Doesn't work like that. The watch is only the device that collects data from the Pacemaker and sends it to the cardiologist. It doesn't go off like a metal detector whenever it's near her. Her Pacemaker only works if she's alive.
I did actually look up if a pace maker continues working after death before I posted. Every single source said yes. Here is one.

Does a pacemaker keep working after death?
Yes, pacemakers may continue sending electrical signals even after death, as they are not designed to recognize when a person has passed. This does not affect end-of-life processes

I hope the seeming "dead ends" LE seems to be at is a ruse, like when people thought Moscow PD didn't have a clue.
We actually don't know what LE knows, what evidence they have, what they are currently doing on this case. 🤔 Their silence doesn't mean they are at dead ends.

I would be thoroughly technically educated by now about all sorts of things, if only I understood more than one word in a thousand 😥

The Daily Mail article casts doubt on the official timeline that a congregant contacted Nancy Guthrie's family about her absence after church on Sunday morning. It's clickbait, in my opinion.

The Daily Mail states Nancy Guthrie had not attended church services in person since Covid, and her absence on Sunday would not have been noteworthy.

It states the church livestreamed services. That's passive viewing. Viewers cannot see who else is viewing the livestream. They cannot communicate with other viewers or the host. Therefore, according to the Daily Mail, another congregant could not have noted whether Nancy was viewing on Sunday.

The implication is that either the congregant or the family member who claimed a congregant contacted them is lying.

Please note the Daily Mail's claim that Nancy didn't attend church in person is based on a single unidentified source. It doesn't cite a source that the church livestreams services rather than using a platform like Zoom where her absence could have been noted. (Zoom allows active participation: everyone can see who else is participating and communicate with each other in a sidebar.) Or even if the church livestreamed, as @Inthedetails said, Nancy and others could have had a separate group chat open during the service to sustain community.

I don't put a lot of stock in the Daily Mail reporting. Until the sheriff states otherwise, I accept that a congregant noticed Nancy's absence and contacted a family member. MOO.

If true, this is disturbing

The more I think about the blood on the ground right outside the front door the more I’m wondering if it was staged. I’m having a hard time coming up with any realistic scenario in which the blood would only be in the spots it was in but not on the walls, the door, the amazon package, the vase etc. And it’s also not smeared, the drops are perfect circles. If NG had been on her side on the ground with some type of injury (like a bloody nose), at least some of the blood would’ve gotten smeared when either she attempted to get up or when the perp(s) forced her up.

It looks like someone literally took something bloody and just let it drip straight down onto the tiles, holding it away from their body and then making sure to step around it. The area that has the higher number of small concentrated drops looks as if someone had blood on their fingers and then flicked it in that spot to create splatter. They had to have been fairly close to the tile to keep the splatter from spreading outwards towards the mat, the door etc.

I could maybe see someone bleeding from the face (nose, mouth, etc) and leaning over either in the vomit position or squatting, and then consciously stepping over the blood, but I believe the blood is confirmed to be NG’s and she did not have good mobility so I don’t see that having happened.

I just keep getting more confused. I have no idea what to think.

I have wondered about the church angle. LE said NG didn't leave on her own bc she has "mobility issues"
So would someone have been her ride to church or was she able (and wanted to) drive herself?
She had mobility issues with walking any distance (greater than 50 yards or so). She still has a car and drives routinely. Her keys, purse, phone, watch and car were at the home when PCSD arrived Sunday around noon.

During Covid, my church did online streaming. Then after a 15 minute pause to make a cup of tea or coffee, some of us went on zoom for a chat. We would have noticed someone missing then. But that was only in Covid.

Has Savannah done stories on crypto? Other kids have it and got deep into it?
I don’t think it would matter even if a ransom because anyone can purchase crypto and just her wealth alone would signify she could meet the demand- depending I suppose on how many millions and liquidity.

I'm taking the DM article with a huge grain of salt at this point. As the information of her attending or not attending church services would have been easily verifiable by Investigators almost immediately. I'm confident by this point they know her normal routine and have a timeline narrowed down. If there was any traction to it I doubt we would be where we are at this point. JMO

This. I have to attend a monthly streamed thing, but usually some of us chat about it concurrently and afterward. If I couldn't be reached, someone would notice.

