ok thanks
what purpose do they think they are serving by making these bold statements and having nothing to follow up with
I guess I shouldn't be surprised

Cindy gets the media attention she has come to love and crave.

Bless LP...he just isnt a good articulator of information, unfortunately.
I *think* what he was hinting at here is that GA and CA already had a different version of the story at their fingertips before it came out.
Remember, LP posted the bond just a few days after the whole case came to light...when KC was still spouting the initial story about last seeing Caylee at the Apartment complex. It wasn't until AFTER she'd been out on bond for a while that she told R. Dick during a car drive about the whole Blanchard Park scenario...complete with script etc.
Thanks I get it now, I think.

I actually believe now that Casey would've or was going to spill early in the game.
I believe Cindy set her straight.

I've always wanted to know why LE didn't ask Casey to submit to a lie detector test at the time that they were confronting her at Universal. This was before she retained JB. She was so insistent on her story of leaving Caylee with the nanny that this would have seemed like the perfect time to have her take the test. After listening to those interrogations it seems to me that she would have agreed to so she could "prove" her story. Then, after she failed the test, she would have been ripe for a confession/spilling..whatever. Did they think that throwing in her jail would force her to talk but she instead retained an attorney? They lost a window if you ask me.

the LE didn't know at the time of her being interfiewd that she was going to be a tough nut to crack. According to osco she has been the most difficult. Didn't KC have that whole Scarlet O' Hare thing working for her !

ITA. They way underestimated her at the beginning but have since made up for it.

The only error I can see LE made was to reveal/release the jailhouse recordings. They could have kept going and could have gotten alot more. I think they pulled the trigger early on that one.

BUT they may have done that because: A. They had enough to convict her (all tapes are not released) or B. They underestimated her and released them thinking she would collapse under the weight of public opinion.

LE has really pulled out all the stops on this. They really allowed the protesters alot of slack hoping they would collapse her and the family. Didn't work.

LE's most effective tactic does seem to be working. Completely disregard anything except she's dead. It is "renting serious space in their heads". Notice it has them much more defeated and resigned to this fact. Also, the "turn them against each other by releasing conflicting stories" trick is going well. I honestly believe either GA or LA have cracked. I just can't figure out which one.

REMEMBER: at trial, no other witnesses scheduled to testify can be in the courtroom and hear other testimony. So they will be blind to what the other said. (except media reports) So CA prepping GA and his "story" is going to be virtually impossible.

I've heard that, but I recall in the Scott Peterson trial members of both families were allowed in the courtroom the entire time. Was there an exception made in that case?

Which is a very strange thing to say, and do, considering he claimed on NG last night that Caylee is "unfindable". He's a walking contradiction.

No kidding!

Excuse me if this is a dumb question:

Are the Ants convinced that there is a lack of evidence and it will end in mistrial?

And also, what do you think impatientredhead?

Rob Dick spoke about this issue on his forum. He said that Baez has Casey "convinced" that she'll get off because there will "be a mistrial."
Dick didn't elaborate on Baez's reasoning (or lack thereof) and it's possible that Dick flubbed up the wording. I don't know what basis Baez would have for banking on a mistrial and I also believe that, in the remote event of a mistrial, Casey would absolutely be retried.

Could be to have them believe he was being upfront with them in order to disarm them so they would tell him what they know so far. Also to convince them that he was not involved in any way. Remember he asked them to tell him if they found her so he could prepare his wife (he said it would kill her.) It appears to me that he is lying. He smiles kind of insincerely and shrugs whenever he claims Caylee is alive and that he supports KC. It is so totally incongruous with his LE interviews.

Well said!! GA's face gets me every time he says that Caylee is alive, he tries to grin and look confident but he squirms and shrugs and it is as if he wants/needs to say more and is squirming to prevent any emotional clues -- which speaks volumes!!!!

Laci's family testified very early on in the trial, week one and two. Scott's parents only testified as character witnesses. Are you sure that family was in attendance before they testified? They may have made an exception based on the contents of the expected testimony?

I recently listened to the audiobook version of Sharon Rocha's book-- and if I'm remembering correctly, Laci's family's testimony was offered as early as possible so they would miss as little of the trial as possible. I don't think they were allowed in the courtroom until after they had testified. I know some jurisdictions do make accommodations for victim/witnesses who want to attend trial before their testimony is offered-- in those jurisdictions, victim/witnesses can wear soundproof headphones and sit in the courtroom, but not hear others' testimony. Unsure about the rules in FL, however.

