This whole thing is a fiasco and I am ashamed of the state of media coverage in this county. They report on anything and everything without checking on accuracy. This approach has a direct effect on our justice system (this case is a perfect example) and is reflected in other areas such as politics. Nobody ever seems to learn a lesson from past mistakes -- and I mean the media as well as us the audience. It is a huge embarassment.
It's a business. Worship of money takes priority. But, you knew that.

Some guy on Nancy Grace (didn't catch his name) said the buzz around Boulder was they do not have the goods on this guy. Said he might be charged with giving a false police report.

Question: Since Michael Tracey was the one who led them to Karr, and Karr didn't go straight to the Boulder PD, how can Karr be charged with a filing a false police report?
If he confessed to killing JonBenet Ramsey in Boulder, CO (where the crime occured) and he's lying about it, that's a false police report I would imagine.
The liar wouldn't necessarily have to physically BE in the city where the crime occured to make that FALSE statement. Boulder, CO police were in Thailand with the guy & flew back with him on the plane. The news has been saying this yokel confessed to JonBenet's murder.

Several days ago Fox News & MSNBC have been saying they didn't think Boulder had their ducks in a row on this guy or this case. That they were trying to buy time to put the case together against this guy, or trying to. When the confessed yokel was on the plane flying back to the USA, the news was reporting that Boulder, CO did NOT want him this fast. That it was totally unexpected that the NEWS would break THIS FAST. Boulder didn't want it to, for this reason. Boulder was NOT ready for this news to break because they needed time to investigate this confessed yokel.

News said Patsy Ramsey knew of this guy and that he had confessed, for several weeks before her death. That's how long they've known of it, according to Fox News, MSNBC News & CNN News this past weekend.

Anyway, if boulder bungled the case, tainted and mishandled the evidence as it's been said for 10 yrs, what difference will it make because if that's true they won't ever be able to have the goods on - well - anybody.

It's gotta be tough investigating any crime. Why Boulder didn't throw up their hands, scream uncle and call in the FBI from the start is anybody's guess. They should now. I guess it's a matter of their pride. What do they think they're upholding by not asking for help? Their pride is already shot long ago. Or so it's been reported. For 10 yrs.

This is an awful and complicated crime. Boulder is not a large city with endless resources. I don't understand why they just don't admit the obvious and get some help for themselves. Is face worth saving?

I agree Adelena, and it's looking like Boulder is making a quick fool of American justice by setting such a bad example. Going to all the trouble for one duck when they don't even know if it is duck hunting season!

I'll lay you odds that Boulder is going to be riddled with crime now that every criminal knows how inept their police dept and DA's office is. I also think if they don't take him to Co the judge should force the sealed warrant to be opened to see just what their claim was. Maybe the Attorney General for the State of Colorado should start screaming at Mary over the phone to get her bumpity bumpity bumping along with this case

Amazing! Scandi

Nancy Grace is on another CNN channel with her program called 'Headline News', for the poster who missed her.

I am NOT impressed with Karr's two female attorneys, I saw speaking from Jamie Harmon that appeared to come from her cuff rather than substance, imop. Patience the other female attorney, I forgot her last name, represented Karr on his other California 'problem'.

Dr. Kopolinski sp? forensic man, last night said there were TWO tiny bloodspots in JonBenet panties, one was degraded BUT that they got great result from the other one. This may back up Lin Woods comment quoted on this thread,

WE have known since nearly day one that the fingernail samples were called degraded since the ME used the SAME tool to extract from BOTH hands, this is a NO NO. Should be a separate pristine tool for EACH hand.

Nancy did get corrected I think from her show support folk on the mishap about Santa and Helgoth question from a caller.

The pressure from the network brass must push the reporting of BREAKING NEWS to the very LIMIT, in the interest of ratings. It has turned into a RATS MAZE imop. Quantity rather than QUALITY has replaced much of our societal supply of thingies and news.

I had a telephone call of importance BEFORE the handwriting person was on, can anyone tell me how that worked out?

I've heard over and over again since the Karr arrest that the DNA from the JonBenet murder is in the national DNA computer database and is compared twice a month for a match. Doesn't sound like it's useless to me. Maybe it's too degraded for new testing but if they already have the DNA profile in the computer what difference does it make if what they have left is no good?

"am getting to where I do not believe anything Nancy says anymore...She sure seems to get her facts "wrong" at times when she is babbling on about things...I cannot count the times I have seen her do this on both shows."

