Nancy Grace - 10/16/08 Thursday

CA must be going through H*&& on earth. You know, her incessant talking irritates me to no end. And when she blames everyone but KC, I want to scream. But being a GM myself, I honestly cannot fathom what she must be feeling right now. I am going to be sure to keep her in my prayers.

I posted earlier how I cried when I saw George talking to the media before the GJ hearing. Sometimes, when Cindy is not attacking and letting her Borderline personlity rule her actions, I cry for her as well. It is obvious to me how much they love their grandchild. When/if? the time comes that Cindy faces the truth I don't think she will be able to handle it.

Those drugs may be the only thing keeping her from going off the deep end about now. By the way Turbo, I enjoy your posts!

I agree. I think right now she needs whatever she is on in order to keep going. I just hope she doesn't stay on them and continue to numb herself. My point about her being loaded though was that when she is like that she shouldn't be running around going on TV shows and she sure as hell shouldn't be DRIVING!

By "partying up a storm" do you mean the pictures at Tony's event at the club, where she worked for him? Those pictures that the media showed over and over again claiming that she was partying it up? The other pictures were from her 21st birthday a year ago and May 25, right?
Everyone saw the recent pictures of her at the club. She was bumping and grinding with another girl and looked like they needed to get a room. Not the kind of behavior of a mother that's child has been kidnapped or whatever do you think? I'm a grandmother and a mother and the whole Anthony clan's behavior is so inappropriate. Including trying to get money to give interviews. My god there is evidence that their granddaughter is probably dead.

Everyone's response is so different when a tragic accident happens. Most people would have the normal response that you did. And I am so sorry to hear that that happened to you and your family.

But some people don't have very organized, logical, or mature minds. Some people don't know who they can trust. Some have various problems. Some are using drugs or alcohol and aren't sure what happened when.

Or, again, there are so many other reasons a person might not tell the truth about an accident. Others on this board have stated them much better than I have.

And an accident is only one possibility of what could have happened. We simply know so little in this case.

But point taken.

We know what the forensic evidence says, and we know where it was found.

I maintain that in every case I've heard of regarding a missing child in which a mother is a person of interest or suspect, the associates of the mother were investigated along with the mother, in an attempt to find out what happened. At least all the cases I've seen.

But again, I'm more interested in the truth than in the prosecution's case. Looking forward to seeing what evidence will be presented and how it will hold up in court.

Yes. IMHO, LE has done a superb job. Their job is not to appease CA or to follow her orders. They are investigating a case and it is nearly done. The only thing they don't have is the body, and with what they think, it is highly unlikely there is a body to find anymore. So, they will go with what they have. There was no indicator that they should look in anybody else's house or location because the interviews were consistent. When interviews are consistent throughout and across the board on many factors, it is an indication of truth; something KC's interviews lacked from the get go. It is sad for the family, but the family does not get to direct the investigation or set the standard for what is done, how it is done or when it is completed. That is for the LE commander and the States' Attorneys.

I agree with you Themis. Apparently everyone EXCEPT Casey was honest with LE. If they had any reason at all to suspect any friends they most certainly would have investigated further. For that matter we don't know that they didn't and found nothing.

IIRC some were from June 20th at Fusion.

KC was clearly emotionally abusing Caylee. She just moved to the next step; physical abuse.

Every single person interviewed (including AH who had money stolen from her) said that KC had never and would never harm Caylee in any way. Where do you get this? There is no history of emotional abuse. Please show us where you got this

The Grand Jury says this isn't a missing child case. It's a mother murdered her 2 year old daughter case.

Seagull, how do we know that LE didn't? I'm sure they would/did if they had reason to believe that someone else was involved. Casey is the one that led them on a wild goose chase, not the friends.

They were!!! They even took lie detector tests and gave their cell phones to police!

If you read the statements and text messages that have been released, you will see that she was partying quite a bit during the 31 days.

Name calling is emotional abuse. Right here on WS, we saw that KC called Caylee a snothead. Google is your friend. Look for the American Academy of Pediatrics article on the devestating effects name calling can have as emotional abuse.

In this investigation there certainly does not seem to have been much interest in looking any further than the Anthony's home and car, that's for sure. Which is kind of odd, since that's where KC had spent the least time during the time frame. Again, it seems to me, from appearances only, I may be wowed during the trial to find out that there was lots of investigation to find out what happened, who knows, but on the surface it does look like investigators confusing themselves with prosecutors.

Pointless questions? If any of us had a loved one missing, would we find it pointless for investigators to check out every possible scenario? I wouldn't.

How can they find any answers, without raising all the possible scenarios they can think of?

Because LE has to go where the evidence points. There is slam-dunk evidence in JUST one place.

They do not investigate everything that anyone can dream up. If they did, they'd never get anything done. They follow the evidence. And, they have all the evidence they need to indict. So, they did.

Are you kidding? What investigation? Besides taking dogs to the house and car (only the Anthony's that is, nobody else's, none of the places where KC had been staying, etc), and sending in a couple samples from said car? Oh, and taking brief statements from a handful of the people who knew KC. Oh I forgot, reading the phone and computer records.

Whatever happened to the FBI supposedly being involved?

I guess, no matter how you look at it, it's still a heck of a lot more than the anthonys have ever done. Have they searched for Caylee? Besides on the internet? :bang::bang::bang:

I will never understand why KC didn't just leave Caylee with her mother and just go off and do her own thing. I know that the Anthony's are looney tunes but it seemed like they loved Caylee lots and would have raised her if KC didn't want to. It makes absolutely no sense to me.

That's what I said...even if she did it for a couple of years while she got the partying out of her system and got her act together. She could have seen Caylee on the weekends. It should never have gotten anywhere near this...lying about working...about having a nanny...telling friends her father had a stroke...were getting divorced...stealing money...and who is this baby's father??? KC is a money grub, there's no way she wouldn't have gone after child support, or if the guy who died is really the father, social security benefits for Caylee. This is one family that DOESN'T put the FUN in DYSFUNCTION!
