Also, the statistics of married couples who do not sleep in the same room is very high. (Snoring etc.) If a couple does not sleep together, it would greatly increase the likelihood of one not noticing the other missing in the middle of the night.

I do think it odd for a 10 minute trip but not really important.Seems odd considering how close they live to each other. Butttt maybe NG used Uber because it gives her a sense of freedom if she doesn't drive.
It may have taken NG that amount of time to reach the door to the garage, we know she has trouble walking and so likely walks slowly. She also may have been carrying something, like leftovers or another item(s), If so, maybe she put things down and made two small trips back and forth in the garage kind of thing. There is usually a garage door switch to open and close at the door where you enter the house. So two minutes to do this sounds easily possible, imo. When we drop off elderly people and they go through the garage entrance, it usually takes this long and we watch them until the garage door closes and then we drive off. She may have used the garage switch and not a remote.

It's a security layer as well. I had Ring cameras installed at my 83 year old mother's house who lived alone (doorbell and backyard). I got instant alerts on my phone anytime anyone rang her doorbell or approached her property. She often had solicitors come to the door, landscapers, the often handyman when repairs or maintenance was needed, etc. It was a major piece of mind for me as I lived in a different city.
