Details of Disappearance​

Gilchrist lived in Breckenridge, Colorado in 1999. He sent a postcard to his family from Missoula, Montana on October 22, 1999. He has never been heard from again.

After his disappearance, his vehicle was found abandoned at the intersection of Blaine and Tremont in Missoula. Few details are available in his case.

Missoula is about a 15-hour drive away from Breckenridge, so this doesn't sound like it was some sort of day trip. So was he visiting? Did he know people there? What connection does have to Missoula?

And what, if anything, did he say on the postcard? From the description, I kinda think it was blank, and if so, are we looking at a potential self-harm situation?
