someone mentioned that it was rumored that she was seen around town with him, and that makes me wonder about the kind of conversations that would have transpired between them.

Megyn Kelly is going to do a segment about this tonight on her show on FOX News, complete with a couple of lawyers to analyze it.

The link should be available tomorrow...........on Fox News Live........right now.

In the days of the mother-son’s disappearance, confusion and speculation continued to mount as Deer Lodge residents awaited concrete news. The case is the subject of a 19-page thread on the Websleuths forum.

The month-long search for the Giannonattis, undertaken by both local law enforcement and the FBI, was rife with speculation — and even became the subject of a 21-page thread on the Websleuths forum. Rumors and armchair-sleuthing were fueled by the strange circumstances under which the mother and son disappeared.

I guess they (MSM) expand as we expand.

Fine with me.....I just hope this reporter digs deep and asks a lot of questions. This is a crime that needs to be solved and punished, if for no other reason than maintaining a civilized society. Killing an 80 year old woman and her son over imagined money ?? Not civilized. Not acceptable.

Repeat offenders make me angry. How many people do we see committing serious crimes who are repeat offenders?! Most of them have been let out of jail early and turn right around and start all over again. And the crimes escalate too. Ugh. Sickening.

I guess they know the best places to get their news, so they come here!

Law enforcement investigators located two dump sites on private property in a wooded area. One site contained evidence of the crime, and the other site contained the bodies of Beverly and Greg Giannonatti, as well as evidence from an undisclosed crime scene.
He would not divulge the nature of the evidence, only that bodies will be sent to the Montana Crime lab. The dump site evidence will be processed Monday by Montana Department of Justice criminal investigators.

Thanks to me being so remedial, I could use some help understanding what the highlighted sentence above means.

Much appreciated.

My interpretation:

Two sites were located on the wooded property (A & B)

Site A: evidence of the crime -- the murder of Bev and Greg (so I would say they were murdered on the wooded property and not elsewhere and then transported)

Site B: bodies of Bev and Greg, plus evidence from Crime scene X (as of yet undisclosed -- do we presume it is not the robbery of Greg's home, then?)

That is an awkward sentence. My guess is that there were three crime scenes. One where they found the bodies and the other two where each of them were murdered. They have located where one of the murders took place, but not the second. They have evidence of where it occurred, so hopefully they will be able to pinpoint where it happened. IMO

I think Claire has it pegged...

On Sunday, their bodies were discovered on a private dump site in Powell County along with evidence from an undisclosed crime scene, per the Standard. A second site held evidence of their murders, police say.

Perhaps clearer...

I would hide the gold bar in the toilet tank.

So......Sorry I have not read this entire thread....but going back to the beginning THE GOLD BAR the cleaning lady saw it then 10 days later these ppl vanish...Who did she tell about the gold? Does she know this man that was arrested?

There was a dump site!
A site with the evidence of the murders.
Undisclosed murder site.

Seems this guy grabbed MOM and called son... If u want to see your mom alive again get the gold and bring it here.... then he murdered them both.
Was this the man she was seen with earlier?

Also I wanted to add I was a housekeeper for over ten years and it is absolutely true that the ' maid' knows a lot more about what is going on inside your house than you think. I knew when one husband was using drugs before his wife did because I found a pipe in the laundry. I knew when one husband was having an affair before his wife did because when he went out of town he kept his wedding ring at the top of the shower behind the shampoo bottles, where no one looks unless they are cleaning it.
