We get text alerts for one of our cameras and you know what? We silence our phones at night, lol? Why? The text alerts from the back camera detect a moth as a person even when we unchecked all the settings. After you have a camera system a while, you just get lazy with it. Its hard to be hypervigilant when nothing ever happens. Sad but true.
Yes & if they did have the camera on their phone but it is middle of night they likely were asleep too, and since it didn't record...

I will be disappearing in a bit to do the very grown-up, very responsible things a person my age is tasked with but I was wondering, and forgive me if this is an absolutely IDIOTIC question (as I said, we have a different brand of camera):

Doesn't AG, who doesn't live terribly far from NG's house, have alerts for the doorbell?

I know. Very dumb of me. I feel chastised even before posting, but if I lived closed enough to a fragile, elderly relative (ha! I have none...that layer of family is all long-gone!), and this technology was in place, I would want to be able to "check in" if something suspicious pinged?

Before anyone scolds me, or rolls their eyes at my silliness, I come from a different culture and generation and these things come to mind randomly.
My mother is 77 and my sister, who lives in the same suburb, has access to her cameras. Our mother hated it at first (i am not old! I need my privacy!) but has since realised the benefits. So it's not such a far-fetched idea to me at all, I am not rolling my eyes 😉

Okay, thanks. But what happened that he wants posters to pass a social media literacy test in order to post. That would rule out half of us, myself included.
You would have more chances to pass the test I'm sure! Just like a computer based learning course at work. Not to get off topic, but I've learned the hard way, by my posts getting removed because 1) I didn't read the rules or 2) didn't understand exactly what the rules were saying. So, I think taking a test would've been helpful to me and pretty much anyone. We should all be responsible in our posts. It's something I appreciate about websleuths and it's members!

A javelina has joined the FBI and PCSD walking houses in this neighborhood. So to recap today in the Guthrie case: surveillance images, pizza delivery, FBI and PCSD going door to door and a javelina sighting.

That and this person grabbed an entire fistful of plants with their hands when they tried to use them to cover up the Nest cam - even wearing gloves there is likely DNA on those gloves from the person. Or even potential saliva on the plants.

If they didn't already process those plants, would that still possibly be on there?

Literacy alone would get me expelled!

Per your last point, iiuc it might be more accurate to say her pacemaker was out of range when the app tried connecting. Implication, she was taken some time prior to 2:28.

JMO
This is actually a really good point. The distance between the pacemaker and phone to connect is very short and she has a HUGE house. For all we know, she just walked out of her room at 2:28 and never returned.

This seems close to home if the Walmart close to the house was where the perp bought things.

The person in the video seemed comfortable, calm walking to the door like they've been there before other than the camera situation. They knew it was there but wasn't 100% where..

I still wonder about any disgruntled neighbours or conflicts in the neighbourhood.

Okay, thank you very much!🙏

I am so hopeful that the SWAT movement means something. 🙌🏼

Depends on the nature of her hearing loss. I can't hear the doorbell without mine.
My grandma wore hearing aids and was always turning the wheel on them to adjust the sound.
Funny thing was, if she was in the kitchen without them and we as kids said something to each other in the living room she would reply us, like huh?
Some people have them because they don't hear high or low tones or have trouble hearing someone speak when there is a lot of background noises.
Can't really tell why Nancy has them, but she might be able to hear a doorbell.
Having a hearing aid doesn't mean completely deaf 😅

Gussied, there is someone close to the family who looks remarkably like those eyebrows, complete with criminal history. I see folks referencing STS here, so I’ll assume that it okay to say it’s mentioned in the comments there. IIRC, they even discussed the name in the live program. Friend of a family member, criminal history in line with this crime.

Ran the images of the masked individual at the Camera through Ai to see what he may look like under the mask based on facial structures etc and this is what it produced. (ODD)
What did it produce? Can you describe if you cannot post the pic?

I searched your image in Google Image Search & it said this (via AI):

This particular image or a video frame of this individual is often used in social media memes and short-form video clips (like those on TikTok or Instagram) to convey a sense of authority, seriousness, or a "tough but fair" persona. The high-contrast, monochrome style emphasizes his facial features and adds a dramatic tone to the content.

So they just gave you a frequently used picture.

maybe seasoned isn’t the word. This person struggled to disable the camera. Even resorting to using flowers. Seems very amateur. I don’t associate it with the actions of a profession/cartel etc. Certainly someone thought this crime through (mask, gloves etc)
Grip?..maybe, got some thick gloves on.

Nitrile gloves can be put in very harsh chemicals like acid, and burned. But I doubt Mr. reflective backpack followed through with that.
Let's make a list here of items needed to pull off perfect crime:
1. Reflective backpack
2. Flowers for covering up ring camera
3. Black latex gloves from Walmart or Tractor Supply
4. A keychain flashlight for mouth
5. A quarter zip from Belks

Did I miss anything

I mean I am trying to get my parents to get cameras but I can tell you right now they would never be ok with me having eyes on it. I have eyes on other places without elderly people (just convenience for us) but I can guarantee you they would feel it is an invasion of their privacy. However it is just as likely that AG did have NG's cameras on her phone, which, if so, then it makes it even more ludicrous that LE had to keep going back to find more

Has anyone noticed that the 1 million posts about the church lady have disappeared and are now being replaced with posts about plucked eyebrows and the kind of flowers near the front door? Just an observation..lol
