Ok, I have a question?
What defense are they working so hard on? The negligence case? That is cut and dry, I mean who in the US would not think she was negligent by not contacting the authorities within a reasonable time to begin with?
If they believe Caylee is alive, (as I still do) then who do they think was injured enough to have to hold out to see if the evidence shows a dead body was there? Who else is missing from the
another small lingering question?
In the interview where Amy was at JP's doorway, she said that Casey wrote several checks to herself and "others" and that it was all in the police report. It sure would be interesting to know who the others were to give more info to the timeline. Because it had to happen while Amy was gone. and Casey had her car from which she got the checks in question. hmmm

I didn't see that interview.

That they all have or haven't? By LE or the defense?

I would say LE has thorough dossiers on all of them...........I would say when they were called in to give statements the dossiers were already in front of LE. The F.B.I. usually makes sure of that BEFORE any interviews.

I remember that from the phone call transcript. She was also upset this was "all about Caylee". Her totally cold demeanor along with not even reporting Caylee being taken by somebody, speaks volumes to me that whatever she did to Caylee wasn't an accident. MOO

Excellent point!

Thanks! That's what I thought you meant. I agree.

Something I noticed is even though George was there the day she called, he was the only one who didn't talk to her. Nor did he talk during the 911 calls, but where was he? He had been home, cause he brought the car home, and I think called Lee. So where did he go after that? Does anyone know?
Is it possible he went to work between the time he got the car from impound and when the 911 calls were placed? Other than that, I'm not guessing as to why Cindy was the one who called.

This would actually be a reasonable defense, IF she said she didn't know what happened to Caylee. But that is clearly not what she is saying.
My son doesn't remember anything at all not even his combative behavior afterward. He will go so far as to insist it didn't happen, but that is the extent of it.

I agree.

Why would she be afraid of LE if she had a medical condition that she could use as an excuse? lol

Message to Casey: NEXT TIME you lose your baby.... & you finally get caught..... pretend you don't even remember HAVING the kid.... make believe you don't know what people are talking about. They'll bother you less if you don't give them anything to work with.

They might think you're crazy stupid but obviously THAT doesn't bother you.... look at the dopey stories you've tried so far.

My (IMO) answer to your question is why I, unfortunatley, don't believe Caylee is still alive. The defense that is being spun is called "reasonable doubt" and I learned all about it from Mark Geragos in the Laci Peterson case. It seems to me, they are banking on not finding a body. And I'm really starting to wonder if LP wasn't hired by the family or defense.

Does anyone know how much money has been collected to find Caylee?

This post is all IMO, of course.

ETA: As far as the checks. LE would already have investigated that, I'm sure.

We have "Safe" Places here but that only means you can drop off a newborn child without question as in a hospital, and I think Pharmacy is listed as one of those "Safe" places. I wonder if this is why LP keeps using that reference. There are video cameras there to catch on tape anyone who chose to drop her off. Just a thought as to the reference...

Oh man, I'm so sure you just messed with his stadagy(sp?) I think he was counting on outsmarting the kidnapper by catching them on tape! That's undoubtably what's behind him saying wait 2 days before calling for reward, giving him the opportunity to ID the perp on the tape!

Well LP I geuss it's back to the drawing board, darn and you were so close!!

Excellent point!
Thank you :) but to me, when an accident happens especially to your own child, your first instinct isn't to cover it up for a month and go out partying unless you know you did something to cause harm to that child and wanted it to happen. MOO

It's likely he was in the other room calling Lee & telling him to come home ASAP they had a real emergency.

When Casey was talking to 911, I bet BOTH parents were standing there with their mouths hanging open & their hearts beating like crazy....

it's just too bad that George &/or Cindy didn't beat the crap out of Casey that night & get the truth out of her. Big mistake, looking back in hindsight.

Surely he's just waiting for the right time to call these vile and despicable people on their deranged BS.
Whose body was in the trunk and in the backyard? Was that all contrived, too?

I wish someone would clarify what Casey is allowed to do when meeting with her attorney to work on her defense. Can she talk on the phone on an unlimited basis? Use the computer/internet? Surely JB had other business to take care of today on behalf of his other clients. Was he in the same room as Casey the whole 7 hours?

  • #154
Why or why doesn't Casey call her friend then and have him/her bring Caylee home?
or
ask for an extended time and GO GET HER!!!

What a concept??

Unfortunately, a few here are believing the latest spin as well. Even more so than ZG.

Just a really friendly reminder said with a big grin on my face;

Everyone's opinion matters. If anyone disagrees with a majority opinion on Websleuths they will be treated with respect of course.

No one should worry about voicing their opinion.

The reward is $225,000 (or is it $250,000)

I also think it was being offered for one month.... not sure if they added an extra month or if someone else is offering it now.

I wondered that too, but moreso about George being there the whole time in the same room and attorney/client privilege? Does anyone know if George left and just came back to pick up Casey?

Thanks LI_Mom, I actually meant if anyone has any idea how much has actually been collected. Normally, the reward fund in missing cases will not be the entirety of what has been collected. Normally, there would be money used for organized searches, etc. Although, I can't exactly say this is a normal case.

He just picked up a car that smelled so bad like human decomp, that he had to roll the window down and stick his head out,(instead of calling LE right there and then) that he decided to call his son who is about 25 and doesn't work in LE to come over and deal with sis and mom, so he could,"go to work"?
I dunno... ...

sounds like a plan.

Actually they most probably can. The exception would be what Catholic priests here in the confessional (during an act of confession). Only in a faith that has confession as a basic tenet of faith, is the act of confession to clergy privileged.
