Welcome Reann!! I am sorry that the regular members have ignored your post and not welcomed you to the board. They have welcomed several menbers who are not bringing up sensible questions, but validating their existing opinions. I've been reading here for several days and really wish for a more balanced discussion as you are propossing. I would really hope at least that most of these posters would disqualify themselves from ever beging on a jury of any case they had ever heard anything about at all
You said that above wherego.

Firstly, welcome Raeann. I enjoyed your post as well. It is good to have balance! And very insightful thinking!

Secondly, Wherego...you say that there needs balance...so bring it. I think Raeann said it best here:
No matter what side he is requested by, I always discuss the case with him and argue against his opinions (Partly to be annoying, and partly to prepare him for what the opposing attorney might question him on).
balance is established by presenting an oposing view. I believe that just because we are discussing BC and the possibility that he could be the perp and how that could be possible does not in any way, shape or form, make us people who should never sit on a jury! WTF?????? It is always good policy to play nice in the sandbox.

Raeann....again....welcome and loved your post...and again wherego...balance is good so bring it on.

Respectfully,
Becky

I have to ask the members who follow cases like this closely....why would Brad lead the police to a shovel he found while he did a search on Monday??

Hi momto3kids! Where did you get that information? Apologies if I missed it on here. Could you provide the link? :blowkiss:

Lucy, Momto3 lives in the area.

Momto3, I could see him showing LE the shovel just to throw them off...to distract them perhaps... To maybe get them focused on digging to find her body in another location.

A shovel, after all, was the oposite of what was needed to find her....as she was just lying out in the open (again....if BC did this....I am very sickened that he positioned her body like that...vs...what typically happens in these hubby killing wife cases...which is hiding the body via burial or in water, etc)

again IMHOO

Hi there! I knew she lived in the area, I just didn't know that it was common knowledge. I thought maybe it was reported on the news somewhere.

Wow, not too sure how to take that.

I'm with you onTHAT, LM!

I'm just wondering, since no one else has asked this yet..... how did all of you new North Carolina posters find your way to WS to read and post about this case? Was this site mentioned on your local news or in the newspapers?

I have to ask the members who follow cases like this closely....why would Brad lead the police to a shovel he found while he did a search on Monday?? My understanding is it was one left behind from some construction and not a key piece of evidence. This was a location I am sure was combed time and time again. Why would it just appear or not be seen sooner? At the time the person spoke to him they did not know it was Brad. A conversation took place and then Brad revealed who he was with a handshake. It has freaked this person out.
I do know Brad wore the same cap and shirt in the search he was wearing to the press conference, but was wearing shorts in the search and not long pants on Monday. As I posted before it was pouring and gave us all a chill. He complained to someone very close he was being eaten up and itching all over.

whoa, that's creepy!

This is a great place to get news links and some info from locals though.

You brought up some great questions and I will try and discuss them later.
I have difficulty typing, and very slow.

What qualifies one as a regular poster?
Is it the post count?
If so, I would not be considered a regular, nor would you.
Having said that, I did read all of Reann's post and thought it quite good.
However, I do think based on what I've read and seen thus far, that the husband probably did this.
Were I on a jury, based on this limited information, I could not convict him.
This happens to be a message board. Court room rules don't apply.
Common sense plays a huge part, though.

JMHO

Jovin: I'm not living there currently, but I'm one of the few middle-aged folks who can say that they're a Cary native. My parents, a brother and a sister live within a couple of miles of Lochmere and whenever we're in town, my kids play in one of the neighborhood parks and we shop at that Harris-Teeter. So that's why I've been interested in this case and have watched all of the news conferences across the web and from across the country.

As for how I found this site, it was a Google that I did on their names, plus maybe "Wallsburg" and definitely the word "bleach", literally within minutes of hearing the CBC reporter ask the question. (Though, I have ran across this site before, but that's what brought me here this time and what prompted me to actually register at this juncture)

if he killed her and wanted to make it look like an attack while she was running, a sexual assault/rape, then I guess it makes sense that he would have left her naked. Guess he skipped over the part that LE would find out she wasn't sexually assaulted, and thus makes him look like even more guilty.

this guy didn't think this thru...that's why I think it was a spontaneous act. And he had to get rid of her body quickly, hence the pond, as opposed to driving around looking for a place to bury her or leave her somewhere more remote...

By the way, Cary was just named the 16th best place to live in the country in the new 2008 Money Magazine Best Places to Live issue.

That would be me. I only based that on my assuming that he killed her sometime after she returned home from the cocktail party the night before. Would he take the time to clothe her in running gear after he murdered her? Very macabre thought, indeed. Therefore, I think she was found unclothed or maybe partially clothed ( as in under garments)? Very telling if the clothes she wore to the party are not accounted for.

that's right...i'm sorry, i couldn't remember your 'name'...& i agree; very telling...

This case is so sad. I look at those two little girls and wonder how he could do that to their Mom...IF he did!
