Have you seen that video from Ring Neighbors?

That man looks similar to the POI in the videos released by LE imo.

Spotted by a neighbor's camera in Tucson on 01/23/26:
"This guy appeared in front yard about 3:30 am and then returned about 5:00 am. My dogs went crazy barking and thankfully spooked him away. I didn’t answer the door. Anyone else see him in area of 6th between Campbell and Tucson blvd?"
Wow... That is eerie. I hope this has been submitted to the FBI.

I really think if there was some sort of family discord the other siblings would have known IMO.
And with the media the way they are all over this any type of controversy, record, personality quirk of AG/SIL would be well publicized by now. And it isn't - people without some sort of indication don't plan to kill their 84 year old relative and stage a masked costume thing in front of a camera that they thought was deactivated imo

Seriously- she is working from a description of an average man of average build with eyes and a flashlight in his mouth.
Amazing, probably looks like a huge % of the Tucson male population!

Just some thoughts to share…

Early on the sheriff said NG did not walk out of that house and he said something about her being abducted from her sleep/bed. He has since walked back those comments and said he didn’t mean them literally but I think they were probably a bit close to the truth. He also called in homicide early on so that tells me perhaps there was a bit more blood than has been stated. I think NG was attacked in her bed. I can’t say she was actually killed there, but I think she was knocked out at the very least and I think she was then wrapped in a blanket and carried out. (They have not stated what her bed looked like or if any bedding was missing ) I also think she may have been wearing her Apple Watch and the perp took it off so her location wouldn’t be tracked. People typically keep an Apple Watch next to the bed or on their wrist while sleeping. Since the ransom note mentions the Apple Watch is in a different or unexpected location I think it was removed prior to her exiting the house.

Lastly regarding the SIL, I go back and forth as to his involvement- leaning more towards not involved now. But AB may be correct that he is “primary suspect “ and that may be part of the problem with this investigation thus far. LE may have tunnel vision when it comes to him/family and they aren’t looking at other possibilities. It feels they have spent a lot of time investigating AG/TC house . And I thought it must mean they have leads, but it could be because they didn’t know where else to look and became too focused on the family to expand the scope.

All just my opinion.
I’ve also wondered if her watch was still on when the suspect entered her room. The suspect was uninterested in her cell phone, I imagine the same to be true for the Apple Watch? In the suspects haste to remove the watch NG’s fragile skin was torn? Watch was tossed, maybe at the foot of the bed?

I don’t think you’d necessarily need the credentials if you’re armed, look terrifying and can say “Unlock your phone or else..” to an elderly woman!

JMO
If I were the criminal, I wouldn’t want to touch the phone either. Plus, those gloves likely wouldn’t allow them to operate a phone anyway.

But why would they need access to the phone?

Does anyone find it odd that AG and BIL have not made statements considering some people in the public believe they had something to do with it? SG has a couple times holding out hope mom was alive. I mean, did LE tell them not to say anything? All so odd. There's almost always someone that speaks out. Hell, fD claimed he was innocent. This is such a weird case.

You guys may have spoken about this episode yesterday, but I enjoyed listening to the guest whom admittedly I’d not heard before. Two points from this-

1. The images released of one person, yet according to Kash Patel said “we are looking at people who are persons of interest” . Do we think he really meant two? Or, was he using that as a generality term which could be singular? Since the latest fbi post says suspect as in “singular” ?
2. The guest Matt Murphy discusses the gun location as incredibly dumb or what he wanted victim to see. And after having spent 4 years in the sexual assault unit he suggests the backpack as a possible rape kit. Discussed the case of Mary Ward, 79 years old. Usually don’t take victim. (After reading this article, it’s a bit different in that the perp didn’t break in or preplan it seems) Rape Stole Victim's Will to Live, Prosecutors Say : O.C. courts: Murder charge against man in death of woman, 79, is unprecedented. Critics say it's racist.

How many times now has this guy been interviewed about this? (Attaching an image from the first one I saw.) It seems fishy he’s just hanging out over there repeatedly, waiting for chances to say it is the SIL who did it. He lives 15 minutes’ drive from there, he said in the first one.

