She "LIES" about her hunger..What a pissa!..Nancy is now getting agitated with her..GO NANCY!!

Nancy was great tonight!

I just logged on so this has probably been noticed...

JB has resentment in her voice when discussing her daughter...as in, "she came in, left with a popsicle.."...."she lies"...."I TRUSTED her to go upstairs."

And why oh why...even with JB's account of a child telling her that her daughter was in the parking lot..why would she NOT eventually or right after she checked the parking lot..go where the child was last? AT the neighbors? JB never lists this in her places she looks for her daughter...

That comment really got to me. It had nothing to do with Nevaeh's murder and was totally uncalled for, imo. How can she say Nevaeh lies and then say she trusted her when she said where she was going to be at? Which is it?

Ohh My spine curled when I heard her say that. My God. But again, it's not so hard to believe that this mother would call Nevaeh a liar even to her face.

It's the lack of knowing right from wrong. The inablity to know what is OK for your kids and what is not OK. Basic stuff for you and I but impossible for her.

So why did JB bring up SO's debt? (She didn't answer NG.) How would kidnapping and killing her child relate to his debt? Was she implying some other SO paid him to help with the kidnapping?

I think it is plain to all of us that the mother did not check on her daughter at all. Nevaeh grabbed the popsicle and told her mom she was going upstairs and that's that.

She was all over the road tonight trying to show everyone that she is not a bad mom, that she did check on her child, when in reality I would bet Nevaeh had the run of the place whenever she wanted.

AMEN SISTER.

Poor Nevaeh and others like her. Born into these horrid situations.

What the mother doesn't realize (but will soon) is Nancy is going to show them taking their Mic's off over and over and over and over . . . It will never end.

Ya Ya, and rightly so! It reminded me of the McCann's during that one interview, catching them offguard. They got allot of flack for that and Jennifer will as well. xox

I'm thinking the same about the relationship between mother and daughter. Seems like some resentment, animosity there. Nevaeh was only 5 years old, sheesh calling your deceased daughter a liar on national tv.

She doesn't need an attorney, keep talking and tell us how you really feel JB.

Thanks Peliman for seeing the resentment..it was bothering me last night when watching some of the older interviews. Even an older sister would show more maturity and concern over a missing child...I don't know if she is the perp...too many at large sex offenders in the area to just look at JB...but she sure isn't helping me NOT look at her..

It may be more like she owed someone money.

I think he meant before Nevaeh was born. :)

LOL Yea, he might have confused the words conceived and born. He is just very young it seems and of Jennifer's ILK to a lesser degree. Do you know if he has a record Panthera?

"She lies" in FBI profiling is an attempt to blame the victim. Not a good sign.
The tattletale neighbor girl who told her about Nevaeh riding her scooter in the street. Tattletale? Damn sorry to interrupt you from laying on the couch mom thinking about what to fix for dinner. She lies about being hungry? GMAB

Walking out of the show? WTH!

ETA: Morphing stories

Bold emphasis added. JB's statement affected Nancy. That is when her her line of questioning got tough. It sent chills down my spine, and affected at least a few here in this Forum. The statement is wrong, not just from a FBI profiler perspective. Not only is she assigning blame to a child no longer with us, to state that a preschool child "lies" demonstrates little knowledge of child development. Additionally, it struck me as a jealous statement, but I will have to watch the show again to provide rationale. And what about respecting the poor child who happened to be her daughter and was just found murdered 4 days ago? Does Nevaeh not deserve any dignity after death?

NG as a former prosecutor is known for her tough questioning.
What did she expect?
NG coddling her, oh jb, life's so unfair?
Walking out was a cowardly act, whatever emotional state she might be in right now..

Yes, resentment and jealousy is what I heard.

It appears to me that many of the children in that complex run wild. Where were the parents of the children who told the story about Nevaeh being stabbed or going into the woods with the bad man? Where were the parents of the tattle tale girl or the girl who came over to spend the night?

Maybe it is just me, but it bothers me that the father is on TV all the time talking about his daughter when apparently he had very little to do with her in her short life. Poor baby! Father missing, Mom doesn't really care what she does and exposes her to people who might harm her. Why aren't we hearing from the grandmother since she is the one who had custody.

Am surprised no one mentioned this earlier, but if you rewatch NG, take notice of JB's eyes when she speaks. The majority of the time she is looking straight down into her lap. Reminds me of the television interviews Susan Smith did while claiming her boys were kidnapped by the carjacker. After her confession, a lot was stated about her inability to look the camera or her interviewer in the eye (re: lying...)

