Nancy Grace - 9/19/08 - Friday

Why would Lee tell that particular lie to Leonard and crew?

'They almost had to call an ambulance because her blood pressure shot sky high' implies that she was scared because they were closing in on her.

Having no reaction would be the more likely conclusion of someone confident that Caylee was alive.

Or, confident that the body won't be found. And, thinking they need a body for a conviction.

If she knew Caylee was alive, she'd at LEAST be puzzled re: the finding of decomp in her trunk.

What I just don't get is why the female BG that was in the house - why why WHY would she want immunity? All she could know is information. I don't get it - can some legal eagle out there help me out? Why would someone like that need immunity?
:blowkiss::blowkiss:Hi Swag! I agree. I think you should start a thread on the female BH and see what are legal~wsers have to say about it. It seemed to me, per what was posted on the show, that she was concerned that she did not tell LE statements while in Orlando. My question is why didn't she? Why did she lawyer up? It really makes no sense whatsoever. If I were Nancy I would have asked LP his take on that!

I'm glad NG isn't yelling as much.

oh oh oh!

Disregard that

NG made a correstion & said that MH "NEVER" worked at universal

Sorry for the confusion but I'm blaming Nancy for this one

I don't think I realized just how much Casey finishes the detectives questions until tonight. He could not ask her one complete question without her cutting him off and answering it. She already had all the answers before she even knew the questions.

I wish they had nailed her down w/lies more. Where were you going when you ran out of gas? What time of day? Description of people who helped you push the car? Why didn't you just return w/gas? Why did you leave purse in there? GRRR.

Good questions, Kim!

I wish LE would have asked her how she left her cell phone on her desk at work (at Universal) and why Universal recently bought her a 2nd phone when she just admitted she hadn't worked there in 2 years. :bang: Her entire interview sounds planned - like she already knew what she was going to tell them.

I don't think I want to work at Universal if they supply the phone, but I have to pay the bill. :waitasec:

Another Casey lie!

she told a member of the staff at the tatoo parlor that Caylee was the product of a 1 nite stand. Does she remember which nite it was and does she remember who she was with on that particular nite? I mean, can she narrow it down? From her track record, no

Prolly not, given that there are 365 nights in a year. Unless she's keeping a careful and extensive database.

She doesn't want to be charged with obstruction or with withholding evidence because she left Orlando without telling the police what she knew. To play devil's advocate here, she probably thought that she couldn't say anything because of a confidentiality agreement, which is just a useless piece of paper in reality. However, there are things which have to be accomplished by LE through her attorney to protect her before she can talk.

But, don't worry, she'll talk. There's just red tape to cut.

I didn't hear this on NG. Is this a quote from the show?

(Wouldn't any innocent mom who loved her child and hoped she was alive get upset upon hearing there was decomposition in the trunk?)

Maybe GA coached her on what the cops would probably ask her?

Each time I hear those tapes of KC I get sick. Will this be our Enron? Our 100 year flood? The one case, when we have heard it all in our collective years, that we never figure out? I am hitting my head against the wall. I probably need stiches. See you all in the emergency room. Ahhhhhh.

Totally off the top of my head - did she sign a confidentiality agreement? I don't even know if LE could protect against a lawsuit?
A confidentiality agreement would have nothing to do with immunity. Immunity is granted by LE or State Attorney's office usually in exchange for information or evidence of a crime. Obviously this female BG was not involved in any way in the "deed" \, all she could have is information. LP said something last night that Orlando LE was a little "miffed" that she (BG) didn't talk to them (LE) before they all left for Calif. - but, still, can that get her in THAT MUCH trouble now? Does she know what happened or where Caylee is? I do believe if she had gotten inof as to where the body is - she (by law) should have reported that immediately.

I heard them say it too but they just made a correction & said he did not

I think there is another security guard that MH thinks may be Caylee's father

This is so confusing because NG & her guest are not being clear

Maybe KC isn't clear, either. You know how guys in uniforms can look alike.

SO glad she isn't here! San Diego has a humongous naval installation.

Not a legal expert here, but I DID stay in a Holiday Inn Express one time...

1.She probably signed a confidentiality agreement/contract. That's important to her job. If she has immunity, she can't be sued for breach of contract. If she doesn't have immunity, she could be sued and lose her employability.

2. Perhaps she believes that LE could prosecute her for withholding information from an investigation. Perhaps she just wants to know which trumps - contract or obligation to report. (?)
