The footage is 100% NOT him neither AG in disguise - please STOP these ludicrous suggestions!
100%??

People can't even agree if it's a male or female lol

it looks like this person walks quite directly towards the nest camera. Given it was dark they located it very quickly. I think that suggests they knew where to find it - either they’ve seen it before or been told where it was positioned. You don’t see the person scrambling to locate it. They seem to know it’s rough position even with their head pointed down when approaching the door.

Disabling it is another matter however…

The nest doorbell has different coloured lights, depending on the situation.

Is the level of police focus on AG and TC's house S.O.P. for a place the victim simply had dinner earlier, or is it more along the lines of investigating a primary or secondary crime scene?

My husband has just waltzed in and asked the following questions:
1) Are there signs of forced entry?
2) If this person had a key, all those layers of gloves would impede digging it out of a pocket and using it.
3) Why would an elderly person (he arched his eyebrow at me for this one) open the door in the middle of the night when someone rings the doorbell?
4) If you have a doorbell camera, wouldn't you check it? And if you see such a getup on your doorstep, would you open?

His opinion is that the front door was a distraction and there were 3 people: a driver waiting outside of camera range, someone going around the back of the house, and the person on the porch.

Mind you, he is another old person who has spent the day doing his day job and has just emerged to ask these things before doing our disabled son's pre-dinner routine with him.

Please be patient with us. We mean well.
I think these are all great questions

It's night vision, not b&w. The IR light causes some features to be exaggerated and some to be understated. This gives people and things an uncanny appearance.
And some criminals have used highlighter/makeup to try to trick cameras.

Does anyone know if anyone is streaming live footage of the homes/area right now? I know NBC kind of was before, and Brian Entin, but haven't been able to find anything right now. Curious what LE are doing there still, if at all

EDIT: To answer my own question, it looks like JLR Investigates on Youtube is live at NG's house right now (I think it's her house), and there's an active live comment section where people are talking about possibility of the SWAT trucks coming there

There's a lot of LOLs but I'm actually serious.
I believe it would be nothing but helpful and informative! Even if some read the rules they might not understand some things. I admit, some don't care one way or the other.

I would argue its a secondary crime scene. That's alot of focus for a place the victim had dinner.

I wonder if there were any interior cameras Operating at NG house and if one of those might have recoverable data?

Swat team has departed the sheriffs dept!
That didn't take long! Unified local police, FBI (with all their advanced capabilities) and 3rd party IT vendors all working together to get SG and AG some answers!

So true. Does SIL have plucked eyebrows? I hope not. The perp's eyebrows look way too groomed for a man but he's obviously a man.
Looking at the pictures again, I genuinely think that what we are thinking are eyebrows is shadowing from the mask. Even if it wasn’t, though, I know many men who groom their eyebrows.

As for SIL’s eyebrows, they look pretty thick to me but then again, I don’t think we are seeing the eyebrows with the ski mask

i am not LE professional and never have been, but i'm almost certain it's the latter. They may initially visit the place the person was last known to be at just as a good investigation practice, but if they don't have reason to think anything foul happened there, they won't waste their time digging around in it.

Many Mediterranean and Middle Eastern men appear to have oft-naturally occurring groomed-looking eyebrows. Could be genetics. Could be the hummus.

the way they struggled to cover the camera makes me think this person is not a seasoned criminal. Yes, they came very prepared in terms of concealing their identity and fingerprints etc. But they really struggled with the camera. Using the flowers was weird. Like obviously that wasn’t going to work.
He got what he wanted..NG. He had control of the media and attention for 10 days .He didnt get the ransom after the first note... (That might have been when things really went bad) He has evaded capture for 10 days. He will probably off himself before he is captured alive or he might be in Qatar before they can identify him. How much more seasoned do you want? This was someone obsessive who ruminated and plotted this for a long time. Not a Mafia hit..Those are much cleaner..JMO MOO

I will be disappearing in a bit to do the very grown-up, very responsible things a person my age is tasked with but I was wondering, and forgive me if this is an absolutely IDIOTIC question (as I said, we have a different brand of camera):

Doesn't AG, who doesn't live terribly far from NG's house, have alerts for the doorbell?

I know. Very dumb of me. I feel chastised even before posting, but if I lived closed enough to a fragile, elderly relative (ha! I have none...that layer of family is all long-gone!), and this technology was in place, I would want to be able to "check in" if something suspicious pinged?

Before anyone scolds me, or rolls their eyes at my silliness, I come from a different culture and generation and these things come to mind randomly.