And OT....the "JB" is getting very confusing...kept wondering why everyone was talking about Jose Baez in this thread! HA!)

Good observation! One thing I always look at...cause I am invisible without eye makeup..is the makeup, false eyelashes etc. I look all kinds of BAD when crying.

Both JB ( I am getting dizzy with the initials too) and her friend looked like they prepared cosmetically for this show tonight...I just cannot help noticing things like that!

Casey by comparison always has shown more "strut" equal to the amount of makeup she wears. Both times she was observed heavily made up she had a "flip you walk and attitude." I see it in court now.

Even if I never put grooming aside...it bothered me...

I understand and I agree. This is an uneducated person who made horrific mistakes in the raising of her child and has no clue how to deal with the aftermath of her decisions, or lack thereof, or how to deal with the public outrage over those decisions. JB's demeanor on the show does not make me think she had something to do with her daughter's murder. But, my exposure to other horrible cases, the general reek of child neglect and endangerment emanating from Neveah's home environment as evidenced by the statements from her parents, the fact that JB knowingly exposed her precious child to a predator, all of that coupled with her lack of emotion causes me to not rule out that she may have had something to do with this crime, or perhaps, crimes that precipitated it.
But, I can easily see how it's simply a case like many others in which a person who should not have had a child carelessly had one anyhow, taking parenthood for granted, who failed to, or was unable to do what she needed to to learn how to parent, once her baby was born, and then sacrificed the well-being and safety of her child in exchange for her own romance or socialization. It happens all the time, as we know. But, something needs to be done.
I'm sick of seeing children born into a situation in which they never stood a chance, due to the circumstances of their parents. Education about parenting and birth control, serious intervention including parenting coaches and systematic welfare checks for families that become involved in the system due to neglect, abuse, criminal activity, poverty or drug/alcohol abuse, and last of all, prosecution of parents who endanger their children by exposing them to predators, either knowingly or negligently, needs to become a priority in this country. I'd love it if my taxes went to those kind of things, instead of to badly run banks and auto companies. Such policies are bound to prevent at least some cases like little Neveah's.
Very good Post, I wish there was an I TOO AGREE button. Not to make light of this fact but there are MANY uneducated people raising children this way, I saw it mostly in my old neighborhood. So when NG was stating that she did not know any mothers who acted that way, I thought 'nancy you really need to get out more ' because there are many parents who unfortunately leave their children alone all the time, For a part time seasonal job, I worked for a ski mountain (which is a great place for a pedaphile to dress up in ski gear and abduct a child at the bottom on the ski hill where there is no one there) and the parents leave their 5,6, 7 and 8 year olds alone constantly going down the slopes by themselves and thinking nothing of it! In fact I almost got fired for freaking out on a bunch of parents last January because they all went up to the bar drinking while their children (about 15 kids) were left alone downstairs as if I was there to watch them or something!!!! I see little kids wondering around the lodge all the time and no one acts like its a big deal!!! I would never leave my little ones alone anywhere, everyone thinks because its the NE PA area, its safe, WRONG, Its like a pedaphiles dream there, I guess when there are less abductions in an area people gain a false sense of security! But I digress, NG is wrong and I know plenty of parents who hang out with 'not so nice people' and let their kids wonder alone all the time....hard to belive but true...

Wasn't the tattle tale eight years old? And wasn't she the daughter of a friend of JB's who spent the night the night with them; therefore, under JB's care, also? Did I understand that correctly?

From what I've heard today, her radio interview & now on Nancy's show, I don't think there was a lot of love for Nevaeh coming from her. With the added little detail about her being pregnant (at least that's what I thought I heard on the earlier interview today!) it just might be that she thought of Nevaeh as an obstacle, or something in her way, or maybe resented that Nevaeh may have been closer to grandma. After all, she had missed some very important bonding time with Nevaeh while being incarcerated. Just my own observations.

Did you notice tonight she changed the tattle tale girl to a good friends daughter ?

I have had these thoughts before. It is quite possible that JB's story is changing over the weeks simply because she is changing to appease public opinion. She did it on NG by reacting with the "I watched her go to the door." I think she also left because she realized her error, once Nancy pointed it out. I think that JB is acting much like a chameleon changing colors to blend in to the current environment, and I suppose that it is more likely over her inablity to act rather than any malicious actions taken toward the child. I don't know.
