Nancy Grace Had A Awesome Show Tonite With Joel B as her guest.1-9-08

DrewP isn't intelligent I will agree with that. The way he talks to the media shows lack of education. And the way he talks about women shows his boorishness and also shows his inability to read public opinion. So book smarts, no.

But being intelligent is different from street smarts and experience and DrewP has both. Years as a cop, and he did ok in moving up through the ranks despite legal issues. And he managed to survive working undercover. During his work as a police officer he has helped to investigate other murders and heard shop talk about still more murders. He has likely heard of slipups committed by others that led to them being arrested for murders. So he does have experience.

I also think a part of the 'dumbness' that he exhibits is a deliberate act to get the reaction he wants. Which is for people to think he isn't smart enough to plan a murder. I actually know someone who also does that. He isn't an Einstein, but he is smarter than most people realize and because people think he is dumb but good natured he gets by with a lot and little is expected of him.

What has he done to show he has some intelligence? He has owned and operated a couple of bars for a number of years, he managed to accumulate quite a bit of income in some way-even before his 'inheritance'. That does take some intelligence.

Absolutely, Wudge. And so far -- that's exactly what we have ... nothing more, nothing less.

(PS: I've been drooling over and admiring your posts from afar. I'm aware that a handful here don't appreciate that you post from a legal factual standpoint without schmearing the issues with emotion.)

Nice of you to say that. Thank you.

The road from Cincinnati (I-75) goes straight south to Florida. It's a no brainer.

Well, if DP did take the Cincinnati route, he would most likely have left some sort of trail -- traffic cam photos, hotels/motels/restaurants/gas stations, etc. If LE wanted to they could easily check his movements and whether he may have gone through Cincy.

If LE wanted to track his route, and the timing all they would have to do would be to supoena his credit card statement. Also his cell phone might show pings along the route.

Those were my first thoughts when I heard him make that statement on Nancy Grace. :-)
IMO, Brodsky knows that there is nothing to prosecute Stacy for. He just wants the DA to make an official statement asking her to come forward and promising no charges so that when he is in court and defending DrewP, he can say to the jury "See, even the DA believes that Stacy is still alive, else why would they issue such a statement?"

He seems to believe that he is very tricky, with his simple ploy.

I so agree with you class-z I wished he would of been on her show for the whole hour because like u said I doubt he will get the @alls to come back on Nancy Grace.
I caught most of it Windchime, she asks the hard questions, doubt he will be back

I have a question "IF" Drew wrote that letter, wouldn't it have his prints on it and if it was a typical lick and seal envelope wouldn't his DNA be on it as well? I haven't seen the letter but I am assuming it was typed...I know of some cases where the printer used to print out documents etc can be traced....just thinking outloud here....I wish this case would break, is making me crazy! I live in Kankakee County and we have a lot of flooding that will eventually end up in the Des Plains River...I keep praying for a miracle that some evidence or a body will wash ashore with the recent rains and flooding.

Well the problem I see is, Drew opened the letter, so prints would be on it.
Self sealing I bet was used, but I hope le looked at that just in case.
The picture wasn't with the letter, wied huh.
Flooding I agree with you on that...

I finally got to watch the video (thank you WindChime) :) WOW - the written transcript doesn't do it justice! Nancy really grilled JB, and from the smile on his face, I don't think he realized at the time, how badly he did. I doubt he'll be making any more guest appearances on Nancy Grace! I'd love to see Nancy Grace interview DP. :D

I wouldn't be surprised if Drew P. typed and mailed that letter. He really wants people to believe that Stacy left him for another man. If someone had actually seen Stacy and talked to her then there would be no reason for her not to call her family and let them know that she is alright. I don't believe that she would hurt her family like this on purpose. I believe that the stepbrother did help Peterson carry a container down the stairs and it had Stacy's body in it. Peterson just didn't think that his stepbrother was smart enough to put 2 and 2 together. Peterson could have driven that container anywhere close to water and dumped it. Being a ex-cop he probably knows that area well.

I still don't understand how LE thought the 3rd wife drowned in the bathtub as there wasn't any water in it?????? I hope they get that one figured out pretty soon....and arrest him.

That's a very good idea!

The whole thing about turning Stacy into some sort of "runaway bride criminal" is despicable.

She's already lost her mother and sister, and she just wouldn't go off and let her other sister worry like this - no way. She wouldn't leave her children this long - no freaking way.

It makes me angry. :furious:

If it was printed on a printer, there might be coding on it somewhere indicating the serial number of the printer, which could possibly be traced to the store and a buyer. Many people aren't aware of this technology (snoopology!). I posted a tech article about it in another thread, probably the one about the letter and photos Sharon rec'd.

So it's quite possible LE might be able to find the originator of this letter...

In light of the snippy comment by Brodsky I saw this morning that LE must not want Stacy found b/c they won't issue a statement, I'd say you were correct. He couldn't get them to play ball and now he's getting snarky.

It is my feeling that this lawyer does NOT believe his client is innocent.

I don't understand why they'd bother finding the person who wrote the letter; sounds like it would be a waste of funds that could otherwise be spent following credible leads. (imo, imo, imo... lol)

I certainly hope LE investigates every lead. If they didn't, the defense would have a field day, wouldn't they?

So far, they are having a field day. I imagine DP's vacation to Disneyworld was lovely. And why not? (I hope it was, for the children, however. They surely deserve some joy in their lives.) But, since there's not enough evidence for an arrest, DP has no worries. He didn't need to write any letters is what I'm trying to say. He's well aware that LE has nothing on him.........yet, if ever.

This case seemed, at first, to be a lock for an arrest and speedy indictment during the initial media frenzy. I believe everything hinges on the findings of the second autopsy of KS. This case wouldn't have received such attention if there wasn't the mysterious death of DP's last wife, imo. If they still don't have enough evidence to bring charges regarding KS' death -- we won't hear much of anything in the future regarding SP's disappearance. (just a speculatory prediction on my part)

Who else agrees, that if there was sufficient evidence that KS was murdered, they'd have it by now and DP would be arrested by now for that murder? I think it's just not there and not gonna happen. And, if you do not agree ... why not?

Thanks for the opportunity for discussion.

I believe they investigate credible leads. Even Pam Bosco said publicly that this letter wasn't a credible lead.

Hi Taximom,

I did read your earlier postings about the 'coding' in printers. (It's fascinating and cool stuff!) I may have misread it, but I understood it to pertain to color printers only. Yes? No? Do you know? Thanks!
