you're so right Carrington...I guess they think they will be that clever one that will get away with it.

He had from say 1 am (from time she got home from the party) to 4 am (when he goes to the store) to dispose of her body, in the middle of the night when nobody would see him. Then he goes back to the house and cleans up before the kids wake up. Course all of this is pure conjecture on my part. I wonder if any neighbors heard a car leaving in the middle of the night?

Seems the pond wasn't the best place to put her...do you think he wanted her to be found quickly?

The Harris Teeter was the one on Kildaire Farm Rd (WTVD)

I want to know if Nancy's medication had been tampered with and if she had the proper amount in her system.

someone else here questioned the same thing...i think it was yesterday?..the autopsy should find that, if it's the case...

I think it is fairly obvious he didn't want her to be found quickly because he sent people out on a wild goose chase in the opposite direction.

That that was interesting, her best friend ha? If true that makes this even worse. Not only does he cheat on Nancy but with her best friend? With friends like that you don't need enemies.
Isn't that the truth?!

Murder she wrote said:

I bet he was more worried about his 'story' then the speed with which she was found. He came up with the run idea and, obviously since he was the last one to see her, the one who gave the clothing description to LE (light blue running shoes, etc). I bet she was either nude and he scattered the clothing or she had on the clothing that he described. If I were LE I would get a description of the outfit she wore to the party and find it. I bet he threw it away.

All of this is MHOO.

Thanks everone for the warm Welcome!

I live about 30 minutes from Cary in Durham. There are several things about this case that "bug" me.
1. Why go to the store at 4am for anything? Also most SAHM would make sure things like milk and bread were in the house especially when they have to feed toddlers.
2. He has been quoted as saying that she went running at 6 am and 7am which is it? Also he told someone she went alone and then stated she went with her friend Carrie.
3. Why didn't he start trying to call around and look for her when she didn't show up at her friends house?
4.If he just retained attorney's today why has he not been at previous press confrerences?
5. Why did he wait to notify his family of her disappearance?

I could go on and on.....I've been a guest for days but had to comment on this case...you all are great by the way.

yeah....i'm sure it was like "DING, DING, DING" when they heard he went to the store for bread & milk at that time of the morning...can you imagine?

This isn't a question that has been asked to my knowledge: Was she sexually assaulted?

This type of thing has become common here in NC in the last few years. I can only hope the court system will start actually executing these animals to send a message that they won't get away with this.
Domestic abuse is not treated as seriously as it should be. I have a now ex-friend whose husband was abusing her. She actually called me in the middle of the night to tell me he had thrown her on the floor and tried to strangle her. I told her to call the police. They came..saw...went. Said they couldn't do anything, not even remove him from the house as it was his residence and he denied the allegations...wth?

It sure is SS and I hope this "friend" is publicly disgraced. I wonder if she is married too.
If she is within their tight knit group of friends, I would tend to say she is probably married. I know many married couples have fewer single friends.

I read something earlier, don't remember where, but it said there was no sexual assault.

They didn't give details about the autopsy at this mornings press confrence, not even time or mode of death. They said they couldn't because of the investigation.

Thank you for answering. I was trying to picture what kind of store it was.:)

Great store. Our favorite place to shop there when we visit... well, until they opened up a Fresh Market ;)

No if about it - NC definitely requires a 1 year separation. Now that's not to say that some people don't fudge the numbers...but the law is one year, in separate residences.

Thank You -- I thought that's how it was but wasn't positive :)

This goes on all across the country, sad to say. LE hasn't come very far when dealing with Domestic Violence in the past 25 years.