Regarding the Daily Mail story that NG did not attend church in person anymore and questioning whether or not someone from the church had actually notified the family of her absence…. I think this is one of those things that we need another source to confirm. LE has said from the first information released that someone from the church notified the family of her absence. Now it would not be the only thing that LE has had trouble communicating actual details about in this case but aside from the Daily Mail article, do we have any other indication that this may not be true or that NG no longer attended services in person? Should we accept that info without question from the Daily Mail if they are the only one reporting it? While the Daily Mail is considered mainstream media its accuracy and reliability have frequently been questioned. Maybe the story is true but maybe we need another source to accept that. Just sayin’

A big IF, in my opinion. A single unnamed source.
Presumably whoever called the family was known to them as an acquaintance of Nancy, but if Nancy hadn't driven to the church for years, the person would know that. If they usually chatted with Nancy after the livestream, and she wasn't on the chat that isn't a reason to panic, unless the person tried to call her to see if she was ok and no answer. Maybe THAT is why the family just went to check on her and THEN discovered something was amiss and called the police??? Hopefully, everyone knew who this person was....

Just something I thought of, don’t recall it being discussed…

There’s been a lot of talk about the video doorbell being removed, some even saying it was “smashed”. My question is… do we know for a fact it was removed before NG was reported missing?? If it was a local-recording device, as some have suggested, wouldn’t investigators HAVE to take it down and away from the scene for analysis?

The mounting unit on the door for the doorbell didn’t look overly disturbed. I’d imagine if a perp did “smash” it, or attempt to destroy it, or hell, even just remove it, they wouldn’t take the time to do it nicely.

Well here's the issue with that. If its what the perp did they are only half smart. Most ring door bells are viewable through your phone meaning they would need to have her phone to gain access to it and erase the footage that way. Just smashing the device only leaves it unable to continue to record. I am more concerned about the fact the FBI announced they were checking cell towers which I don't think they should have mentioned at all. Now the kidnappers know to ditch their phones and other devices.

Nancy Grace just did an episode with a blood splatter expert about this and it was really interesting. Basically he stated that the droplets could be from a bloody nose or because she is elderly a skin tear. He then mentioned how the intruder could have gone in the back but it would be very hard to leave that way with someone who isn’t very mobile so they potentially went out the front door. Totally worth going over to YouTube and checking it out. It’s the latest one she just posted.

Yes! Not being able to walk long distances does not mean someone is homebound or unable to live independently.

My mother is 94 and lives independently. She is very active AND in significant pain. But being out and about is how she copes. She drives, takes herself out for lunch every day, runs errands. She is involved in her church. Her daily interactions provide her with the socialization she needs living alone.

It seems, from what we know, Nancy lives independently too. Her family seems very attuned to her and unlikely to let needs go unmet.

This is a hard case to get a handle on. There's so many ways this could go. I'm in BC Canada and we are dealing with a lot of extortions and shootings ,in a way I can see kidnappings and ransoms happening now a days. I just feel sorry for Nancy and her family ,I hope they will find her alive but hope they find her. There's so much out there but no idea what's true any more .jmvho

McCabe making the same point I made earlier, that it’s hard to imagine a kidnapper delaying a ransom demand like this (based on the victim’s condition.”

Also talks about why the family would be encouraged to do this, and why police would be back at Nancy’s house today.

McCabe's analysis is a stretch, IMO. I have a tough time believing that they would go and plead for a legitimate ransom demand. Indeed, that the ransom demands they received so far were not legitimate, but there may be one out there!

I do agree with him that whoever sent the current ransom iteration isn't in the Guinness Book for intellectual prowess.

One thing that holds me up about the ransom demand is that there evidently wasn't one left at the scene, which would've been far more efficient (and less dangerous!) for any kidnapper. But we do live in a world of fame craved folks. Doesn't matter the kind of fame lots of times.

JMO.

This was discussed several times, but it's threads back. The doorbell camera was removed before LE responded to the home. The outdoor surveillance cameras were smashed. And it was reported that there was no active cloud account and they were recorded over every 8 hours (home server). Nancy Grace stated that. She did not disclose her source. She also stated that LE was working to restore images.
