FBI seeks suspect in child molestation

HELENA — The FBI and law enforcement offi-cers in eastern Montana are asking for the public’s help in locating a man suspected of molesting a 5-year-old girl in Baker. The man has been known to use the aliases Sean Denning, Shawn Denning, Sean Dennis, Dave Freebard and Dennis Shawn. He is between 5 feet, 7 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, about 135 pounds and between the ages of 44 and 55. He has gray hair and brown eyes. The man was last seen in Miles City on Aug. 20. Anyone with information is asked to call Baker Police at (406) 778-2151 or the FBI at (801) 579-1400.

I would say closer to 60 years old. 44....Are you kidding me?

It now lists his name as Johnny Benjamin Napier III

I didn't go back through the thread yet. So this is new info? They only knew him by his aliases before? I wonder how they figured out his name. Someone must have seen his pic and tipped off the FBI to what his real name is.

Back in the 90s, I knew of a creep who was named Napier. He would be at the upper end of this guy's age range now. He was a flasher back then, involving young women, as far as I can recall. He was so stupid, he would go to the convenience store two blocks from his house and flash the workers there, who all recognized him.

I never met him, so I don't know what he looked like. He lived in my neighborhood, I knew his wife because our kids were in the same kindergarten class (and in 2007, I hired her as an office worker at the medical clinic I managed). They had four children, aged 5 to 20 back when I met them in the early 90s. He was a bum and the wife had to work multiple jobs to support the family. Wish I could remember what his first name was...

sounds as if they have identified but not located him. When the FBI first had his image posted he was called John Doe #12.

So it seems as if they are making progress. Hope they apprehend him very soon!

Yeah, I wondered about that myself. It isn't what I would have chosen for sure.

I think the find a grave site link I posted about may not be correct. I found some John Benjamins from KY as well. I have found a family of Napiers from KY on FB. IMHO, there is a strong resemblance.

ETA- maybe not, as they now have is birth place listed as San Angelo, TX

I wonder if that is his REAL name. The FBI replacing the John Doe #12 bit with this name would seem to indicate. I wonder if we should ask a mod to insert his name into the thread title now that it appears to be known?

The one thing that has totally bugged me about this case is the tattoos... Notice what the FBI put up:

So IMO they must have just typed what somebody told them without asking that person to spell it out. There's a vast difference between Crissy and Cristy. I'll even wager that a man typed up the description bc most females I know that use a C for their name also use an h after it...therefore it would be Chrissy, Christi or Christy. However, most people I know that go by Kristi is just that - they use a K. Chrissy, Christi or Christy would be short for Christine or Christina. However, how could a person confuse an S with a T on a tattoo? They wouldn't IMVHO. A female would know what I'm referring to, at least I think so. So I am sort of leaning toward the tattoo actually being Kristi...

The fact that the FBI added his name and place of birth tells me somebody must have come forward bc maybe they recognized his face? Should we look into TX to get his background?

Holy cow. I found something interesting. I can't post it but I can say this...

I found a marriage & divorce record for a Johnny B Napier to Virginia ****. V's daughter is Kristi but idk if Johnny is her bio dad or if he's even the right guy for all that matter. Idk if its the same guy the FBI is looking for so I'm not linking or putting out the surnames. It's a fairly easy find though. Texas is key.
