Found Deceased MT - John Borninkhof, 54, has difficulty walking & other health issues, Laurel, 12 Jul 2023

LAUREL, Mont. — The Laurel Police Department is searching for a missing 54-year-old man.

John Richard Borninkhof is a 6-foot-3 man weighing 290 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. He is known to have a two-inch scar on top of his head and may have difficulty walking due to a healed right foot fracture with a screw.

Borninkhof was last seen leaving a home in Laurel Wednesday evening.

He drove a 1988 brown Chevy Suburban with Montana plate 3-86006C.

Officials are concerned for Borninkhof's wellbeing as he has heart disease, COPD, high blood pressure and is without his medication.

He is a frequent camper around Beartooth Pass.

The vehicle belonging to a missing man has been located in the Newton Lakes area Saturday, July 15, the Park County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.

PCSO said in the Facebook post the vehicle was parked in the Newton Lakes area for three days and appeared to have keys and valuable items in it.
