Nancy Grace to be on DWTS

When the new season of DWTS starts on September 19, are we going to have a thread on WS to follow Nancy Grace's progress? Would it be on this board or elsewhere on the site?

It is followed in the Jury Room.

BTW, I'm about to remove some posts about Chaz's sexuality as they are off topic.

A surprise guest on her show tonight. :crush:

Grace's secret 'DWTS' weapon? Jackson-inspired moves
TV host says she grew up watching 'Soul Train,' tried moves she thought the pop star did

Nancy Grace has a surprising secret weapon in her armor when she hits the ballroom — some Michael Jackson-inspired moves.

“I grew up watching ‘Soul Train’ and ‘American Bandstand,’ doing everything I thought Michael Jackson was doing, so I’m gonna try to parlay all that knowledge on to the dance floor,” the HLN host told Access Hollywood Live’s Kit Hoover earlier this week.

The former prosecutor is a feisty television presence, but she is ready to be respectful of judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

“As long as they don’t tell me how to try a murder case, I’m not gonna tell them how to dance,” she said.

:floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: Not to be mean or anything, but does anyone else think the NG has an unusually large head? She wears some pretty large necklace, like grammas tea cups and saucers collects that make her head look more in proportion with her shoulders. I started to notice the clunky necklace phenomina in the early days of the FCA trial. But hey, maybe its just me. Break a leg Nancy!

Wow - are you saying that Nancy is the devil? I know there are those that don't like her, but I would never equate her to the devil.

I hope she does well...good on ya Nancy for having the balls to do something I couldn't bring myself to do.

MOO

I admire Nancy Grace -- Name anyone on television who has done more for missing and murdered children, or who has featured the cases of a larger number of victims. She not only knows what questions to ask, she also knows how to ask follow-up questions, unlike most of her rivals. She may not always be right, but who is??? She's often rude to her guests, true, but it's part of her on-air pit bull persona. I think she's funny, over the top, and a true force for justice. I even like it when she says, "Jinkasaurus" and "Tot Mom." I hope she dances the shoes off the other contestants.

So nice to have a thread where liking NG is okay!

haha "Jinkasaurus". My husband thought that was Jeans name for the longest.. I didn't correct him either cuz he'd make me cry from laughing so hard at his outrage of a parent naming their child Jinkasaurus.

She is putting herself out there to be made fun of for missing and exploited children ..think we know where her heart is and how BIG it is .

Hmmm dancing with that guy pictured above would work for me too :)

Nancy did wonderful!! So proud of her. I can't imagine how intimidating it must be to go up against the sexy perfect bodied women on DWTS.

Yay Nancy! Her dancing partner just adores her and they were so cute together. A side of Nancy we never got to see.

Bravo!!

There was nothing to be ashamed of. She did beautifully. :)

I, too, am very proud of Nancy. I like her and admire all the work she's does for missing children and victims.

I think (and this is JMHO) that she must be a very likeable and very loved person in real life. A celebrity has to "maintain" a certain on-screen persona - speaking of her harsh and sometimes rude behavior on-screen - BUT I kinda think everyone on her show has a good laugh afterward with each other and the "barbs" that were thrown. Its just what brings in the ratings and it is what it is.

I hope she does well and lasts for quite a while. She is truly a good person - inside and out.

I'm rooting for Nancy. I think she did great for her first dance. I suspect that her existing fan base from her show may be existing fans of DWTS, so she should get lots of votes.

On abc website where you view the video's and each contestant, they have below the picture a facebook LIKE link. Chaz bono had last night 269 likes, all the others were lucky to have 5 or 6 likes. Some had zero!

I checked a few blogs MJSBIGBLOG and Ricky's page and my gosh 80% want and are voting for Bono.

It boggles my mind how someone can become a large fan and vote for someone they haven't even seen them dance. This is a popularity contest and to heck with the dancing. I watched them all dance last night and frankly Bono was in the bottom two for me. Yeah he is a transgenders but so what, this shouldn't automatically place him as the frontrunner but it has.

This is why I generally don't watch the show but rather watch it a day or so later.

Never voted and won't be voting because no way to balance the insanity out.

I like the underdog, the one who generally shows great improvement, can dance, without any dancing background. They deserve to win. /rant

I agree with you. I was so proud of her and the last part of the routine was sooooooooooo Nancy.

I won't mention something that caught my eye, but I'm sure Nancy knows what it is. Rock on Nancy. You're good at everything you do.

:great:

I thought she did fantastic also. Nancy has a great sense of humor among other things. I hope she stays on for a while.
