Also wondering regarding the ring camera of neighbors and if the evidence conflicted with his account ?
Was he inside her house before the fire started ?
It seems likely ?
This is all so chilling, as if he'd learned the behaviors and patterns of his neighbors.
From his photos at the links he looks like any concerned caring neighbor.

By itself not uncommon for nearby neighbors to know their neighbors who may be considered friends at some point.
Just in hindsight.

I wonder if there were any neighborly disputes between the two of them…property lines, loud noises complaints, animal (dog?) complaints… The “mayor” descriptor is actually a bit negative in my mind. Did he know everyone’s business? Did he feel like it was his neighborhood to run as he saw fit and didn’t like someone getting in the way?

About the only people I let in my house besides family was a few very good friends who'd had me over to their homes -- when we traded some babysitting duties for each other ?
I'm talking like about four families total.

No matter how helpful, I wouldn't want a friendly guy inside my home, even if a leaky pipe needed looking at or whatever.
Just being cautious.
This is just such a wild twist.

I'm getting a clearer picture now. Apparently he stated he was out walking his dog when he saw the fire. But this quote from the article stood out strong.

I am also interested in his phone/computers/electronics.
Some people aren't computer-savvy but others take to it quite easily.
Like, if he'd mentioned anything to anyone else or just wrote on his FB or whatever -- "If Virginia complains about my yard/dog/tree/shrubs just one more time .. that's it !!"

Another thing, did he ever look into people's windows at night ?
That happened to a friend of mine years ago; before they moved into a rural area -- her husband worked night shift so she was alone with her baby.
Called the police but didn't recognize him and couldn't give a good description.
Had blackout shades for at night and alarms installed.


Also agreed as to whether there were property disputes ?
The lived right next to each other from the links/vids.

I think the burglary charges are going to be key here.

Oh I didn't see that he lived next door.

That changes things in my mind. Perhaps there was a dispute over something, like the fence, trees, barking dogs, could be anything.

Or maybe he had been waiting for her to die or move out to a nursing home so he could buy next door and it was taking too long for him.

Maybe the fire was meant to scare her so she'd move.

I'm interested to know of any other events that happened to her or her property.
