AZ Nancy Guthrie, 84, (mother of TODAY Show host Savannah Guthrie) missing - last seen in the Catalina foothills area on Jan 31, 2026

  • #19,261
I am curious everyone's thoughts on how the one person got NG to leave her home. NG per missing person report is approx 150 pounds. How would she leave the house walking if she can't walk far, and how would one person take her out of the house?
My money is on two perps, not one.

Considering there is video of a person obviously concealing their identity at her door breaking the nest doorbell camera, the family of Nancy and Law Enforcement say she was kidnapped, etc etc, it’s safe to attribute the blood to the kidnapper and not a coyote.
Yes what's up with coyote rattlesnake stuff

A lot of people are assuming there was no car just because it’s not visible in one security camera. A car could literally be anywhere out of frame.

Other than the evidence pointing towards someone taking her (such as a person being seen trying to enter house with a gun, ring camera being broken, etc), I would also add that I’ve never seen or heard of a coyote attacking a human. Coyotes aren’t that big; ive seen foxes bigger than coyotes.

ETA: just looked it up and apparently about 10 coyote attacks are reported in North America per year and the injuries are usually minor. I really don’t think one broke into her house and dragged her out of bed (not even taking into account the other evidence).

I definitely read she had a pet on here. Maybe it was a dog in that case? I’m not sure - the thread is moving so fast!
Some of the family photos and even those on missing person flyers show her holding a black dog. I think people here have figured out that that is AG's dog.

Multiple days too late. Who's in charge

They cleary sat on this video for days when it should have been released to the public ASAP. Totally unforgivable.
It was reported that they got this footage from Google just this morning via Kash Patel.

Because there was no sub service on NG's Nest cams they had to dig into their servers to retrieve it.

So sorry .. had seen pics of Nancy with a black poodle on her lap. Didn't realize it was not hers.
There are pics of her with a black poodle, I had read ( don't ask where so IMO) that it belongs to AG but zero confirmation on that. As it stands, NG has zero pets.

There's no dog. It isn't hers, but it keeps coming up repeatedly.

It's obvious "they" walked from the right of the house into view, I know there is also a image of the perp either before the incident or after without the bag/weapon.

More than likely it was parked on the garage side.

All this leaking info is making me really nervous for the sake of the investigation... it's certainly giving the perp ample time to relocate or kill himself knowing they're on his tail.

I was actually speculating that there was no car because of the amount of stuff in the rucksack. Why so full if perp is arriving and leaving in a vehicle?

But it is pure speculation, agree a vehicle could be out of sight.

I find the timing a bit odd myself but that can be reviewed later...

Have a feeling they lower their head like that to initially avoid being recognised, they are definitely someone close to NG
Well imo any bad guy wouldn’t want his face on video. I do see what you’re saying though!

There is footage of a man with a mask and a gun. Why are so many people talking about the wildlife of Arizona?!