Yes she is wrong often. Drives me nuts when she goes off on a guest or tries to make them look like an idiot, which she does quiet often and it's very unprofessional. So many times when she is doing this to someone she has her facts wrong or didn't understand what the guest was saying.

She's an idiot and in my household we only watch her for the laughs she brings to our home.

I don't find Nancy Grace amusing at all. Just hearing her voice grates on my nerves. I watched her show last week because she was on vacation and she wasn't there. I find Greta's show much more informative and professional.

Nancy was great in the beginning b/c sometime during the Scooter Peterson trial she became full of herself and turned into a gossipy shrew.

"FBI Profiler, Pat Brown told Fox News over the weekend that they've had that partial DNA profile since the crime first happened."

That's right. And the forensic folks said it was too degraded to have been left that night, so it probably wasn't anything. The only reason we know about it is because Smit was allowed to pimp it all over.

"A judge was interviewed on Fox. He said the DNA was contaminated in both samples. the fingernails were exposed to air and the undergarments were also questionable. He said the BPD went and bought the exact same undergarments from the same store and the same kind of foreign DNA was present, probably from factory workers who handled the garments."

That's right. That doesn't mean Karr didn't do it, but, and I know I'll get hammered for this, the reverse is also true.

I read a news article on the Internet over the weekend that said he had been in trouble with the law in several CA counties in the past for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and assorted accusations involving crimes against children. they named the counties, but for the life of me I cannot now find that article.

I don't remember reading anything about a child murder in CA he was quesitoned about, though.

On Courttv, a little while ago, they mentioned the name of a little black girl named Georgia Moses. They said Karr's name came up during the investigation and that's when they found the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on his computer.

ETA: Georgia Moses disappeared in August 1997 and her body was found in October 1997. This happened in Petaluma, CA., and her murder hasn't been solved, but they do have a suspect who has never been charged.

Me either. Please tell us more about that. She wasn't the one found in a duffle bag, was she? Anyone know who she was and why there wasn't much news about it? Because there was a duffle bag in the crawl space at the Rs' house.

There was a 14-yr old girl who'd attended the same dance school as JonBenet, accosted in bed by an intruder, but her mother heard a noise, came to investigate, and he ran to their balcony and jumped off.

Susannah Chase was older than that.

If anyone does start a thread on the Dec. 23 Party Guest List, please post the picture or a link to it too. Someone, a guy, posted about it just the other day, that he believes JAR was in the picture. We had it at the old Justice Watch. Anyone remember how to get it now? Weren't there actually about a hundred guests? Only a few were in the picture.

Caution, we're not supposed to recklessly start new threads, the forum's so busy. And the 12-yr old girl's last name was Moses. I forget her first name.
I think that was in California so it may have nothing to do with this case.

I posted this on the questions thread but felt it needed to be asked here also...

Anyone else hear Nancy Grace say tonight that there is no such thing as a National DNA database?

Is this true? If so it is contrary to everything I have ever thought.

Someone else has remarked that N.G. needs a fact-checker sometimes.

Karr has predicted the DNA won't match, but you'd think they would already have checked some samples from the utensils he's used while under arrest.

Dr. Baden said there should be a 5-yr old DNA sample from his California 🤬🤬🤬🤬 arrest. Maybe they've already checked that and just haven't mentioned it?

I heard on Fox that it is contaminated due to the clippers that were used.

If I am not mistaken a differenct clipper is suppose to be used on each nail when nail samples are taken.

However, I tend to believe this has been known since day one.

i heard about this awhile back...about the clippers..

I thought it was the same set of nail clippers had been used on both of JBR's hands, instead of one clipper per hand. Not that a clipper from a previous autopsy was used on JBR's nails......

that's what i heard...oh it's been several weeks ago, heck it may have been several months ago...they're suppose to use a seperate clipper for each nail, but didn't...

Some info I found regarding Georgia Moses:

On October 22, 1997, the badly decomposed body of 12 year-old Georgia Moses was found discarded off a Petaluma freeway on-ramp. Among the many Sonoma County agencies that had failed to act in the face of repeated indications that Georgia's family was in severe distress was the office of District Attorney Mike Mullins. Both in late April and early August, 1997, just weeks before Georgia's murder, Mullins had refused to file charges on new sex offenses against Eddie Pope, a convicted child molester who had moved in on Georgia's disabled mom. Friends say Georgia hated and feared Eddie, who is suspected my many to be the murderer and by others to be the reason Georgia was driven in the streets.
