Nancy Grace - 9/18/08 - Thursday

Can someone help me with this? It's been bugging the crap outta me ever since the audio from the LE interviews were released and I heard it again here on NG.

When KC mentions her mom taking Caylee to see CA's mom and dad at the nursing home, she says:

(this isn't verbatim) my mom took her to see HER parents at Mt. Dora.......

Okay, correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't that be KC's GRANDPARENTS? I don't know about ya all but when I make a reference to my dad's mom (presently, she's the only grandparent I have alive) I don't say first my dad's mom because she's my grandmother. Even talking about my mom's mom and dad, they are Nana and Dado and they passed away when I was 12 or so. My dad's dad is always my Grandpa PJ. I don't care who I'm talking to if they know me or not.

KC refers to them as her mom's parents. Not my grandparents. Does this bug anybody else?

Yeah...that struck me at the time, as well, eva. In my humble opinion, this shows lack of attachment. It reminded me of the talking heads, saying at different times, including tonight, that Casey is anti-social and only looks at people as a means to fulfill her needs and wants, and feels no empathy. It's familiar, I have a step-daughter who's a bit like that...well, maybe more than a bit.

What woudl the guard be charged with and why??? Just because she didn't notify LE about something she heard? Why didn't she??? And why doesn't LE give her immunity today so that she can talk. She certainly had nothing to do with this.

I too am stumped that the female guard felt she needed an attorney and won't talk to LE.

The only thing I can think of is that she became close to Casey and Casey confided something to her..........something that she should have told LE, but didn't because of her relationship with Casey. If that's the case, I can't see how she would be charged with anything (withholding evidence?) if she now cooperates with LE.

Hey HailleJade - OK let me try to concentrate and type properly.

My take on the security guard is that she has obviously heard something that could incriminate Casey and to protect herself, retained a lawyer. Said lawyer has advised herthat she can't talk to the FEDS before she talks to OSCO - which I thought LP mentioned that she would be doing tomorrow.

Or did I just dream that last part? He said something like, her interview couldn't happen today because she had to talk to the orLAHNdo coppers tomorrow. I could also be totally off base....

That is what I heard too.

Montana

I dont think Casey got Zanaidas name from Zanny the Nanny book. I think she got it at Saw Grass somehow cause Caseys friends live there, or she got it from looking on myspace from a friend of a friend on the myspace site.
And it would be interesting to know what that female guard or whatever found out, but I bet ya it was just more lies from Casey.

You KNOW LP is smart enough to read us! :-) Prolly last thing at night, and first thing every am. I DO think he should send us flowers!

Here that, Len! Flowers!

Pity the media don't read us. They'd be more current! HOW many times have they launched a month-old (by our standards) bombshell?

Flowers? No, I'd much rather just have a copy of those phone records.

Please

My thoughts on Casey referring to CA's parents rather than her grandparents is because it is after she was caught in the theft from grandpa's nursing care account and she is probably blaming them for causing her to have trouble with her parents.

Did I just make that confusing?

Just reading through this thread and had to comment on 2 words members included that made me laugh hysterically!!!

1. From moxiecrimefighter: orLAHNdo I LOVE LP but I twitch everytime he says Orlando
2. And sorry, I can't give credit where it's deserved but I can't recall who included this one: In-Opportunity

I wish we could have a thread for ridiculous, hysteric-invoking words/liners.

Yeah Leonard!
Finally made the strong point about Lee.
This is probably one of the most valuable pieces of information released to date. LA never did win me over. There's definitely something up with him. JMO

NG used a great contrast comparison with the 911 tape and showing that Casey has NO problem calling for law enforcement on the protesters while stressing the fact that she never once called 911 for her own daughter.

Good job stressing that point!

Leonard! You gotta love him!

Was that the bombshell? Lee? hmmmmmm....

It makes sense. He didn't want mom to call 911 and wanted her to give KC one more day.
He also had a discussion with KC while she was in jail that was never released to the media. hmmmmm...

Lie detector test... Nope. He also put the brakes on that happening.

What else?

As a matter of fact there is something she can be charged with! Misprision of a felony! If she has information on a crime and does not report it, she can go to jail too!

Somehow I don't see Cindy being cowed by perjury. Maybe some jail time might make her understand that mis-truths are not truths.

:highfive: You made me spew perfectly good Chablis through my nose! LOL!

That is what bothers me. This lady was hired to a job, not be KC friend. If she knows something well her attorney should work something out for her so she can tell what she knows. Some of the people involved in this drive me crazy :cursing:

Wait - haven't seen the show yet. Are you saying Leonard told Nancy Grace that Lee tried to convince his mother not to call 911 after she got home with the Resident on July 15th? Was that after he'd spoken to her and found out that she "lost" Caylee a month earlier?

No, I understand. Now (finally) it dawned on me why she never went to see GGP on Father's Day. So who believes that Casey, Caylee, and CA were just relaxing by the pool the evening of the 15th? Even on the tapes, LE asked her what she did the 8th (meaning the 15th). She never mentioned she hung around home that evening. She did talk about Caylee going with her mom to the nursing home. Then, of course, she goes on with adding extraneous details. In other words, she was trying to distance herself from the truth...the real reason why SHE wasn't there with her daughter.

His claim that he hadn't been in touch with Casey was another "mistruth". He spoke to her on the 3rd of July IIRC.

During the 911 call, Casey says her mother has the license plate number of the protestors that were fighting with the Anthonys. But when the 911 operator asks for the plate number, Casey puts down the phone. LOL, do you think she was lying about that or just got distracted?

Also I seriously doubt that the Padillas have time to read through all of these threads to get information. It is entirely possible that they have just come to the same conclusions as some of the members here. Great minds think alike!
