Suspect in Chico shopping cart murder arrested

A suspect in the Chico shopping cart homicide was arrested while attempting to strangle a woman, according to the Butte County District Attorney.

ok so i assumed the man pictured was the 61 yo victim but no that was the 48 yo suspect.... ROUGH LIVING man!

i have a family member who is an addict and unhoused in oroville and has been in chico. there is a lot of homelessness and the area is mostly rural between towns.

Chico has become very unsafe. Addicts and criminals run the town. Everyone I know that lives there are putting their homes up for sale to get out.

That is really sad to hear. I had a boyfriend who was at Chico State and I went a few times to visit and loved the town. The University is so pretty. Such nice people and it is sad to learn how it is now.
