Nancy Grace - 11/7/08 Friday

My interpretation from the interview was Casey pocketed money she was suppose to put into G/C's account, came up with a pretty decent deposit slip, and then when confronted that the money wasn't there broke down and cried about how she had been robbed at gunpoint and was too scared to tell them their money was gone.

And I guess they believed this wild story?

I do feel sorry for them but my God, how can you be that dense?

First I would never give any of my kids a $4000 deposit to make for me, not that they would take it but I don't play when it comes to money.

Next, how foolish do you have to be to believe that someone held her up at gunpoint and she didn't report it because she was scared of her parents? Yeah right? She would have been screaming for police at the top of her lungs if this really happened because if it was true her parents would not have been upset about losing the money.

Are they truly this stupid?

I guess she didn't report it to police and they didn't bother to check it out.

Argggggggg, they give me a headache. I feel like a dog chasing my tail tryign to follow their logic.

And once again, Cindy "handled" it by circumventing George, meaning all she did was hold it over KC's head later.

And their finances are "in the toilet" according to George, but Cindy's just fine with letting Casey get away with stealing $4,000 from them? Totally unreal.

Why on earth would George hand over $4,000 to his lying thieving daughter in the first place?

He gave it to Cindy, and she handed it over to the little "mother of the year" to deposit for them.

From the interview George didn't buy, wanted the card for the officer that took the police report, which of course she couldn't produce.

It was in the GA interview, he doesn't really finish the story but eludes to the detectives having already heard about the story from LA. He mentions it in the same line of speaking as when he went to the Sports Authority and confronted Ryan S about kc being employed there.
Thank You

You got it. The "Caylee's Alive and we're searching for her" is utter BS.
I just can't get my mind around this family at all. If you believe your daughter is responsible for your granddaughter's death, why continue to cover up for her when all she does is lie to everybody about it? I'm  and  !!

This is what I don't understand. They knew. They knew she lied and lied and lied. And it doesn't sound like her lies were particularly well crafted. They sound infantile and obvious. And GA is saying "something wasn't adding up"??? It's no wonder she thought she could get away with the whole ZFG whopper. It doesn't sound like either GA or CA every questioned her on the silliness of her lies.

Exactly. It seems like they found it easier to play along than to confront her.

i've smelled both and think they are very similar..i was working in a hotel a few years ago and a guest had committed suicide in one of the rooms. it was winter, the heat was on and after 3 days, when he was found it smelled really bad and it is a smell you'll never forget but still similar to a dead animal, only stronger.
as far as a lingering odor, the room was thoroughly cleaned and rented out again within the week..no odor left at all.

There was a lawsuit they were talking about on the morning radio station abouty a year ago, and a man sued a hotel b/c he kept smelling something and it was making him sick to his stomach. He claimed his suitcase smelled, his clothes and no matter how much he showered he smelled. He found out from a maid at the hotel that a woman had died in the room a month earlier.....but they had re-painted.

The hotel guest won the lawsuit.

I must have misread some previous posts, which made me think they were looking specifically for Caylee's body.

I had thought they were looking for Caylee's body too....

I thought they mentioned it during that Interview with Greta in their backyard

I'm not sure though

Well you can deduce that they were...They even lifted up and moved the playhouse.

I think they suspected something was seriously wrong with Casey, but did not want to face the possibility that the artifice of their normal family would crack. I too think Casey and her actions were obvious, and on some level she wanted to be caught and confronted. I am not sure that ever happened.

It is my understanding she was trying to say she deposited the cash into her parents account, even giving them a deposit slip which was obviously phony according to GA.

Another example of Casey taking the BS to the furthest possible limit? The held at gun point story is just glossed over in the interview...I want to know what THAT was all about!

No where in Simon B's statement does he say that George told him Caylee is missing or that Casey was found.

Well I can always go back and reread them but maybe someone here can point directly to them. I only keep this stuff in my head so maybe i got something mixed up. I don't feel like looking it up but maybe you can if you are so sure that I am not correct.

Page 14 line 7 for Caylee missing.

Link won't open for me. I read it the other day. George says that Casey won't let them see Caylee. Simon uses the word missing, not George.

My eyes just rolled into the back of my head. I bet that's exactly what she said!

But if Casey was "robbed at gunpoint" she wouldn't have the deposit slip in hand, would she? A deposit slip would mean the money made it to its destination (i.e., the bank and not her wallet). A durrrrrr...

No wonder why Casey thought she could get away with Murder

Cindy & George = Enablers & Appeasers

Cindy & George = Enablers & Appeasers

George tried to talk to Casey about it, but Cindy stepped in and stopped him (the stolen $4,000).
