Nancy Grace - 10/16/08 Thursday

Maybe KC was going to disappear to California. At that point, the decomp would prove Caylee was dead and the killed by the "kidnapper" leading to believe KC was dead too. Then assuming both KC and Caylee have been kidnapped & murdered; therefore, no need to look for a "live" KC.
:waitasec:

KC then lives happily ever after in California, Puerto Rico, or wherever she wanted to go while all her loved ones are looking for her dead body. JMHO.

Let's take it a bit further....why continue to live w/ TonE and party at Fusion? Why not leave once she left the car at Amscot?

Oh my gosh, you didn't hear about the satanists in brown vans who had a pact to kidnap pregnant women to sacrifice on Christmas? One thing I learned from Geragos during that trial, all people who drive vans are murderers and people who drive BROWN vans are murdering satanists. *shudder*

ROTFL....There's no way you just made that up ......So I guess he did go there..

Unreal.......I didn't follow that case as closely as this one but still, don't know how I managed to miss that......!!

How does a person come up with something like that?

  • #383
Huh? I don't get that...how would a fake kidnapping get her away from Cindy??

And, why didn't KC just get a job, get a place, and LEAVE.

No, you're right, she has always insisted that this particular nanny has, or at least took, Caylee. If KC really believes this nanny has the child, (it's possible), I have wondered if she actually saw the nanny take possession of Caylee or if she just believes that happened because she dropped the child off there but didn't actually watch until the nanny had Caylee. Or even if she had actually left the child with other friends or acquaintances, something happened during their watch, Caylee got lost or wandered off, they found out somehow that woman had been there, thought she took Caylee...or a tragic accident occurred while friends were watching Caylee, KC was afraid of incriminating them or herself or was afraid of facing her parents with that, concocted the nanny story...Or even that some friend or acquaintance harmed Caylee but convinced KC the nanny has her and she believed them and elaborated from there. I honestly don't know what happened, there are simply so many possible scenarios regarding the nanny. I do still think it's within the realm of possibility that somebody, even this particular nanny, acquaintance, whatever she really was, actually has Caylee.

Even if any of that were to be true, for the life of me I can not understand why Casey is silent now. What would she possibly have to lose by coming clean now in any of those scenarios? You have no idea how much I WISH that I shared your optimism.

Did you guys read the new PEOPLE?

JG seems convinced that Caylee died in an accident

He's quoted as saying that .....

"I don't believe KC would ever hurt Caylee on purpose"

"Sometimes Casey would go outside to use the phone & leave Caylee in the living room"

"Caylee would hang out in the living room while KC was in the computer room"

"Caylee had a habit of picking up rocks off the ground & putting them in her mouth"

"Caylee was drawn to the pool "

"If something did happen.....I almost believe that KC would take Caylee & put her somewhere & then tell herself a new story, a new reality of what happened"

Just thought I'd share these comments with you guys incase you missed them

I remember that interview. He also mentioned eating the dog food. Kids her age do put everything in their mouth. I can remember both my kids as well as my grand kids crawling over to the dog dish so fast your head would spin.

Any normal, loving mother would have immediately called police if any of those things happened, don't you think?

Oh yes, absolutely. Any mature mother would know to call police if there had been a tragic accident or anything like that. But what if the child had accidentally ingested drugs or inhaled chloroform that KC and friends were using, or there was something like that that they didn't want to come out? Or, if it really was an abduction but it wasn't a simple abduction, for example, if she had actually allowed this nanny or acquaintance to take Caylee for an extended period or had failed to pick her up, something she doesn't want to admit, she thought she was going to be able to get back in touch and was trying to find out where they were and didn't realize the gravity of the situation at first, or something like the person keeping Caylee actually abducted the child to silence KC about a crime or to prevent Caylee telling about a crime, that there is some kind of blackmail or threat involved. So many theories, of course.

Then why the month of living it up, not telling anyone and not even being upset? Why decomp in the trunk of her car and in the back yard?

The biggest question for me is why wait 31 days? If CA didn't report it, KC might never have. Why would you not report your child missing???

So, the scenarios are:
1. She left her toddler at the foot of some stairs and drove away and when she came back hours later, her child was gone.
2. She left her toddler with friends and when she came back Caylee had either disappeared or died.

She never contacted authorities, why? And now that the authorities know Caylee is missing, she isn't telling what happened, why?

Well, that's what I am asking seagull65...

to go along with your theory, seagull- why didn't she report it? why did she party and act normal around every one? Why is there decomp in her trunk? Why is there decomp in her yard?

Yeah, thats what he said alright! Let's just hope Geragos isn't the secret lawyer they're gonna bring in to defend Casey. Since they really don't have much money in their defense fund, he might have to have a convoy of brown vans to drive him out cross country!

You know, I think in the end, something as simple and normal as this could turn out to be what actually happened. Usually it does seem like the simplest explanation turns out to be the truth. As many have said here before, if something like this did happen, it's even possible she has been in a state of shock since then and can't allow herself to face what happened, will only let herself remember the last time she dropped Caylee off with the babysitter.

I agree. It sounds, from what the Rev has said in the past, that Casey was hinting for his family to provide a home for her and Casey. I think she played lots of people against each other in order to get what she wanted.

Yeah, Axis IIs do that. It's called "splitting."

It was a rhetorical question, Lost Girl. I know you don't know the answer. The only that DOES know for sure is KC - and she ain't talking.

I think her plan failed when the car was not stolen and towed instead.

And she was just so hung up on TonE, she planned on staying around as long as she could.

I don't know.

which theory? There are so many theories. Regarding any decomp "evidence", we'll have to wait for the trial to see what any evidence actually turns out to be. If it is identified as really being Caylee body evidence, then the questions turn to accident vs. murder, KC vs. someone else, etc.

Seagull, did you see the photos from Fusion? Did you see the videos from Target and BOA? Forgive me, but did you see a person that appeared to be "in a state of shock?"

I assume you are using the word "accident" to mean KC didn't intend to kill Caylee. However, in the law, if KC did something that put that child in the gravest danger even neglectfully, it may be enough to support a homicide charge. Therefore, her specific intent regarding an "accident" is not going to be a complete or successful defense.

As to "so many theories" when it gets to court if the defense wants to parlay one of those theories into a defense they are going to have to come up with some hard evidence that one or more of those things happened. Just arguing them isn't going to negate the prosecution's case.

Not attacking you. Just discussion. Just sayin'

If KC committed a crime, if she fatally harmed Caylee in some way, why hang around? Her continuation of normal behavior makes me tend toward the belief that she didn't realize the gravity of the situation yet, i.e. thought Caylee would be coming back, thought she was in good hands, thought the nanny had her for the summer, whatever. Either that or it's also possible that KC is completely delusional or has a cognitive problem of some kind. Could be memory, could be irrationality, could be delusions, could be a lot of things. It is pretty weird about the absinthe bottle in the party pictures. When the absinthe revival began I thought it must not really be the same old absinthe, it must be a new drink that's just called that to be funny. But no, it really is absinthe making a comeback.