MOO
And this could be me totally misremembering or thinking of a different neighbour being interviewed but are both of these from the same house? I swear I saw one of these posted when all the reporters and social media people were at AG’s house after the cops were knocking on doors around the neighbourhood, but the way he’s called “NG’s neighbour” seems like at least one of the interviews was at NG’s house. I’m sure someone will know/remember better and I’m probably completely wrong but it had me thinking “Hang on a minute..” so just wanted to ask if I’m wrong/going mad!

Not even really “JMO”, seeing as I mostly think I’m probably wrong, but just my own random thought either which way :)

Exactly, and if you watch all of the videos, that hand, being the right hand, stays in one position for the most part. There's little movement.

I think he may have some sort of impediment with his right hand. Perhaps an injury of some sort? MOO

The things, that make you go hmmmm..

We all have experienced cases, were it looked like a mastermind had been behind it only to eventually realize it’s was quite the opposite. Sometimes things seem to be arranged to look a certain way and sometimes they are just happenstance.

So, what do we have here? Let’s revisit.

Starting with a photo from FOX news, from February 6th, marking the damaged and intact floodlights on NG’s property. The damaged floodlights are installed on the4 main house in close proximity to each other leading to the courtyard.

In this photograph from WBTV we see an open gate, which is located between the guesthouse and the main house. In most of the other aerial videos including GoogleEarth that gate is closed. I therefore assume the gate is usually closed or most likely closed during the night. This is also one of the intact floodlight locations:

In Brian Entin’s first video (02/04) he is interviewing two retired FBI agents and confirms a forced entry into the house. We I know about a back door/sliding door (?) possibly being the forced entry location. It has not been confirmed whether or not the subject entered through that location.

Next, we have been told by the Sheriff, that NG had been dropped off by a family member. She supposedly entered the house through the garage door. In this photograph we see the open garage and also the gate leading into the courtyard. Notice the 2 steps and the floodlight above (!). That floodlight did not appear to be damaged:

So, we have 2 floodlights that are damaged and 2 floodlights, which seem intact. The first 2 floodlights are close to the roof of the main house. The other two are located above the steps leading to the gate (courtyard) and on the corner of the main house to the left looking at the main entry in the front of the building.

So why damaging the floodlights illuminating the courtyard and not crushing the floodlight in front of the gate or the floodlight on the corner of the main house? Leaving the corner floodlight to the left of the main entry intact can be explained by not really playing a role of either tripping a camera or illuminating the subject’s way of entry.

Leaving the floodlight in front of the gate intact begs the question why? There is no camera, that can be tripped. If the subject planned on entering via courtyard and through the back door/sliding door (?), would that gate not be the access of choice? It does not seem that high. Backpack over and you are in.

Well, then we have to also consider the two (pairs) of floodlights dangling down from the wall. It looks to me like someone went on the roof and either tried to step on one of the floodlights - they broke- and then tried climbing do own. From the roof stepping in the second floodlight..and they broke as well. Really? Someone would be that sporty tho climb on the roof - or parked their pickup truck close to the garage to get up there - but they are not sporty enough to get down?

And then we have the recently released video of weedy lantana man wearing a fully packed backpack and he is trying to obscure the doorbell camera with some plants after already being recorded. Who does that?

So wee have Mr fully-packed-backpack-lantana-man getting sporty now and trying to get on the roof after realizing the front door may be a no-go trying to get into the courtyard while possibly braking the floodlights? Or did he break the floodlights after getting into the courtyard via the gate after possibly already being recorded? Who does that?

All of this makes no sense. A pre-planned home invasion or a pre-planned kidnapping would absolutely involve more preparation than to pick some flowers trying to cover the doorbell cam..And yet, removing the doorbell cam would insure not to see the condition NG was in, when possibly taken out that front door. In case they never intended to handing her over back to the family..just saying. ALL IMO of course.

Who does that..? Unless this is all smokescreen and they knew exactly what they were doing, why they were doing it and to whom they were doing it to.

All IMO

Cheers,
Nin

Because of the damage to the bricks at the broken lights it has been speculated that it’s possible the damage occurred during the apparently very recent resurfacing of the roof. Possibly equipment being hoisted up by pulley to the roof, etc.

Information about any damages, conversations by LE with the contractors, possible pending actions to correct the damage in one way or another is unknown to us.

It seems the damage to the bricks surrounding the base of the lights go beyond just breaking the lights and would take a great deal of force directly to the location which would be out of reach from the ground, imo.