The Universal interview was approximately 14-16 hours into the investigation. They had taken her statement at the house, left her there, uncovered a few of the lies, went back and picked her up, drove around getting more lies, and then Universal. They really didn't have time to work a lie detector in there, nor did they have enough data for that at the time. Keep in mind during that initial window they are operating under the idea that Caylee is alive and every moment counts.

Hindsight being 20/20 I think they shouldn't have arrested her that day, but left her and the family under tight watch. But at the time I think they did the right thing given the info. They arrested her and tried to turn up the heat to get her to talk. That was the right thing to do for a presumed alive Caylee.

I looked up lying and body language on google today...interesting things they had there about what liars do---twiching, scraching, touching their face (pretty much ca in all interviews)--GA however has puzzled me with that expression on his face when ever he talks of this wonderful news--also noted that he always says that and looks to the left with his eyes...another indicater of deception---he's thinking...oh yeah and those darn little notebooks---those are used to shield from truth...found the info on wikihow-com/detect-lies.com ---

Didn't Nancy Grace say she was going to play audio from a "bombshell" recording of Cindy and George grilling Casey during a jail visit?? I thought I heard that, but I may be completely mistaken.
Has this audio been released anywhere or is anyone else talking about it??

If GA did dispose of Caylee (hard to type that) then why would he repeatedly tell LE the car smelled of decomposition? These statements are very incriminating, imo.

Do you think he did it after he made these statements?

Yes, I do.
LE knows that George was ex-LE and should have known to NEVER drive that car from the tow yard. What he did NOT say to LE the night of the 15th when they were at the house is very incriminating, IMO. He did not tell them of how sick it made him when he smelled the odor pouring out of that car at the tow yard. He did not tell them what he thought that smell was - decomposition. I think that is incriminating! What he did say to LE that night as they were leaving is that he thought Casey was holding back information, IIRC. SO, George and Cindy, knowing what the smell was, NEVER mentioned it the night of the 15th!

IMO, Cindy, George, and Lee have been playing games with LLE and the FBI, and they know it. It is going to come back and bite them in the butt!

I do believe I heard her say that, nancy botwin. Then she never mentioned it again. I have not seen the written transcript or audio version released anywhere, tho. Wonder how she came into possession of it?

When the video of Brooke Bennett (murdered girl) in the store was played on CNN, I stated that her body language was such that I believed she was not in that store because she wanted to be. Her arms were crossed, and she seemed to be in a defensive stance. I was told there was no such thing as 'body language' by many posters. Then just that night, Nancy Grace had an expert on her show talking about it. I could have said 'I told you so', but did not.

So, Zoey, I believe with everything in me that LLE and the FBI realize that they are not dealing with 'normal' grandparents here. I am waiting for the other shoe to fall. The Anthony's body language is all wrong, their demeanor is all wrong, and they all lie.

I believe that Casey started crying in court at the bond hearing when George got on the stand because they share an awful secret. While I believe that George disposed of Caylee's body, I believe that Casey killed her. I do believe that when Cindy wrote her MySpace entry on July 3, even she knew Caylee was dead. Casey might really NOT know where Caylee is buried as I stated in an earlier post, IMO. That would fit in where in one of the first phone calls Casey talked with Cindy, Casey said something to the effect of, "What do you mean you don't know what my involvement is?" Cindy comes back with, "Well, you're not telling us where she is at, Sweetheart." Casey says, "Because I don't f'ing know where she is at. Are you kidding me?" These are not the exact words, but close. So, Casey is still guilty of murdering Caylee in my opinion, and I think that George is an Accessory After the Fact, and Cindy and Lee are guilty of (big time) Obstruction of Justice. IMO, one cannot roll without the other 3 going down with them. I really believe this.

You have managed to take hold of what little brains I have left after this case....I agree with you.....for I see it the same way. I also recall CA crying when GA took the stand...do you remember the letter she wrote to the Sheriff?....kc asked to have a private meeting with her father. when I first read the July 3 posting from CA...it was obvious, in my mind, that she had separated herself from Caylee.....it was cathartic...she knew.
