I am sure you are right SS, probably married with kids too. I wonder if her husband already new about the affair or if he is about find out from the investigation. If she is within their tight knit group of friends, I would tend to say she is probably married. I know many married couples have fewer single friends.
I think it is fairly obvious he didn't want her to be found quickly because he sent people out on a wild goose chase in the opposite direction.
I've been following true crime since Truman Capote's "In Cold Blood". Oh my goodness!! You've got me beat!I also just this week finnished the book about Ann Miller by Amanda Lamb. It was funny seeing Wade Smith's picture in the book as her defence attorney. He also (unsuccessfully) defended Jeffrey McDonald. They are both old men now.
Someday these stupid husbands will realize that the spouse is the first one the police (and the rest of us) look at when the wife is missing or murdered.
I think it is ridiculous to have to live apart for a year before a divorce! Glad we just require some counseling here and a 6 month waiting period before the divorce is granted. (30 days if no kids are involved!)
I vote for toast...whomever said that above! JMO. I cannot imagine what it must be like for the family and the fear they must have for their grandchildren.
Also, somone had also pointed out how strange it was for a friend to call the POLICE just because Nancy had not shown up. Perhaps Nancy told her to call the police if something ever seemed strange...as her friend seemed to read a lot into the fact that Nancy was out for a long training run (I ran a half marathn and did some four three to three and a half hour long runs on the weekends) and that brad did not know who she went with, etc. It is a strange reaction...but not in this situation...where her friends were most likely aware of any abuse that could have been going on in the marriage. I do not think (mhoo) it was just an affair... It might not have been physical violence but I bet there was some emotional abuse or threats that may have scared her enough to tell friends and raise that red flag right away when she did not show up to paint.
Also, another thought...the friend she was painting with was also her half marathn buddy.... I bet they were training up for it together and following a schedule to get ready (I have in the past). Perhaps the red flag went off because they had a rest day scheduled for saturday and/or a long run planned for Sunday.
Since there is no doubt it will come out...she should warn him and take responsibility for her actions. He might find it in his heart to forgive and forget easier than if he sees her face splashed across the screen nationally as a "mistress" in a murder!I am sure you are right SS, probably married with kids too. Someone else on the message board (link above) said Nancy did not have a L1 Visa and was not a US citizen, as the reason she didn't work.
:lamb: interesting, Carrington! I was also thinking that was why LE was "ESCORTING" brad around as well...that he was a high flight risk into Canada...Someone else on the message board (link above) said Nancy did not have a L1 Visa and was not a US citizen, as the reason she didn't work.
Murder she wrote said:
I bet he was more worried about his 'story' then the speed with which she was found. He came up with the run idea and, obviously since he was the last one to see her, the one who gave the clothing description to LE (light blue running shoes, etc). I bet she was either nude and he scattered the clothing or she had on the clothing that he described. If I were LE I would get a description of the outfit she wore to the party and find it. I bet he threw it away.
All of this is MHOO.
This would be the same woman who turned her in as missing to LE. The woman (Adams) who made that call knew something we are not privy to, imo. If she was the mistress, I don't see her calling.(i had also heard the friend was her marathon buddy)
hi Carrington :Banane19:
yes, it's one of the first things i heard about this case...it was said on one of the news stations that she was a "Canadian citizen"....course the media never elaborated on it....that message board is interesting...did you read where some jerk posted it made him/her sick to be reading there??
(i just found that really stupid, but laughed, lol)
You guys could be right. He may have wanted to further humiliate her by leaving her naked to be found or he may have undressed her because of his blood on her clothing.interesting....you're not the only one that thinks this either, Bee..another person here thinks she was probably unclothed....

I guess I just don't understand the mentality. Thinking you won't be found out and spend the rest of your life in prison and lose MORE than you would have if you had just gotten a DIVORCE. Thinking you are smarter than trained law enforcement.
Guess it worked for Drew.
I agree. I can't imagine that the Adams woman was the mistress at all. My thinking was that it is a former friend or best friend. I don't think there's any way Nancy would help her paint her house if she knew she was sleeping with her husband. And if she was sleeping with the husband....I don't think she would have called 911.This would be the same woman who turned her in as missing to LE. The woman (Adams) who made that call knew something we are not privy to, imo. If she was the mistress, I don't see her calling.
