GUILTY MT - Kenzley Olson, 1, Poplar, 19 April 2016 *Arrest*

I googled Janelle Red Dog and found an old article about her brother who went missing, suspected murdered ... Article dates 2001 .. Not related to this case, but our suspect lost a brother ... Why put another family through that kind of pain?

So was this her mother or a babysitter ? Also, what information is it that was released this morning that is so damn important that LE didn't want it to come out until court ?

I know, right? And this article says police received a call about an abducted child - so passive, no explanation of who called. No mention of parents or other family. Why the secrecy?

One-year-old Kenzley Olson died from blunt force trauma before she was placed in a duffel bag and placed in a garbage dumpster a few blocks away, an investigator testified today....
...
During her confession, Red Dog drew a map to where the baby was located, on the 500 block between F and G Streets in Poplar. Trottier said. “We then found the baby where she described,” he said.

Okay, here we go:

A federal investigator says a woman beat to death a 1-year-old girl on a Montana Indian reservation and threw the baby's body into a dumpster.

KTMF-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1VH42wl ) Bureau of Indian Affairs investigator Ken Trottier says Red Dog confessed to punching Kenzley several times on Tuesday, killing her. She then put the girl's body into a duffel bag and threw it in a dumpster.
...
Trottier says Red Dog reported Kenzley missing, prompting authorities in Montana and North Dakota to issue an alert for a kidnapped child. The relation between Red Dog and the girl is uncertain.

Still no info on her relationship to Kenzley or where the parents are but she was the one who reported the phony abduction. Geez, I hope she's not the grandmother or something.

ETA: This article says Kenzley's family reported her missing.

On Tuesday, Olson’s family realized the girl was missing around 9 a.m. and reported her absence to police around 12:30 p.m.

When authorities could not locate the girl, the FBI was called in and the Montana Department of Justice issued an AMBER Alert.

Found one facebook page for Janelle RedDog (one word), but there's nothing on it and no positive way to tell that it's her. Anyone else find a facebook page for her?

ETA: Found a reference to a facebook page on google that I think might have been hers, but when I click it, it doesn't take me directly to the page so maybe it was deleted in the past.

Try pasting the dead* link into the Internet Archive's 'wayback machine' :

https://archive.org/

*works equally well for links that '404' out, etc.

Getting information out of LE has become just like Chinese water torture. One drip of information at a time until you feel like your head is going to explode.

Oh well, the sheeple of this country have allowed it to deteriorate to this point.

I guess if we want to figure out who this woman is and why she had custody of the kid to begin with, we'll need to go surf Facebook and see what the locals have to say about it.

So, she was the one that reported her missing, and likely the one that pointed to the two innocent people who initially became suspects. This is just sad!
One report is that family reported her missing, so would that mean RedDog is family?

A preliminary autopsy report said Olson died of injuries from blunt force trauma.

Red Dog’s attorney, Mary Zemyan of Wolf Point, asked Trottier if the injuries to the child were intentional or accidental. Trotter said it is unknown at this time and the investigation is continuing. Zemyan asked that her client be released on bond until it’s determined how the injuries were caused.

That's what the latest articles are saying.

A federal investigator says a woman beat to death a 1-year-old girl on a Montana Indian reservation and threw the baby’s body into a dumpster.

Forty-two-year-old Janelle Red Dog appeared in Fort Peck Tribal Court on Friday in the death of Kenzley Olson. Court officials say she didn’t enter a plea and was returned to custody.

KTMF-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1VH42wl ) Bureau of Indian Affairs investigator Ken Trottier says Red Dog confessed to punching Kenzley several times on Tuesday, killing her. She then put the girl’s body into a duffel bag and threw it in a dumpster.

She's being held in custody without bond. Her arraignment is Tuesday, April 26.

I'm sure it was reported somewhere that Kenzley was in her aunt's care.

and "accidentally" placed this little one's body in a duffel bag, and, this is conjecture, "accidentally" blamed two people for kenzley's "
"accidental"death
it never occurred to her that, if it was an accident, calling 911 was the appropriate action?
