Oh No... I literally just said to my husband "i want to log in and check on Kenzley" and now i saw she was found deceased. People are the worst. Sickening.

A 26-hour manhunt for a 1-year-old Poplar girl ended tragically Wednesday when her body was found several blocks from her house,

A suspect is in custody and authorities declined to release further information, according to the office’s Facebook page, which has been issuing updates on the case since Tuesday.

Kenzley Ava-Lee Olson, 1, was reported to have been missing at about 12:30 p.m. from her home on the 400 block of E Street East.

At about 2 p.m. Wednesday, police sealed off a several block area east of 5th Street East and rerouted traffic while also closing the eastbound lane of U.S. Highway 2. Officers blocked off streets and alleys while officers investigated the scene and searched nearby homes and yards.

I guess now we wait to see who the female suspect is and how poor Kenzley died.

BBM: I cannot disagree more. They took what they were told by the person(s) who reported the abduction- found both original 'suspects' in fairly short order, ascertained they were uninvolved. I think LE did a great job and deserve credit for such a quick arrest of a legit suspect. MOO

Fair enough. I'm only going on the information so far (and goodness knows the media get stuff wrong all the time), but if it turns out they just took somebody at their word and used resources hunting down a guy that was already incarcerated, it seems like a waste of time in a situation when maybe just at least looking his name up in some kind of database would have taken moments and immediately made them realise whoever was telling them his name was probably leading them down the garden path.

I can't believe how uninformed we are. She was reported missing from her home, by whom. Who does she live with? Mom and Dad, Grandparents, just Mom, Just Dad? Strange that more information has not come out.
IMO that baby was never abducted.

Yes, but if they didn't follow that lead and focused on parent and it turned out to be that couple, we would be out for blood. Based on how quickly she was found, I bet Leo had eyes on the actual perp. Moo

I think that we have to keep in mind that just because LE was following the lead of the two abductors, it doesn't mean that they weren't also putting the pressure on the person or persons who did the reporting. After all, LE knew that they waited 3 hours to report her missing. They may also know more about little Kensley's home life. Perhaps there was CPS involvement. I think LE did the prudent thing in pursuing the lead and I also believe they had other lines of investigation in progress at the same time. JMO

RIP little Kenzley. I'm so sorry some monster did this to you. You deserved so much better. May justice be swift and severe!

Im from montana also, from the flathead reservation. i have a nephew 10 and a niece who is 1 from the fort peck reservation were Poplar mt is. Ive stayed there before its a good but sad place. Some of are native people are losing there ways. are culture needs to come back

In late February, a 4-year-old girl was kidnapped was discovered alive 48 hours later. She girl had been sexually assaulted and a 20-year-old man was arrested in her abduction and sexual assault. The man remains in jail without bond awaiting trial.

So the person in custody has not been charged and they are searching for others ........
