Y
Have you ever watched "To catch a predator"
Yes. US laws are very different to those in my country re: entrapment, that is why I acknowledged my understanding may be different.

I have a similar question. Why is the family making public videos if they are going to pay the ransom? Why not keep it a private transaction?

My thoughts/ideas:
1) It's at the perp's request (more attention seeking behavior, likes the power)
2) There's no other option since perp didn't provide the means to communicate directly (which would give LE more hints to their identity)
MOO

I have an idea. Maybe LE has suspected them the whole time and this video making has given them access to the home and they they say, "hey we noticed something off mind if we look around?" I think the cops know it wasn’t a kidnapping. They are going along with these videos to gain access to Annie’s house without a warrant. “Sorry no leads yet, but you think we can swing by again today do another video and give you some updates”

I find it hard to believe if SIL and AG are involved, that they would be able to send these ransom notes without it being figured out by LE before now. Especially since it involved the bitcoin account and IP encryption. I feel like her death may have been heat of the moment if it was SIL/AG, so it seems off that they could throw together an elaborate ransom situation that quickly. I don’t know. This case is really crazy. So now I’m leaning towards the ransom notes not being really connected.
I have a new angle to look at. Maybe the newest ransom note identifies things in Annie’s house, as in the kidnappers have been in there too at one point in preparation for this crime, and they are trying to find DNA evidence etc. Just a thought

Wow that’d be so difficult. I can’t imagine being even somewhat cordial to someone so close to me if I were aware of something like that. I don’t think she knows, or believes the rumors. If true, I bet it will destroy her, a second time. MOO
Could it be possible the siblings are being separated at all times, with the exception of creating the Instagram videos? Under the guise of nobody being ruled out at this stage? So it would not be too difficult to simply record a short video with her?

There is no way they entered AG's house last night without a warrant, imo.

FWIW, Harvey Levin said that at the time TMZ received the first ransom, the broken floodlights were not public knowledge.
It also said where the watch was and was specific IIRC

I would be shocked if they didn't at least google to see if that was public info at that time and before they went public with the letter on Tuesday.

Only way to communicate with ransom demanders. Please keep our mom safe…we will pay…and may need time to gather resources in order to pay.

I believe it's been confirmed that it was Nancy Guthrie's blood.

  • Blood - blood was found on the front porch of Guthrie's house. DNA analysis has confirmed the blood belongs to Nancy Guthrie, but officials are awaiting results of further DNA testing
But nothing indicates it was recent blood. Could have been old and there were no footprints in it either

Catching up with everything that has happened over the weekend. Has anyone heard what LE/FBI were looking at in the garage? Other than keeping a car in the garage, some homes have a laundry room/work sink in their garage, attic storage, etc.

Sorry—that quote was not supposed to be in my post! But I did want to say that we get notices when our ring camera detects someone at the door. Even if it was disconnected at 147 am NG still should have gotten a notice that someone was there (maybe??)—yet no movement was detected until 212. Far fetched theory but maybe she went to investigate-the perp was expecting that (even with the 1/2 hour delay) and grabbed her when she went to investigate. I always thought the motion detector picked up people coming to get her but maybe it was her going to see what was happening? Idk. Another piece of the puzzle missing I guess. But if it was the front door that was unlocked then this works. And if it was only a short activation of the motion detector that could be why-I guess. Would also explain the blood (eg did she cut herself on the doorbell?). Personally I prob
Would have called someone but she seems to be pretty independent…….

I don't think it's routine either.

fwiw.

I think it was an attempt to finally rule out or rule in the SIL rumor which at this point may be a red herring that has been taking waaaayyy too much police time. Eliminate him or tighten the knot. jmo He's not involved.. MOO

It looked like they were doing luminal testing, which, imo, is far beyond what is done to rule someone out. My opinion.

But, time will tell. I hope it's not family as that would be absolutely torture on top of the heartbreak.

I have a feeling that SG knows that AG is involved with this and is going along with this ransom charade. SG seems very angry and distant towards AG, meanwhile AG is looking terrified and hyperventilating.
I agree. The emotion from AG could be for herself. The realization that she or partner/husband are still under scrutiny. A more self serving emotion...sadness or fear... or maybe she is/was unaware that someone close to her is/was involved and now she knows and it's guilt. IMO, her partner/husband is involved possibly with others. The event of what was to come totally unknown to AG and that realization brought out this emotion finally. We know SG was very close to her mom and supposedly AG was too but to what extent we do not know and her brother CG, we know very little about him or his part in any caregiving of NG

Good morning! It's been impossible to keep up this weekend with life, but just to make sure I haven't missed much since Friday, other than the newest video from the kids, has anything happened besides LE being at NG's house again, AG's taking photos, possible unidentified male POI, and Brian Entin listening to coyotes?

Well SG and her siblings released a new more somber sounding video yesterday on Instagram

Agree. From the 2025 Christmas family photo he looks to be approx 13 years old.
I saw that photo. TC wasnt in it....unless I missed something or saw a different photo? Neither was Cameron's wife ( if he has one). Only spouse i saw was Savannah's hubby. Odd...

That would be quite a coincidence that a house with a disabled front door cam, smashed flood lights, and a missing homeowner had large, old blood drops outside the front door.

This is going to sound terrible but for me to believe the ransom writer bad guys really had my mom- they would have to tell me something that LE didn’t document in my mom’s house. Leaks happen so where the watch was in the house, flood lights, etc would not convince me. I would want to hear something from my mom that only we know, not even something my siblings know too. Between me and my mom.

This family is in an agonizing position. I still don’t believe the ransom is legit and believe it’s a separate crime not directly connected to NG. IMO
Largely agreed that the ransom is possibly not legit but I can’t be sure. What we know isn’t enough to say one way or another. The family and LE know more about what happened that night. We don’t know what the investigations and interrogations have revealed.

I do think the silence is significant.