It could be that the ransom note was telling of such damage as part of the knowledge of the scene perhaps gained when placing the small camera if indeed it was placed by the perp, or noticed that night during their entry from the back.

The perp/ransom note writer might be a roofer, or roofer adjacent, who damaged it.

I’m wondering how that kind of damage to the bricks would be undertaken or be necessary to just disable the lights? The surrounding bricks seem to be in good shape.

Of course I have no idea and am not asserting strongly if it was or wasn’t the perp that damaged it or finished it off if it was damaged previously before I get jumped on for commenting on it!

I doubt that people alone in their home lock their bedroom doors but maybe that in itself would slow down an intruder and provide time to make a call...also- did NG have hearing aids? If you go to sleep and can't hear- not good. And lastly, shouldn't there be an alarm or notice if flood lights are broken? Could have been done on another occasion... curious if these intruders(s) were at this property more than once though the doorbell guy did not seem to know that the doorbell cam was there- and prior to the video release, no one knew that he handled the lantana but WSers were asking about the broken vegetation from day 1.
I sleep with my bedroom door shut and locked for safety/fire issues. Nancy did have hearing aids, I don't know how bad her hearing was without them having been said. She did not have a subscription to the Nest camera on the front porch, so that leads me to believe she probably didn't have an active security alarm.

LE asking for video from Jan 1st to Feb 2nd makes me think they might believe something or someone may have been in the area previously.

All my speculation.

It is possible that NG encountered the perpetrator in the house, was extremely frightened and suddenly full of adrenaline and then suffered a medical emergency, like a heart attack, and then fell unprotected on the ground, potentially creating a head injury / bleeding. She was old enough that a significant level of adrenaline and fear could have pushed an existing problem to a critical stage.

If the perp was there just for a robbery, the situation would have drastically changed even if he didn’t have intent to hurt NG initially. He might have thought he would be blamed for her death, and removed her body / didn’t proceed with the burglary.

That’s been my impression all along. His first intention was a knock and then a function from the camera distracted him. Did he expect the camera to be already disabled for some reason?
I took it as him trying to obscure the camera lens with his fist and use his other hand to dismantle the camera. Then he went to go grab some shrub branches to place over the camera, which seem very amateurish, but it did work. He should have had some duct tape to cover the camera immediately.

If LE is checking Walmarts now, this might be over soon!

“A law enforcement expert speculated Friday that investigators working the Nancy Guthrie case are likely reviewing sales of Ozark Trail backpacks at Walmart stores in the Tucson area.

“If it was purchased new, you can go to Walmart with a subpoena, they will do this, they probably have already done it, and say who has bought that specific backpack in the greater Tucson area over the last couple of months, last six months, year, whatever it is, so now you get a list of names,” NBC law enforcement and national intelligence reporter Tom Winter said on the “Today" on Friday. “Even if they bought by cash, you would still have a record of that person buying, perhaps surveillance video of that person buying.”

The FBI’s Phoenix Office said Thursday that the masked suspect seen in a surveillance video released earlier this week is “wearing a black, 25-liter ‘Ozark Trail Hiker Pack’ backpack.” The Ozark Trail brand is owned by Walmart.”

TMZ posts another video, again the face is blurred out, but you can still see they have a mustache like the person who abducted Nancy. Who knows if it's the same guy, but it's a lead nonetheless.

Who would want to take her phone and risk being tracked?

<snipped BBM>

As of mid-February 2026, the disappearance remains unresolved, with law enforcement confirming that no suspect has been identified and no arrest has been made. Updates have been limited to confirmed facts to preserve the integrity of the case.

Police have clearly stated that rumors circulating online involving Savannah Guthrie’s brother-in-law as a suspect are false, reiterating that such claims are not supported by evidence.

As officials work to shut down misinformation and protect the family from harmful speculation, the emotional toll of the situation has become increasingly visible.

Thank you. I hope this gets picked up by a lot of media, because it's wrong to keep accusing people of a crime without having evidence. JMO

I think given blood trail and drops it is more likely she walked out..jmo
If she walked out, wouldn’t she have stepped into, smeared droplets? Most are still perfect circles, like the small blood droplets went straight down, were not disturbed, dried quickly in Tucson heat, good thing they were “ frozen in time”.
Because later, there were many people walking across. 🥺
