And JAB is back in the media

The attorney for a former Bolingbrook police officer suspected in his wife's disappearance has asked state officials for clemency if 23-year-old Stacy Peterson returns.

--->>>mysteriew, your link does not work for me.

Are you saying 'the' attorney (JAB?) for DP actually did this AFTER Nancy Grance pinned him to his own wall?

I need to see 'his' actual request. Does he mean clemency for Stacy, and her ??? 'knowledge' that DP killed his first wife, er, um, and that she would not have charges filed against her for not REPORTING DP when she was 'alive' ??, OR OR whut?

This has to be another huge joke on JAB.

If you want to discuss far-fetched theories (which I believe this is -- the entire 'anonymous letter' conversation) ... there are re-mailing services available whereby someone mails a letter to a re-mailing service and that service mails it from that (their) city.

Not just "IMO" -- but logically, common sensibly:

This letter is not a lead.
It's just bullshyte, written/sent by someone without a life of notoriety and who thought this would get them some notoriety; albeit, anonymously. This person is probably chugging down beers and having a grand old time this weekend because ........... we're actually discussing that letter.

as always,
imo, imo, imo
:D

--->>>Would you refresh my memory about the letter under discussion, I have been ill and not reading completely here.

Was this the letter that spoke of someone seeing Stacy 'alive' ? WHY would anyone WRITE a letter IF THIS WERE TRUE. IF they wrote a LETTER, surely they do not have cable TV news. TIME IS OF THE essence, why use snail mail?? ER better yet why not call LE and tell em yer name, and tell em whut you saw, where you saw IT, and the regular who, what, where, when and how come deal.

Can we all spell FONY?

The letter writer imop, wants to cast aspersions on Stacy and help poor ol' DP who is presently dateless. The letter writer donut want 30 seconds of fame. I do think the letter writer most likely is illiterate.

I'm just putting this out here: The recommendation (by so-called experts) for those in fear of their lives at the hand of their abuser, is that they should leave their situation and NOT take their children, as taking the children c/would lead to the endangered person being found more readily (which makes sense.)

DP's record of (alleged) abuse is pretty much documented (what little there is of it) as being directed ONLY toward the women in his life with whom he's had relationships; yet, none toward his children -- ever.

Possible Bolingbrook PD 'corruption' taken into consideration here ... there are still no documented incidents where DP has been arrested in regards to any domestic dispute. (I'm not sayin' domestic violence on his part didn't take place. I'm saying that if it happened, and it couldn't be disputed, we'd have known about it by now - and, he's never been charged previously. KS isn't the only person who could've yelled, screamed and stomped up 'n down to promote the pressing of charges for abuse. KS' family (witnesses to it?) could've intervened if there was a clear and present danger. And yah, it's possible EVERYONE was so fearful of DP; but somehow I doubt EVERYONE would've been fearful of this guy. He's JUST a cop. If KS' family truly felt she was threatened or in danger, they should've/would've intervened. Likewise, if they felt she was murdered, NOTHING should've stopped them from furthering the investigation at the time of her death. None of this happened. Why not? They let the whole thing slide because they were terrified of some cop dude? ONE member, at least, of KS' family should've made a 'federal' case out of her death at the time.) I'm NOT blaming them for not doing so ... I'm saying that they don't look credible today, being interviewed/relating their stories about the alleged abuse she suffered, when they didn't make HUGE waves when she died.)

If Stacy felt the need to flee for her safety (because of what she claimed to have known about the KS death/murder), she would be brilliant to have left her children behind, to assure her own safety - so that she would not be found during this time, so she could testify later.

I think the slope is slippery. As a mom, you'd have to walk the tightrope with gritted teeth and consider what is in the best interest of both your kids and your own safety, but primarily ... your kids. If Stacy fled, perhaps she did put her children first and her other family second.

Will we ever know?

Yes, when they find her body. Stacy would not leave her children as well as Katherine's children in limbo like this. She was already feeling remorse that she knew about Katherine's death, which she told her pastor. I don't believe she would save herself and leave four children behind - no way.

This argument is always made whenever a woman goes missing. Frankly, it bores me to death. Most mothers would not leave their children behind because that is human nature. Saying otherwise is too far beyond human behavior, and it is proven over and over that most mothers take their children with the or they don't leave (unless they are killed).

Agree to most, but feeling remorse, not buying that one.JMO
Why didn't she tell the LE years ago if there were remorse.
Kathleen's poor family for not getting justice.
She wanted as ppl to know what drew did, so if anything happened to her
LE would look into both cases, which has happened..

Camper..........sorry you've been ill. To refresh your memory, this is the second letter that DP has received. The first was from Peoria and that was received back in November. This one is a new one, received by DP after he returned from the vacation trip to Disneyworld with the kids during the holidays. DP and kids left Bolingbrook on Dec. 26th and returned home January 5th or 6th. DP says that in his mail when he got home was a letter mailed from Cincinnati on December 29th from a person who saw Stacy in the parking lot of a mall in Cincinnati on November 19th. This person just happened to have a newspaper article in his/her car with a picture of Stacy and approached her. The person said that "Stacy" was locked out of her car. She told the person to mind their own business and leave her alone.....not to ruin her life. The letter writer says they want to remain anonymous because of the news media, and in particular, Fox News and Kimberly Guilfoyle, who has attacked DP. The letter writer also states that they took a photo of "Stacy" with their cell phone, but didn't include a picture with the letter.

IMO this letter is bogus, as was the first one - the one from Peoria. There's no logic to it. If it were true, why would the letter writer wait more than a month and then send a letter. Why not contact the local police and ask that they contact the Illinois police? Why didn't the letter writer include details like the license plate of the vehicle "Stacy" was driving? That could have been traced. And, why contact DP in the first place? Why not contact authorities who could act immediately on the information and verify it? All malls have mall security, and if the letter writer really believed they saw Stacy Peterson, why not grab mall security and have them check "Stacy" out? There's just too much wrong with that letter.

IMO this letter is bogus,

:)
And the reasons are...
  • claimed to have taken a photo but didn't send it with the letter (gee, I wonder why not)
  • said she appeared to be locked out of her car but didn't write down the license plate# of that car (nor describe it)
  • claimed she RAN away from him (and left her car there?) and the person still didn't go back and write down the lic plate#?
  • claims to have phoned the police; they have no record of that contact
  • because it never happened

Thanks, Camper! :blowkiss:

Does JAB get paid extra for each filing?

How does JAB get into the courtroom with those big clown shoes on?

Since this case has gone by the wayside for a while to other top stories,
Anyone know if LE is trailing him and/or of his where abouts?
I haven't heard anything....
