I didn't get to see the hearing today, but catching up on reading, and video links, I totally agree about the judge. Baez seemed to be in over his head and I can only imagine what will happen if he continues to defend her ~ for murder. MOO

I'm worried about that. Is he even considered a trial lawyer? I absolutely do not want his incompetency to get in the way of her defense.

Not for a woman..............I can count the drinks I paid for on my fingers when I was younger and went out for an evening. My girlfriends and I many times in college went out with a couple of bucks between us and partied all night long. LOL
Thanks for the info. ~ I'll take your word for it! :)

I'm waiting for the transcript. There was definitely something to what Tim was saying. I did not catch all of it, so I am waiting to read it. I want to know exactly what he was saying.

Why exactly does he want to meet with George & Cindy tomorrow and who else is expected to be there?

Salem

I think it's both a courtesy and standard procedure. They might not agree to meet with him. CA wants to direct the searches, according to her "tips." Tim said "no."

Even the state's attorney was telling him where to find case law. It was kind of funny in a perverted sort of way.

Yes, he is in WAY over his head, and he knows it. There was another attorney there with him today and I didn't catch his name, but he was much better at presenting. I wonder what happened to the first one he had at her bond hearing.

but he did state that he knew that Casey was sending herself fake work emails from one computer in the house to the other. I cannot believe he did not step in sooner. All the signs were there.....

uh huh.. poor George.

Me too. I think she stole $5 here and $5 there whenever she thought she could get away with it. It was never enough to draw attention until she began her "crime spree".
Didn't one of the boyfriends say she'd taken over $200 from him? Ricardo maybe?

After today, I'm a little concerned about that too. I'd hate for her to get a conviction then have it overturned on appeal for incompetent counsel. :behindbar

Someone said in a capital case they had have some additional credentials in Florida, so I am hoping he at least has co-counsel because he really is not qualified to present a defense if today is any indicator.

They have spent over 500 hours (according to my estimate) preparing for this and he could not even site case law for his motions. I was embarrassed for him.

Also, I want NG and her little lap-rat guest host to stop being rude to LP and TM. The two of them have a wealth of information that they present in their own style. Very seldom do they get to finish a thought before whichever host shows up chews them out. These are some of the good guys and they should be treated like it.

If she was going to make up a job she should have followed Jethro Bodean and been a double nought spy. She obviously had a taste for law enforcement.

I reckon TM will get the last laugh.

Yeah. I found myself looking for a sock and some duct tape...

I really hadn't paid too much attention to his background, but I am curious now just what experience he has ~ such as with capital murder, if the GJ should indict her with that charge?

I do remember that now - I think it was Ryan and it only happened once.

But I don't think she made a habit of doing that. People would have caught on much sooner. She stole the most from her family and then Amy, of course.

ETA: I re-read Ryan's statement and he stated that Casey borrowed $400 from him and never paid him back. So I stand corrected.

Oh I've got lots of them too ~ especially pertaining to why she wants to search NOW (as opposed to the "30 days" before her arrest).

I kept waiting for the judge to ask JB that very question. So disappointed he didn't.:behindbar

Well, maybe he was distracted when Casey was in his office for 6 hrs. each day? :D

I think KC used Caylee as a "poker chip" many before this last time IMO. I think he KNEW but didn't want to rough the waters. IMO they all KNEW she was crazy and stood by and watched it all so Caylee wouldn't be "taken away"...

As is often the case.

I really have to agree with you. Leaning towards the phone sex angle.
She could probably have brought Caylee along to "work" when she was
smaller. But with learning to talk, well Caylee may have started to
repeat things she heard KC say. It seems to me that I saw that
the original $225K was put up by some prominent person(s) in Orlando
and there were some ties to unsavory businesses.

Maybe Caylee's bio. father was someone of prominence in Orlando.

I thought the $225,000 was from Childfinders. They're clean.

I'm a court reporter so I've seen and heard a lot of hearings and I have been horrified by his gaffes.
