If she is within their tight knit group of friends, I would tend to say she is probably married. I know many married couples have fewer single friends.

I am sure you are right SS, probably married with kids too. I wonder if her husband already new about the affair or if he is about find out from the investigation.

I think it is ridiculous to have to live apart for a year before a divorce! Glad we just require some counseling here and a 6 month waiting period before the divorce is granted. (30 days if no kids are involved!)

So we have the bleach purchase at four in the morning. He was the last to see her and gave the clothing description. He did not attend any of the pressors but for one. He was allegedly cheating on her with her former best friend. She wanted to separate but he would not move out. and now...as SS has pointed out...he SENT LE ON A WILD GOOSE CHASE IN THE WRONG DIRECTION.

Dude, pass the foil. I need to wrap my head! Not to be stereotypical, but people in the upper~burbs watch CSI! (I am also from the upper burbs LOL) If he committed this crime he sure was stupid!

I've been following true crime since Truman Capote's "In Cold Blood". Oh my goodness!! You've got me beat! I also just this week finnished the book about Ann Miller by Amanda Lamb. It was funny seeing Wade Smith's picture in the book as her defence attorney. He also (unsuccessfully) defended Jeffrey McDonald. They are both old men now.

Someday these stupid husbands will realize that the spouse is the first one the police (and the rest of us) look at when the wife is missing or murdered.

Welcome Caroline! Unfortunately, I think many of them are catching on and getting smarter. This guy, however (from what I've read so far) doesn't seem to fit into this category.

I vote for toast...whomever said that above! JMO. I cannot imagine what it must be like for the family and the fear they must have for their grandchildren.

Also, somone had also pointed out how strange it was for a friend to call the POLICE just because Nancy had not shown up. Perhaps Nancy told her to call the police if something ever seemed strange...as her friend seemed to read a lot into the fact that Nancy was out for a long training run (I ran a half marathn and did some four three to three and a half hour long runs on the weekends) and that brad did not know who she went with, etc. It is a strange reaction...but not in this situation...where her friends were most likely aware of any abuse that could have been going on in the marriage. I do not think (mhoo) it was just an affair... It might not have been physical violence but I bet there was some emotional abuse or threats that may have scared her enough to tell friends and raise that red flag right away when she did not show up to paint.

Also, another thought...the friend she was painting with was also her half marathn buddy.... I bet they were training up for it together and following a schedule to get ready (I have in the past). Perhaps the red flag went off because they had a rest day scheduled for saturday and/or a long run planned for Sunday.

Since there is no doubt it will come out...she should warn him and take responsibility for her actions. He might find it in his heart to forgive and forget easier than if he sees her face splashed across the screen nationally as a "mistress" in a murder!

yes, it's one of the first things i heard about this case...it was said on one of the news stations that she was a "Canadian citizen"....course the media never elaborated on it....that message board is interesting...did you read where some jerk posted it made him/her sick to be reading there??

I agree. I can't imagine that the Adams woman was the mistress at all. My thinking was that it is a former friend or best friend. I don't think there's any way Nancy would help her paint her house if she knew she was sleeping with her husband. And if she was sleeping with the husband....I don't think she would have called 911.

I hear ya NCC! It is almost like a profile...and there have been so many lately! If you look at Scott Peterson, Drew Peterson, (list goes on...makes my head spin) they all have a hell of a lot in common and all think that they can truly get away with murder. Hell, some of them have! It is a strange mindset and almost it's own "class" of criminal mind like a serial killer, etc. My sister used to date a guy with the same personality type and thank God she got away from him. He had all the same characteristics! :loser::loser::loser:They, in my opinion, are all just a bunch of losers that need to be born and put, immediately, into prison before they can kill anyone.

I am waiting for that star trek tool thing they use on the show....we can scan people and figure it out before so many people are dead or emotionally dead as a result of having a loved one murdered. Beam me up scotty!:beamup:
