Nancy Grace - 11/7/08 Friday

My eyes just rolled into the back of my head. I bet that's exactly what she said!

But if Casey was "robbed at gunpoint" she wouldn't have the deposit slip in hand, would she? A deposit slip would mean the money made it to its destination (i.e., the bank and not her wallet). A durrrrrr...

Ha! You're using common sense, something this family checks at the door when it comes to Casey.

I am pretty certain that I read more details about this "robbed at gunpoint" story in the Various Investigation docs yesterday, but since they're not in pdf format yet, I can't make myself go back and try and read the teeny tiny text on that page.

Two questions
1.) What was the stain?
2.) Is there a connection JB and TonE? Or JB and someone related to the case?

I just can't get my mind around this family at all. If you believe your daughter is responsible for your granddaughter's death, why continue to cover up for her when all she does is lie to everybody about it? I'm  and  !!

I think the A's are covering up because they think Casey HAS done something that would earn her the death penalty.

It is pretty plain from George's interview he and Cindy feel Casey is capable. After hearing George's interview, I think C & G thought the worst right after they smelled the car and found out Casey didn't have Caylee.

I don't think George and Cindy are fighting because they think Casey DOESN'T deserve the DP. I think they think she does. Even if they hate Casey, they are afraid for her. Caylee is gone and beyond saving. Whatever she has done, Casey is also the Anthony's baby.

IMO

Exactly. When Simon relates what George says, the word missing is NOT used. George did not say Caylee was missing, he said Casey wouldn't let him see her. Only Simon used the word missing, after seeing on TV that Caylee was missing. Nothing is said at all about Casey being 'found'.

IDK Chilly, the way it's worded seems different to me. Simon starts saying when GA opened the door and the stench came out his heart dropped because GA had been telling him, his grandaughter's missing.

That's a very good question! I wonder myself if she knew of JB before being arrested.

Exactly. It seems like they found it easier to play along than to confront her.

I have been guilty of this.

I had an ex that cheated.

If you have ever lived in the same house with a person that is horrific when confronted sometimes playing along to keep the peace is easier than accepting the truth.

If you're right, I wonder if they'll become more sane about the whole thing if it's only LWOP Casey could be facing?

Okay this is from memory and may NOT be correct but I do recall JB's daughter possibly going to Colonial?

Actually, that's not the important issue. People have questioned why George told Simon that Casey had been found when she hadn't actually been 'found' yet, and hinted that it showed George was involved in some kind of cover-up. George never said a word to Simon about Casey being either missing or found.

This is why hearsay is not admittable in court ;)

I agree though, it is in the interpretation. We don't know that George did or didn't use the word missing, but he made it clear there was drama galore going on and they hadn't seen Caylee. Then the smell of the car, and George in his own words says that he asked the guy to come around to the trunk with him because he was so scared.

Sure:http://www.wftv.com/download/2008/0926/17564882.pdf

You might want to start in about the middle of the page that's marked 799 - George says Casey is telling them crap.

Thanks for the link. I reread and it is hard to say for sure what GA may have said to Simon exactly. He uses both haven't seen and missing. He does say that GA says that his daughter has been lying.

I don't know if this is where I got what I said or not. I would not have interpreted what Simon said that way.

I know that I read somewhere that GA said that they had found KC but that Caylee was missing but maybe it was just something that someone of the board said.

Oh well, even perfect people are wrong sometimes.....j/k.

does anyone else remember it the way that I do that GA said they had found KC but that either Caylee was missing or that hadn't see her?

But would they know him or I guess I should say would KC have known him because he is way older than she is and TonE didn't go to school here did he? Isn't he from NY or someplace like that and just going to college here?

Somewhere along the way many of us got the impression that George told Simon Casey had been found - leading us to wonder how he could possibly know in advance that Cindy had located her. It certainly had me wondering, which is why I made a point of rereading Simon's statement.

My interpretation from the interview was Casey pocketed money she was suppose to put into G/C's account, came up with a pretty decent deposit slip, and then when confronted that the money wasn't there broke down and cried about how she had been robbed at gunpoint and was too scared to tell them their money was gone.

The timing of when that happened makes me think that was the catalyst to George filing for divorce. He talks about the money problems and problems with his daughter.

I was responding to how did KC get JB's name etc. I have searched Colonial and I don't see a CB going there so I haven't a clue how KC would have gotten his information.

ETA..I've often wondered if he possibly represented someone KC knows..this is just me being curious of course.

I've been thinking about that and wondering.

Today when I heard George's interview it seemed pretty clear that George thought the worst very soon after Casey was found. Cindy's words to Casey were "What have you done?"

Then Cindy told George, "We've lost her."

They checked their yard.

It sounds like they thought Casey was capable.

Sorry, if I did not make myself clear. I was responding to you responding to how did KC get JB's name. Me....just wondering if he had went to the same school as KC would she have known him because he is so much older than she is. sorry it I caused some misunderstanding.

Could we have gotten the statement from somewhere other than Simon's interview? I know many have said the same but I usually don't get things like that mixed up. Oh well, this has been a crazy case and sure to get crazier before it is all over with. Maybe I need to step away from it for a while but I am afraid if I do something major will happen.

1.)The stain was where Caylee's body was and it was bodily fluids which were then tested as LE said they were.
2.)If JB were connected to AL...She would not have called home to get AL's phone number. She would have called JB instead.
